HISTORY Mother: Belinda Sage, 50, pureblood Father: Victor Sage, 60, pureblood Siblings: Desmond Orpheus Sage , 27, pureblood Barnabas Sage, 24, pureblood Partners: N/A Others: N/A Boggart: Seeing her loved ones die. Not literally, but seeing it, through their eyes, feeling what they feel, experiencing it as though it was herself. Mirror of Erised: She's living in a house by the beach. It's beautiful. She can hear the sounds of her loved ones coming from inside the house; laughter, squeals of joy, happy voices, all accompanied by the sounds of the waves on the shore. Patronus: Swan - Aura has yet to master the art of producing a patronus, but when she eventually cracks it, it'll be a graceful swan. Aura was always a happy little fairy. Small and sweet, and cute as a button, she was the baby of the family, with two big brothers who she looked up to very much. The Sage family were purebloods, and she was raised properly, to be able to hold herself in any pureblood gathering, and bring nothing but respect to her family. Of course, behind closed doors, she could do and be whatever she liked. Often this was a little strange. She never told anyone at first, but when she was about five years old, she came into a power she wasn't particularly fond of. She could see the deaths of others. Not in a premonition sort of way, that would have been a horrible burden to bear. It happened for the first time when she came across a dead bird in the gardens. Caring and full of love, Aura dropped to her knees at its side and reached a delicate hand out to gently stroke its wings. The vision hit her like a freight train. She saw how it had died, saw the cat toying with it, felt its panic, and the pain of death. It upset her greatly and she ran to her mother for sanctuary, only to be told that she mustn't speak of her newfound ability to anyone outside of their family. Great. She got used to it over time, and by the time she was off to Hogwarts it was something she was more comfortable with. I mean, how often do you come across dead things anyway? It was an easy thing to avoid, really. So she hopped on the train, made lots of friends, and was sorted into Hufflepuff, which her parents were mortified by. Well, she couldn't help what the hat said, could she? She argued the toss with her mum and dad until they had to admit she was right, it wasn't her choice. She made the most of it, fitting in rather well in the cheerful house. She was confident and bright, sociable and sunny, and never spoke a word about her "gift" to her friends during her years at school. They just thought she was weird when she said she wanted to work with dead people after graduation, but she'd rather have them think that than reveal just how weird she really was. In truth, she'd had a couple of experiences with dead humans over the years, and it had given her a new outlook on her little talent. Most people suffered when they died, and yet everyone thought it was weird to want to take care of them after that point, like they suddenly had the plague or something. The dead deserved care just like the living. And so she graduated from Hogwarts and jumped straight into St. Mungo's. She had to do a few years of training first, but now she's just been plonked in the morgue as a coroner's assistant, and she's morbidly excited to get stuck in and probably witness more harrowing tales of death than most people could handle.
