He'd be lost without his career. Mirror of Erised: His family. Wife, kids, grandkids, all laughing and enjoying their time together. That's when he's at his happiest. Patronus: Chicken - Wes tells people it was marrying Addy, but honestly, it was the day he was made head of the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures. Shhh. Don't tell anyone. Westley Addison was the second son of Victor and Erica Addison. His older brother Bart was almost a decade older than him, and liked to lord it over little Wes at every opportunity. This led Wes to grow up feeling like he had to prove himself a lot. He worked his butt off to be cleverer and smarter than Bart, and honestly, it wasn't such a hard thing. Wes was naturally clever. Dorky, in fact. A complete nerd, really. He had an odd sense of humour, and the things he found funny or entertaining were often a bit weird to other people. He didn't mind. He was always just himself anyway, those that liked him didn't mind, and those that minded didn't matter. He was sorted into Ravenclaw when he was old enough to attend Hogwarts, and where else would he have been put, honestly? He was a total geek. He read all the books, put his hand up in every lesson, and embarrassed himself almost daily. By his sixth year he had reached six feet in height and wasn't such a weed anymore, but he still had a reputation as being a nerd. A pureblood nerd, though, which meant he was tolerated more than he might have been if he was from a lesser bloodline. He was a nerd, but he was no pushover. Wes can stand his ground just fine thanks to Bart giving him lots of practice, and he's impossibly stubborn when someone challenges him. He looks back on his Hogwarts years as an absolute blast. He had a group of good friends, he dated a bit, despite being a dork, and he won best dancer at the Yule Ball, to everyone's surprise. When he graduated he went straight into the Ministry. He had a fascination with animals and magical creatures, and so jumped into the Beast Division, which was super interesting. He met a gorgeous girl named Adeline, who had the best sense of humour, and thought he was hilarious. She liked him so much that she agreed to marry him. What the heck? Go Wes! They had their first child not long after they were married, and though they were still young, Wes took to fatherhood brilliantly. He had three daughters. Three. All girls. No heirs. And he didn't give a shit. They were amazing, and they had a fun, happy, carefree family life, which was the perfect thing to come home to after working hard all day. He eventually managed to claw his way up the ladder and become head of his department, which is just his proudest moment. Head of Department at the Ministry! Suck on that, Bart!! Now he Lords it over Bart, and he's recently become a granddad, which is so weird because he still feels like he's only twenty something, but he loves his life, and gives his kids and family his all.
