It's hard to put into words just how extraordinary Gabriel Ollivander is so I'm telling you now, I'm not even going to bother. You'll just have to find out for yourself about his charismatic smile, his smooth voice and his charm. Oh Merlin's panties his charm! From the day he was born he was the sweetest person you could ever imagine. Selfless to a fault but never in a self-detrimental way. He's been told several times over the course of his life that he's an "old soul" and whether he believes it or not is neither here nor there for he won't let on what he thinks and he won't narrate you for your thoughts or beliefs either. He's wise and rather pragmatic like that. A gift to Hogwarts, Gabriel graduated the pride of Ravenclaw, he was a glowing, gleaming guy that everyone loved. He was friends with everyone but a brother to few. You see, while Gabriel has a biological brother, he also considers his former doormats his brothers, too, you see "the blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb". The bond he has with his brother of battle is stronger than that of the bond he shares with his biological brother. Though he considers his brother a great friend too, it's a case of he loves his brother because they're friends, because they've been through so much with one another, not because they were born of the same parents. They could have had a third sibling that was a total wanker and Gabriel wouldn't have cared much for them, as it was they were only two brothers and a great two brothers at that. I'll stop rambling crap now. After Hogwarts the world opened itself to many opportunities for Gabriel and he grabbed them. Not all of them, he's not some kind of superman (although if ever there was a human close enough to be considered a superman, Gabriel might well be it), but the ones he wanted to fill his life with. He worked for his grandfather, learning the family craft as an adult rather than the child he had started as, he travelled the world, falling in and out of love. He stole his brother's girlfriend and took a job at his father's Hogsmeade store, running it and making wands. Eventually, when he turned 30, his father gifted him the shop. It was entirely his own. I know, I know. "Back up", I hear you scream, yeah yeah. So we should probably talk about him stealing his brother's girlfriend. It wasn't really "stealing" more, "she-wanted-him-and-not-his-brother-so-she-and-his-brother-broke-up-and-then-after-a-little-while-the-two-of-them-started-dating". Not at all a mouthful! Honestly, she's the best thing to have ever happened in his life. She's fun and fair, she has compassion and humility, and best of all, she looks badass fighting crime and raising their daughter.
