 Give me love like never before 'cause lately I've been craving more Spring meant the grounds at the castle had burst to life. April had brought with it the cherry blossom trees on the western edge of the gardens. They were one of the lesser known wonders of the castle. Their part of the grounds were tucked away in a little corner of bliss, away from the main gardens that most of the students frequented. Lucy had discovered the little treasure trove of magical flowers and plants in her third year. She had a habit of wandering the castle and its grounds, looking for undiscovered places, things that not many knew about. The cherry blossom grove was one of her favourites. It bloomed every spring with beautiful pink flowers, sparkling magical plants growing around the trees, lighting the place up. But the most magical thing of all were the fireflies. They loved the little quiet corner just as much as Luce did and at night they lit up the trees in their hundreds. There was a chill in the air, but she didn't feel it as she headed across the grounds for her secret spot, a book tucked under one arm, her wand lighting the way. The sun was setting on the horizon, but curfew was hours away, she was perfectly allowed to be outside for a while and enjoy her own little haven. Reading under the stars, nothing but fireflies to light her way, a bed of pink petals on the ground. She couldn't think of anything she wanted more tonight. Her feet crunched in the grass, boots capable of handling any mud she trod in, and finally reached the grove. It glowed with a beautiful pink hue, the fireflies already out as the sky darkened overhead. Soon the sun would be gone completely, but she had a few minutes to find herself a comfortable spot before it set fully. Heath would never for a moment think that he knew every little nook and cranny of the castle and its grounds. He was well aware that because of its size and the magic that Hogwarts was built with that no one would ever know all of its secrets. Heath wondered if the founders knew of all the secrets. There was the supposed chamber that Salazar Slytherin was said to have built, but were there other little secrets that the founders had snuck into the castle? Heath would have loved to find out, to have used all his time at Hogwarts to explore the grounds and castle but lessons were a slight priority over exploration of the magnificent castle. Not all days were full of lessons, however.
Heath found himself sitting on the edge of a second floor window, staring out at the grounds. It looked cold but inviting and Heath couldn't resist the evening's call. He hopped off the ledge and made his way down to the entrance. The doors were open and the grounds called to him, pulling him outside. The difference between inside the castle and outside of the castle was a stark contrast. Heath tugged his jacket a little tighter against himself before he set out across the grounds.
The evening was beautiful. The sky was growing darker and on his walk he spotted a familiar shape. Heath followed Miss Fawcett to an area he wasn't aware of. It was rather secluded. Intimate. Heath began to deliberately make noise as he knew he was getting closer to Lucy. He didn't want to startle her. Soon she came into sight and Heath smiled. She was positively radiant. "What a beautiful little sanctuary you've found." He turned to a flower near by and slipped his hand beneath it, gently tilting the head of the flower up as he bent down to take in it's sweet fragrance.

Give me love like never before 'cause lately I've been craving more Twigs cracking somewhere in the distance made Lucy turn her head. She caught a flash of blonde hair through the trees and turned to peer around the cherry blossom she was about to settle against. Her heart doubled in speed when she caught sight of Heath Scamander approaching her in the twilight. His hair shone like spun gold in the light of the setting sun, and she watched as he bent to admire one of the strangely beautiful flowers in the grove. "You've never been here before?" she asked, surprised that he hadn't roamed this way yet. She got the impression that Heath knew more about the castle than she did but it seemed she had him beat just this once. "Magical, isn't it?" Much more comfortable in his presence thanks to the time they'd spent together this past school year, Luce moved closer to him, her book tucked under her arm. She ran a finger over the petals of one of the flowers Heath had been admiring. There were parts of the castle and its grounds that Heath didn't know about. The castle was so full of magic and mystery that he was certain no one person could possibly know every single nook and cranny of it, but it was always a slender when he discovered something new. Sure it had probably been discovered before, but it didn't take away from his enjoyment and wonder. Hogwarts was one of his most favourite places to be thanks to its mysteries and wonder. "Never. It's stunning." He smiled, glancing to Lucy as she ran her hand over the petal in front of him, "Of course, it's nothing compared to you." He slid his fingers over hers, they were small and delicate. He hadn't intended on following Lucy into this secluded area just to hit on her, but he couldn't pass up the opportunity, she looked magical, positively radiant, and he just couldn't resist.

As comfortable as she had grown in his company recently, she still had a massive crush on Heath, something she had tried to keep a lid on whenever they spent time together for fear of making a fool of herself. And now here he was calling her stunning. Her feet felt rooted to the spot. If there was a subtle way for her to sink into the leaves under her feet and die, she would have taken it. Alas, she had no escape route, and quite honestly, she didn't want one. She had daydreamed about Heath Scamander fancying her for a good year or more, and to deny herself this moment out of awkwardness would be insane. Luce had no idea what to say without sounding like an idiot. She turned her palm upward, her fingers lacing with his, and tore her gaze from their hands, sucking in another breath of surprise to find him staring at her. Lucy's hand turned in his, their fingers intertwining with one another. Heath took a moment to let his eyes travel over her face, her skin almost glowed, it was a radiant sheen. Leaning in heh thought of the moments that had brought them here, the times they had spent with one another and the bond they had developed over the last several months. His lips touched on hers gently, his eyes closed but he could still see her beauty. Her aura enveloped his minds eye because there was not a single part of Lucy Fawcett that was not beautiful, both in the real world and in his mind.

