“You’re missing a pretty brilliant version of Roxeanne,” Ollie replied, though in truth Echo was a bit pitchy. Even the tile and water acoustics weren’t saving her, but she was really going for it, which Ollie adored. Pulling a chair away from the table, Ollie sat. “You think she’s okay, don’tcha?” he asked, though his brother was (hopefully) smart enough to pick up that Ollie wasn’t asking about Echo’s future career as a songstress, but about her as one half of what Ollie thought was a pretty spectacular couple. He tried to brush his hair out of his face and got his hand stuck for a moment. When he pulled it away he realized that his hands, as well as his hair, were still covered in sticky soda. He stood again and moved to the sink to wash up.

Echo was enthusiastic at best, she could hold a tune, but it wasn't as endearing to Kit as it might be to Ollie. He blocked it out as best he could as Ollie stood up to have a quick wash at the sink. Kit was surprised by his question. "Why would you even ask that?" Kit frowned, serving up the rest of the eggs and toast. "She'd take a spell for all three of my siblings, she's more than okay." She'd fire a spell for them, too, if it came down to it. Kit didn't think Ollie could have picked a better girl to date. Ollie ran his hands under the water, grabbing a bar of soap and rubbing it into a lather between his palms. He nodded at Kit’s assertion, and added “she’d probably fire a few at us, too.” He laughed, rinsing the bubbles and inspecting to make sure his hands were clean. His hair would have to wait until Echo was out of the shower so he could have a proper wash.

Another comfort food from his childhood. Roma was about the best behaved out of all of his siblings, but then again, she was the baby, she hadn't had much of a chance to get into trouble like Sera and Ollie had. Kit hoped she'd stay innocent a while longer.  Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo finished up her rousing rendition of Dancing Queen and turned off the shower, drying off and rummaging in Ollie's drawers for something comfy to put on. She found a clean pair of sweatpants and a t-shirt that she knew he only used for sleeping. At least if there were any more spills she wouldn't ruin anything nice on him. The smell of eggs and toast floated up the stairs to her as she opened the bedroom door and trotted down the hall, following her nose and her grumbling stomach. She hoped Kit had calmed down enough by now to be nice, but she swung into the kitchen with a bright smile anyway, seeing the table loaded with enough food to feed a small army. "Oh, yum!" she said, skipping to the table and having a closer look at the very basic feast. Ollie held back his laughter. “I know, Sera is really a pain sometimes,” he replied, as if that remark hadn’t been firmly pointed in his direction. Generally the brothers got on well, all his siblings did really, but living together was bound to cause some friction now and again. Ollie knew Kit loved him and if he was ever really, truly fed up with his little brother living with him, he knew Kit would figure out a way to tell him. And Ollie would probably only drag his feet a little when it came to moving out because he really did like living with his brother and if he was slow about it he’d have the extra bonus of annoying his big brother one last time as flat mates. Ollie hoped it wouldn’t come to that anytime soon.
Hands clean and dried Ollie returned to the table, smiling at the piles of food as Echo sat beside him. “Why’s my shampoo smell better on you than me?” he asked, plopping some food on the plate in front of her as an answer to her question.

"No, I expect you to sit and watch me eat," he quipped, helping himself to a glass of juice as Ollie piled food onto his and Echo's plates, ruining Kit's attempt at humour. He went quiet and focused on eating as Ollie asked Echo a question that made Kit slightly uncomfortable. Echo did smell good, but complimenting her on it in front of Kit was just opening up a flirtatious avenue that Kit didn't want to be dragged down. Ollie probably didn't even realise he was doing it, which only added to Kit's sense of awkwardness. Whatever they say your soul's unbreakable Echo pursed her lips as Kit tried to tease her. Ollie started to fill her plate for her, and she picked up a piece of toast and bit into it as he asked why his shampoo smelled better on her. It didn't smell better on her at all. One of Echo's favourite things about Ollie was his hair, the way it swished when he moved, how it shone in the sun when it was freshly washed, the smell of him when she hugged him. It drove her wild. "It smells amazing on you," she told him, reaching over to flip a strand of sticky hair away from his face. "So does sticky lemonade." She thought Kit might be struggling to swallow his food across the table, but his eyes were glued to his plate so she couldn't tell. "Lemonade and two days of sitting in the lounge. He raised his arm that was closer to Kit than Echo and gave his armpit a sniff then pretended to gag. “Oh yeah, that’s the stuff.” He needed a shower even before the exploding drink. Ollie wiggled his eyebrows playfully at Echo, shoving a piece of toast in his mouth as he did so. “Any fun plans for the rest of the day?” he asked his brother, wondering if he and Echo needed to clear out to give him some space after they ate or if they would be free to go back to lounging on the sofa.
