She's the spare part of the family, nobody really wanted her, and she's a disappointment anyway. Mirror of Erised: Who the hell knows!? Patronus: Wildcat - Being given a job at Hogwarts and realising that she wasn't quite the fuck up she thought she was destined to be. Her life was back on track in the blink of an eye, and it was a major happy turning point in her life. Nerissa, Neri, Rissa, whatever you want to call her, is the youngest of four sisters. She says she was destined to get a bit lost in life. She had a lot to live up to, especially with Storm and Isla being so ambitious and sure of where they were going in life. Nerissa never really knew what she wanted. She was indecisive as a child, changing her opinion often as she always thought the grass was greener elsewhere. She was a very confident kid, bubbly, outspoken, braver than Storm at times, though Storm would argue otherwise. Nerissa was always willing to throw in a differing opinion without thinking twice about it. Not necessarily argumentative, but she wouldn't hold back to please others. Her voice was just as important as everyone else's. Anyone else who tried to argue with her sisters would also get a mouthful from Nerissa. School was a wild ride for Neri. She was sorted into Gryffindor - duh - and made a group of close friends. She wasn't overly popular, but the friends she did have were friends for life. She was clever, especially in classes like DADA, Alchemy, and Charms. She could blast her professors across the room with ease, though she wasn't one to brag about it, and her potions were particularly explosive. She went off the rails just a little bit in her teens, taking up drinking and partying, getting her nose pierced and a secret tattoo that her parents still don't know about. She pushed almost every boundary just to see what would happen if she did, and honestly, she got into some pretty risky scenarios in life before she decided to get her shit together. She had left school, spent a few years wasting her life away, and then got a letter from Albus Dumbledore out of the blue, inviting her to join the Order of the Phoenix. Well, that was a shocker. He knew she was a brilliant duellist, and possessed a fierce sense of saying fuck you to the bad guy, and he needed that. Apparently. She agreed after dithering over the invite for months, and it was honestly the best thing she ever did. Dumbledore offered her a teaching position at Hogwarts after a few years of watching her waste her talents on odd jobs. She became the Alchemy Professor, her brain finally being challenged every day, and her students giving her an outlet for her natural sass. She's known for being firm, fair, and very quirky around the castle, which she is happy about. She;ll take quirky badass as a title any day.
