Modern ... cool ... she could cope with those terms. "Yeah." Yeah, that was fine. Kit questioning them and shoving food into his mouth wasn't so fine but it was an angle she'd never really thought of. She still couldn't really think about it, her mind was more focused on the fact that she was going to have a screaming, needy baby in about eight months time and she had no idea how to hold a baby, let alone look after one. There was something about the head, you had to hold it? Maybe. She had no idea, but she felt confident that she'd learn. Eight months was plenty of time to learn how to be a parent to a newborn. She'd be fine, "Thanks, Ollie." She smiled, her whole body relaxing a little as she walked over to him, reached out her arms and gave him a hug. Kit could get stuffed unless he was able to come up with something supportive to say, but Sera wasn't going to hold her breath.

Ollie could feel himself wanting to ramble again, if nothing else but to drown out the dismissive, questioning tone Kit was using but his brother shoveled cereal into his mouth and Sera had come over and given him a hug, so there was no need to ramble again. Yet. Ollie wrapped his arms around his sister more tightly than he had done in a long while and whispered “it’ll be okay” into her ear. He held her for a moment longer before loosening his grip and then taking an obnoxiously large inhale and sighing loudly. “Merlin’s balls, so what now?” he asked, genuinely baffled at how the siblings were supposed to proceed from this point.

He felt like a jerk, but he couldn't help it. His instinct to protect his siblings overpowered everything in his life, it had done since he was a kid, since their mum had died. He couldn't protect Sera from something like this. Aside from starting off his job as an uncle in the shittiest way, he didn't know what he was supposed to do to fix the fact that some arse wipe had knocked his little sister up. He stood up and crossed to the sink, dropping his bowl into it with a loud clang and wincing at the noise; the only sound he'd made in quite a few minutes now. Ollie's question bothered him more than his brother knew. Kit wanted an answer, too. What now? Ollie was the best hugger. He always had been. It was strange but Sera always thought like it was hugging dad. He had this protective aura and a warm embrace, just like dad. Kit was a freaking robot. Sera felt as though she could count on one hand the amount of hugs she'd received from him in recent years. As a kid he'd been more open for hugs but these days he always felt so distant. Sera didn't really like that she and Kit had drifted so far apart, and continued to do so, but it wasn't something she was going to be able to fix now, and honestly, she wasn't sure if she'd ever be able to fix them now with news that she was pregnant. "I don't know," Sera said, taking a deep breath and letting go of Ollie, but resting her head against the side of his arm, "I've been thinking I should probably look at getting a place of my own." She re-thought that decision once again, "Maybe." Because maybe it would be better to stay home with her dad? Who did that? Who lived at home with the dad and sister while having a baby? What in the hell was she supposed to do?

Ollie shot his brother a look as he washed his dish as loudly as possible. Honestly, this wasn’t the sort of news he’d been expecting but the least Kit could do was muster up a single word of support. Ollie knew his brother would get there eventually, and until then Ollie could just ramble through for the both of them. “Yeah, your own place could be cool.” But definitely not a smart move. “Might be nice to have dad there to babysit while you work though. Kit and I will babysit, too, you know. I do it all the time for Dora anyway. Kids love me.” He looked to his brother for confirmation that he'd help out. Ollie knew Sera just needed reassurance right now.

How was she supposed to cope completely alone with a new baby? That was Dora level kind of stupid, but he didn't say so. She was clearly already annoyed at his reaction, he didn't want to make things worse. His bowl was gleaming when he finally dried it and put it away in the cupboard, turning to face his siblings and finally looking Sera in the eyes. "Whatever you need," he said quietly. "You know we're always here. And I'm here. I just worry about you, Sera. I want you to have a good life. I want you to be happy." Kit ran a hand through his hair as he tried desperately to keep control over his emotions. Maybe talking to his dad would help because it appeared he was having more trouble with all of this than Sera was. Ollie seemed to think that it was probably better to stay at home, and Sera supposed it would be good to have her dad on hand during the night when she could try and get some sleep, and she supposed Ollie was probably responsible enough with a baby, right? But Kit? Sera looked to her big brother, expecting him to say something terribly disappointing, but she was surpised, he was actually kind of supportive, although it seemed he was taking the news kind of hard. “Thanks, Kit” She said timidly, tears beginning to form in her eyes, something she had NOT expected at all. She didn’t like having to rely on so many people, but this was family, family stuck by you no matter what and even Kit knew that.

