Sally Velvet was born to Salazar and Emilyn Velvet on a harsh winters night at their snowed in cabin. The couple were snowed in with no help on the way. Communication to the outside world was impossible but Salazar held his wife’s hand every step of the way. He coached and supported her through the hardest time of her life as she birthed their daughter into the world. Huddled up next to a warm fire, the family were complete for only a few days before tragedy struck. Alone and unable to leave, Emilyn was taking a turn for the worse. It had been 12 hours since their daughter had been born but Emilyn had lost a lot of blood. Salazar had no idea what to do but he tried all kinds of things to get them out of their predicament. After two days and three nights stuck in the snow blocked cabin, they were rescued. Sally, as Emilyn had named their daughter, was three days old. The rescuers had saved her and her father, but sadly Emilyn passed. Being a single father was not easy, but Salazar did everything in life for his daughter. He would ignore his own needs in order to provide everything his daughter could ever need. He was told time and time again that Sally needed a mother, a feminine role model in her life, but Salazar ignored them all. He knew what was beat for his daughter and a step-mother wouldn’t have made a difference. Yea parties, make overs, sleepovers, Salazar did it all. Sally was his whole world and when she left for Hogwarts, he was a broken man. Perhaps he did need a companion, but not until Sally was an adult at least. Sally was sorted into Hufflepuff where she thrived. Her compassion grew and she felt in her heart as though she could make the world a special place. Her father had always told her that her mother was with her, and that meant so much to her while she was away from home. The thought that her mother’s spirit was keeping watch over her helped Sally through some difficult times. Her father’s letters and care packages kept her going, too. She could recall their burnt cookies as a child, but as she grew, her father’s baking became flawless. Every cake and cookie that her father sent was full of love and Sally would share her father’s baked goods with anyone that wanted some. Sally was a good student, not the best academically, but she was always a bit of a Professors pet. She got above average grades, usually, and her vision of changing the world was always on the change. Would she become a lawyer? A healer? A politician? How could she possibly enact the kind of change she wanted to see in the world? How could she make the world, a place that was gradually folding to darkness, a better place? After graduation Sally went on to study law. On one of her few weekends where she wasn’t studying, she took her a trip to Diagon Alley. She did nothing special, just enjoyed a stroll and the fresh air. She enjoyed walking not knowing that she would meet the love of her life who she would marry and have four beautiful children with. Sally worked hard to achieve her goals. She wanted to put her talents towards a worthy cause and she did some pro bono work for charities. She would help non-profit places get the funding they were entitled to, she would defend them against those that tried to take advantage and she helped in a hands on capacity when she had the time. Eventually most of her work revolved around charities and she took on control of a children’s charity that the founder left due to ill health. Sally has to answer to a board, which really grinds her gears, but she’s pretty good at getting her own way. Her four kids are all now pretty grown up, her youngest two still at Hogwarts and her older two out in the world on their own, although her little Donny is a home bird. With such a desire to change the world and the world in need of saving more now than ever, it’s no surprise that she joined the Order of the Phoenix. She’s still very much in love with her husband and always getting up to mischief with her bestie. OOC Play By: Amy Poehler! Your Alias: Coco! Pronouns: Coco! Age: Coco! Other Characters: Coco!
