She was the second child for Li Jie and Ai Chang, her older brother Jai Reo having been born a few years earlier. Suki had a happy childhood, wanting for nothing despite their family’s modest earnings. She was taught to be appreciative of what she had, and when she saw an opportunity to help someone else, she was expected to do whatever she realistically could. When she was sorted into Gryffindor upon her arrival at Hogwarts, she was eager to write home to let her parents know. She had been nervous about leaving home but found the castle quite comfortable, and her dorm mates became instant friends. Suki excelled at DADA, Transfiguration, Charms, and Ancient Runes. She enjoyed flying but never made the quidditch team, and instead participated in several clubs including Dueling Club, Photography Club, and Drama Club. After graduating from Hogwarts, Suki moved to London for work, thinking she could make it as a photographer but found her skills not quite up to par to keep steady work. She met Antony MacGowan while working for a coffee shop in Diagon Alley and though she wasn’t planning on settling down any time soon, she found herself in a serious, committed relationship with the hunky Scot. The pair have never married, but have been living together for nearly a decade, and recently welcomed twins, Ewan and Ai.
