Order of the phoenix application
@phouxee
Connection to the Order: Sirius is known for his history and for his reaction to how his life had turned out, since his Hogwarts years. While a prankster with a temper that rivaled his mother’s, his quick wit, cunningness and ability to connect the dots were what made him a good prankster, but also what he vowed to never fail to listen to again. Being part of the Dueling club and the Quidditch team gave him the means to practice both physically and mentally. In his final years at Hogwarts, before the OWL’s, ever since he ran away, he became more determined and focused on his studies, more responsible and that can be seen in his OWL and NEWT scores. His drive is personal, loyal to the extremes towards his friends and his determination is unfaltering.
Useful Skills: Sirius is a Trainee Auror with the will to continuously prove himself, an Animagus so getting by with being seen isn’t a problem for him (would be difficult to explain how he got the information), he’s also a talented duelist, capable of nonverbal magic and gifted at charms.
Useful Affiliations: Being an Auror gave him the position to learn of Dark Wizards and could also gather information and affiliations from the Auror department itself. Being a Black, while not something that he’s proud of, means that there are a few members of the family he could try to get insight from, a few thread he could pull on.
Why join the Order of the Phoenix? Sirius is the definition of a Blood Traitor, the raw definition. He betrayed his family and fought against their ideals and values because he couldn’t accept them. Having proven himself different from a young age, his Hogwarts years only made the fact more evident and the gap between himself and his family more glaring. Sirius had but one goal and that was to not allow his family history get in the way of what he could and wanted to become. His family also showed him what he’s up against, giving him all the wrong examples and the knowledge of good and evil. Understanding what was at stake and furthermore, what the reasoning behind the ideals were, he has more than enough reasons to be against it and fight for what he believes in. Blood gave him nothing but suffering, in his youth and as he started the Auror program, and he never believed that it made him better than anyone else, he had been doubted because of his family ever since he started Hogwarts. His arrogance came from what he himself had worked for. That and his friendships. Knowing that the life he chose and worked for was something that other’s fought to eradicate and that his friends and himself were targets were the only reasons he needed.