Apparently glaring at the back of his brother’s head had finally done the trick, and Kit finally spoke. And said something nice, on top of it. Ollie was pleased. He gave Kit a pat on the back and rubbed Sera’s arm supportively.

He bit his lip, hating seeing his sister upset, and pulled both of his siblings into a tight bear hug. He held them there for a long time before he felt like he could speak without bursting into tears, himself. His voice came out in a whisper. "If I promise not to kill him and just beat him up, will you tell me who the father is?" He was kidding. Half kidding. Sort of. Sera was pretty good at keeping secrets. There was the one time that Romy got diarrhoea and pooped all over a clothes shop that she hadn't been able to resist telling Darcy and Echo about, and there was the time at school when she found out that Blake Delamoore had a crush on Echo that she just had to tell the girs about, but beyond little things like that, Sera was a vault ... unless it came to her own secrets and her family. She had a soft spot for her dad and her siblings, plus Darcy and Echo, of course. She had to tell them everything that was going on in her life, but this? Sera had no idea how she was going to handle talking about the father of her child. "He's just a guy I met at a club on New Years Eve." She said with a shrug, her voice a little muffled against Kit's chest, although she was certain Kit was going to hate that she'd had a one night stand. She recalled his name was ... was ... she was drawing a blank. It would come to her later, but right now, under the suspenseful eyes of her brothers, she couldn't think of the guy's name. She remembered he was hot, the kind of guy you wouldn't mind making a baby with, ironically, but his name was evading her, unlike his steel blue eyes which she could practically see right now. Well anyway, if she couldn't remember his name then she could always ask Romy, or Darcy, or Echo. They all had the details and she was certain they wouldn't forget.

Kit had pulled them both in for a tight bear hug and Ollie fought desperately against the urge to ramble and joke about not being able to breath. Kit was finally acting like a supportive brother and Ollie knew exactly how hard that was for him, because it was impossibly hard for Ollie himself! Their baby sister was knocked up and on track to end up just like Dora, which was the most depressing thought at the moment, but Ollie shoved those thoughts down deep, right next to the line about how Kit was acting like Lenny and the bunny. More suppressed thoughts joined soon enough as Sera admitted the baby’s father was just a random bloke from a new years eve party. Ollie felt sick, but he kept a cool expression on his face for Sera’s sake.

Some random guy in a club? This was worse than he had originally thought. He glanced sideways at Ollie, noting the forced nonchalance on his brother's face. "Oh," Kit said, nodding his head, trying desperately not to fly into a rant. This was literally Dora all over again. Only with his sister. And she didn't have a best friend like Finley Avery to support her. No, she had a loving family. A devoted father and siblings who would be there every step of the way. If she had a girl, he supposed Dora would have tons of fancy clothes that Sera could have for the baby. But then he hated the thought of his sister needing hand-me-downs. "All right, all right," Sera said, giving her brother's a gentle nudge, hoping they'd let her go and they could break this somewhat awkward group hug, "I need to get back home." She said, figuring they didn't need to know about the due date or any other kind of information right now. This was enough for one day, if they had more questions then she was okay to answer them as best as she could, but she didn't expect Kit to want to know anything, she just expected him to spiral after she was gone and well out of earshot, and she expected Ollie to start looking for places to buy himself a 'Favourite Uncle' tee shirt, although not until after he used humour to deal with situation and Kit's freak out.
