HISTORY Mother: Sherry West, pureblooded Hufflepuff alumna Father: Unknown pureblood (mummy knows but won't tell!) Siblings: Half-brothers and sisters maybe, who knows! Partners: None Others: None Boggart: Dumbledore yelling at her, telling her she's failed Hogwarts and has to leave immediately in front of all of her friends Mirror of Erised: A lot of friends, people talking to her. She loves the idea of being popular Patronus: No patronus. She has a lot of happy memories of hanging out with her friends and time with her mum, but nothing strong enough for an actual patronus. What is there to say about our darling Harper Alexis? Not a whole lot to be honest. She was raised by her mother and had no siblings or father, not a present one at least. She was a happy child, although a bit brutish with other children her age or younger. She would be a bit of a bully, purely because her thoughts were all about her. She wouldn't think of how her actions or words would affect other people and she just carried on and did just about whatever she wanted. Her mother worked hard to keep them afloat. Over the years Harper recalls her mother having multiple jobs, working in a bar, working as a waitress, working in random shops here and there. Harper was often babysat by the neighbours. The ones with kids quickly got tired of her stealing the toys of their kids and so she needed up being mostly babysat by older witches with time on their hands and no children. They all seemed to adore her, though. It was as though butter couldn't melt. Harper schooled at Hogwarts, sorted into Slytherin. She was loud and obnoxious and smarter than she ever gave herself credit for. She hated school work and often failed essays and lessons because she simply preferred doing what she wanted over essays and boring crap. She was pretty good in the lessons, it was just the homework side of life that she struggled with. It earned her a lot of detentions where she would have to do the homework anyway as well as clean a few mouldy cauldrons or repot some screaming mandrakes. She procrastinated big time. Last summer, between her fifth and sixth year, Harper asked her mum about her dad. Her mum was a little surprised, Harper had never really asked about him before because she had never really given him a thought, but her curiosity was growing and so she asked, rather bluntly and her mother spluttered over some answers although not a whole lot which irritated Harper. Harper didn't get a whole lot out of her mother, she discovered her father was a married man with whom her mother was having a frequent affair with quite a while back. After Sherry had told him she was pregnant he wanted called it all off. He gave her money every month to help support Harper and paid for her school books and Hogwarts needs every year, but beyond that Harper's mother was, well, mum on the subject. At the start of her sixth year, Harper worked on focusing on her studies more, but it's not really gone all that differently. When she sits down and works on an essay she can easily pull an E, occasionally an O, but she feels that's more luck and sympathy (and surprise!) from the Professors for her actually handing in something, rather than the grade she deserves. She's currently in her sixth year and fancies just about every guy that passes her line of sight. She's a terrible flirt in the sense that she'll flirt and she'll be terrible at it. She has no idea how to hold a conversation, let alone some kind of sexy one. Her friends are great, though. They're the loyal types that can put up with her brand of boldness and she's extremely protective of them. She'll go to war for her friends if someone wrongs them.
