PERSONALITY Boggart: Her parents killing Cora Mirror of Erised: Cora as herself under the full moon. Patronus: Polar Bear - Agreeing to be in the Auror training program! With a round face and adorable eyes, Lottie is able to pull off the most spectacular puppy-dog look you could ever imagine. She looks like a wounded animal in need of help and there’s nothing you can do to resist. She’s adorable, she’s angelic, she’s totally manipulating the hell out of you. She is not as sweet as she appears to be. She will come back at you with the sassiest of sass if you dare cross her, she will put you in your place if you dare assume she’s a dainty little flower, and she will not hesitate in grabbing a beaters bat and slamming a bludger your way if you piss her off one too many times. She doesn’t take anyone’s crap and she will always, always stand up for the underdog. She’s not afraid of physical confrontation and she’s always willing to put her money where her mouth is. If you can’t walk the walk then don’t talk the talk because Lottie will call you out on it. She doesn’t care if she humiliates you in the process because you shouldn’t be talking shit. With saying that, she is very caring and hyper-protective of her loved ones, her big sisters in particular. Lottie is the baby of the family but she is fierce and she is fucking scary at times! Do not piss her off! HISTORY Mother: Angelique Vance nee Warrington, super-bitch, pureblood Father: Henry Vance, arsehole, pureblood Siblings: Cora Calliope Vance , amazing big sister, love, adore, perfect as she is, pureblood Emmeline Vance, incredible big sister, love, adore, pureblood Partners: No one Others: No one Happy family, Hogwarts, sorted into Hufflepuff, became Prefect, perfect little student, right? Well sort of. There was a time when Lottie was just the baby of the family and when she enjoyed that role. Everyone would look out for her and she had no problems with that. She loved being the centre of attention and she loved to be loved. Her early life was simple and her Hogwarts years were easy, right up until her sister was attacked. Lottie was terrified. Her sister had just been out, enjoying herself with friends, and then the next thing they all knew, Cora was in hospital, fighting for her life. Lottie is not afraid to admit that she struggled a bit with what happened to Cora initially. She was so used to everyone rallying around her that when it was time to rally around Cora she felt completely lost. That was until a couple of months later when her parents completely refused to have anything to do with Cora. Their own daughter. Cora was a werewolf and according to Henry and Ange Vance, that was something to be ashamed of. Rumours took off and their parents withdrew from having anything to do with Cora. Lottie no longer felt lost, she felt furious. She penned angry letter after angry letter to her parents who simply ignored her. She was away at Hogwarts so naturally they didn’t have to respond. OUt of mind out of sight to her parents, but Lottie had a good memory and she would not so easily forget about what her parents were doing. Over the Christmas and Summer holidays they were rarely around, but when they were Lottie shamed them constantly, but her parents were too proper to retaliate, they just ignored her and spent even less time with her. They had gone from a perfect family to utterly torn. Children versus parents. Lottie and Emme rallied around Cora to the point that Cora probably thought it was too much, but they would always be there for their sister. Lottie joined a duelling club at school and channelled a lot of her rage into duelling. She had always been smart, a quick study, but she was impossibly fast and talented when it came to duelling. She never ran for Captain, despite people telling her she ought to, because she didn’t feel she was in it for the right reasons. She was there to simply kick everyone’s arse. That and running were her outlets. After school was over, Lottie signed up right away with the Ministry. She signed up for the Hit Wizards training. Her thinking was that after a year of study and training, she’d be able to do her part to help out in the world and to help protect people that couldn’t always protect themselves. People like Cora. A few days after her interview Lottie was asked to come back and she was offered a place in the Auror training program. She weighed up her options but ultimately took the place offered to her. She’s nearing completion of her second year and lives with her sisters in a house they rent together. She’s a member of the Order of the Phoenix and is focused on making positive changes in the world, although the Ministry seems hellbent on making that difficult.