Heath was looking at her as though she were some kind of ethereal creature he had never discovered before, and Luce had to wonder if she wasn't one for a second. Was she floating? Glowing? She didn't have time to consider it, because Heath leaned closer, his lips gently touching hers. Lucy's lips parted in a gasp, her whole body tingling with surprise and excitement. Her heart drummed loudly in her ears as she reached her free hand up to softly touch Heath's face, returning his kiss. The book that had been tucked under her arm thudded to the ground at her side, but she ignored it. His lips were as soft as she had imagined, and her fingers traced his cheekbones, memorising every line, every curve. She was on her tiptoes now, leaning into him, their fingers still wound together. The feeling of Luce's soft lips against Heath's was just the beginning of everything wonderful and magical about this encounter. While one hand was caught up in her own, his other slid gently around to her back, just incase she needed help keeping steady on those tippy toes of hers. While his eyes were closed it was as though all his other senses kicked up a notch; he could smell the scent of the shampoo she'd used in her hair, waves of floral scents came at him from the flowers surrounding them. On top of it all his could feel how close her body was to his, he wanted to draw her into his chest but it would all happen in good time. Lucy wasn't the sort of girl he just wanted to rush things with, their connection wasn't just a physical thing, she met him as an equal on an intellectual and personal level. She was the only Lucy Fawcett in the world, a delicate flower that could never be replicated, and he, Heath Scamander, had her all to himself in this serene moment.

Give me love like never before 'cause lately I've been craving more Heath's hand on the small of her back sent tingles running along Lucy's spine. She felt like she was floating, like a firefly herself, drifting high above the ground amongst the glowing lights, light as a feather and filled with pure bliss. Her fingers moved from his cheekbones, sliding into the golden mess of hair that spilled down around Heath's shoulders. It was like silk beneath her fingertips, and Luce's touch was soft yet confident. She, unlike her cousin Phoebe, was not the type to grab fistfuls of hair in a frenzy of passion, but she wasn't afraid to enjoy the moment, either. The moment that ended all too soon because if she'd have carried on kissing him any longer, she'd have ran out of breath and fainted. That was not the effect she was going for when she was around Heath. She leaned back, just enough to suck in a shaky breath, his hair still entwined in her fingertips. The setting was perfect, the girl was perfect. Just everything about this moment was perfect. While Heath could barely bring himself to part with Lucy's tender lips, he was pleased to be able to look upon her beauty once more. Her face was centimetres away from his own but heath could see her cheeks were gently flushed with colour, a soft, rosy pink. He could feel her fingers in his hair. Gently he slipped his hands to her hips, flattered and mirroring her sentiments, smiling just a touch. "You're amazing." He said softly, lifting a hand to gently caress her warm cheek.

At least she'd be able to pick up her book if she did that, otherwise she was going to have to pull away from him to get it, and she didn't want to do that, either. Instead, she turned her face skyward, taking in the beauty of the fireflies lighting up the pink cherry blossoms all around them. It was a perfect night already, but Heath had just taken it above and beyond. She glanced back at him, feeling a tiny bit shy. Lucy looked up and for a moment, Heath just enjoyed the sight of her slender neck and the dip down to her chest. She was radiant, a word he just couldn't get out of his head when he was with Lucy. Heath looked up, too, enjoying the natural beauty of Lucy's remote spot. She asked if he wanted to stay with her for a while and nothing would have made him happier in that moment, "Absolutely." He said, reaching up and tucking a strand of loose hair behind her ear and lowering his hand.

Give me love like never before 'cause lately I've been craving more With a relieved smile, Luce retrieved her book from the ground and took Heath's hand, leading him through the trees. "I'll show you my favourite spot," she said, squeezing between some rose bushes and emerging into an area where the trees were thicker. There was a canopy of pale pink lights overhead, stars from the night sky peeking through where they could. "Did you know that these are Cherry Fireflies?" she said, looking up again. "They grow in the buds of the cherry blossoms and when the flowers bloom, they float out and fill the sky." They would only be around for a few weeks, as long as it took for the blossoms to wilt and die until next year, so this was the only time of year she could enjoy this little magical grove. Lucy paused by one of the larger trees, which had a groove in the bottom the trunk, almost like a little nook. She had a small bag tucked away there with blankets in for chilly evenings, which she pulled out now, spreading a blanket over the grass and sitting down, her back nestled in the nook of the tree. Heath held on to Lucy's hand as she guided him through this magical wonderland. He was at a loss, how could he have been at this school for so long, explored so much both inside and out, and yet he had never managed to discover such profound beauty? Heath came to a stop beside Lucy and looked up, following her gaze. It was incredible, the most beautiful spot in Hogwarts had just been outdone by this. Heath was caught up in the sound of Lucy's honeyed voice. "You're full of wonders." He said, looking at to her entrancing eyes once more. "How did you find this place?"

Give me love like never before 'cause lately I've been craving more Lucy pulled another blanket out and spread it over herself and Heath as they sat in the nook of the huge tree. "I got lost in my first year," she admitted, cringing a little at how silly and naive she had once been. "I saw the lights and thought it was the castle, but it turned out to be these trees." Luckily Sage, her owl, had been with her, and he had managed to fly ahead and lead her back to the castle eventually, or she'd have had one soggy night out there alone.
