Connection to the Dark Lord: Rodolphus is the son of Adolph Lestrange, current Death Eater and long-time supporter of Lord Voldemort. When Rodolphus learned of the Dark Lord's plans to rid the wizarding world of unpure filth, Rodolphus jumped at the opportunity to join such a noble cause.
