PERSONALITY Boggart: Emptiness. Just a vast, black space. Nothing and no one in it. No sound. No smells. Nothing. And it goes on for eternity. Mirror of Erised: Herself, young, human, living the beautiful human life she thought she was headed for. Patronus: Jaguar - Mila cannot produce a patronus. If she could her happiest memories all stem from her time as a human, when she had her whole human life, and very human dreams in the palm of her hand. Mila is not a good friend. She's an exceptional family member, but not a good friend. She will turn her back on you, abandon you, forget about you, hurt you. She just doesn't care any more. She used to be sweet and caring, but after more than half a century as a vampire, she just doesn't have the energy to keep up with it any more. It's still in there, but it's hard to get it to show, you have to dig deep, and she doesn't want anyone to dig that deep. She likes to be mysterious, an enigma, and she does it well. You'll find that no matter how long you've known her, you don't actually know anything personal about her, save a few trivial details she's thrown your way now and then. To her family, she is incredible, she will die for them if necessary. Losing her human family hit her hard, they were her world, her whole heart, and the vampire family she has collected over the years mean everything to her now. She is a completely different person for them. Still strong, formidable, a little bit scary, but loving, warm, generous, caring. Mila is not interested in romance. She is the most romantic soul on the planet, but you will never discover that. She keeps that close to her heart, and you aren't getting in. That part of her is for one man only, and seeing as he is most likely dead, it's staying hidden. She will sleep with anyone who takes her fancy, though. Use 'em and lose 'em is her go to method. She's a minx, she's naughty, she's kinky, she will give you a wild night, but don't expect to ever see her again afterwards. She is in love with love, but can never let herself have it because of her obsession with her human lover. It's torturous, it's delicious, and you can just mind your own business. Enemies. Don't even bother. Just don't. She'll rip your head off before you can blink, and then get on with her day like you never existed. She is brutal, ruthless, heartless, and dangerous when it comes to her enemies. She can't be bothered with you, so the quicker she can dispose of you and move on, the better. Watch your back. As for minor fall-outs or arguments, you won't really get an argument out of her. She will keep her mouth shut, give you a death glare, and you will forever wonder why she's mad at you, or what you did wrong. She's not telling you. Fuck off. She had raven hair and the most captivating eyes that seemed to shift colour regularly, changing from green to gold, to brown, then grey. From her delicate features to her doll-like stature, she had everyone charmed from a young age. She would follow her mother around, helping with chores, and carrying goods in the village. People would comment on her beauty, and say how she would be a lovely match for their sons. Though pureblood, the Romanovs did not want to promise their daughter to anybody. She was too young, and their only child. She was too precious to them. There was the possibility of that changing when her little sister Katerina was born, but her parents honoured their views, and promised neither girl to anyone. Mila adored being a big sister. She was an imaginative child, always having her head in the clouds and her nose stuck in any books she could get her little hands on. Her papa taught her to read, and she taught her sister in turn. The girls would spend hours together, hiding under blankets in their shared room and telling each other wild stories. Katerina would get scared sometimes, Mila having a love of all things that went bump in the night, but Mila would always comfort her. There was nothing Mila wouldn't do for her baby sister, and the two were the best of friends growing up. Though magical, Mila and her sister were never sent to any of the larger magical schools. Instead they were taught in the village in a small classroom. The class was small, taught by one of the village elders who was more than competent in all forms of magic. Mila was fascinated by her studies, and excelled especially in all sorts of defensive magic and duelling. She was fierce for such a pretty little doll. Katerina was not so much. She had a softer soul, and preferred the gentler lessons, though Mila always helped her to keep up with the more physical elements by practising with her at home. They would duel out in the alley behind their small home until the sun set, and then Mila would disappear into a world of stories and dreams for the night. She always dreamed of marrying and having a family of her own, and though her parents had never arranged a husband for her, she half wished they would have at least tried. Maybe they would find her someone beautiful and strong who would make all of her romantic dreams a reality. She would have no luck finding someone on her own in such a small town. There weren't many people she didn't already know, and none of the boys her age caught her attention enough for her to want to pursue anything with them. She was nineteen when a stranger came to town and shook her world up. Dimitri Valerias. Tall, handsome, mysterious. He was everything she had imagined she might want in a husband, and she hadn't even met him yet. He seemed drawn to her, which she couldn't fathom at the time, she was just a quiet village girl, what did he see in her? He pursued her, courted her, romanced her, just the way she had imagined a man might one day. He was perfect. A little secretive, but she found that a thrill. She wanted to know more about him, and though it would be hard to get him to open up, she was excited to try. Mila Valerias. She couldn't get the name out of her head, or the smile off of her face. They had been seeing each other in secret for months, sneaking around and kissing in secret places. Her parents wouldn't have approved of her jumping in like that, and she was nervous to tell them. She liked him being just hers for now, and he felt the same. Their relationship was special, just for them. She'd never been happier. They planned to talk to her parents after six months of their courtship, and Mila kissed him goodbye in the alley behind her house. A lingering kiss that spoke of just how much he loved her, wanted her, adored her. He was well out of sight when the creature with the glowing eyes came at her. The alley seemed to shrink as he grabbed her by the throat, lifting Mila off of her feet. She struggled but could get no sound out. That was when she heard the scream from inside her house. Katerina. Her eyes wild with horror, Mila kicked wildly at the creature, and he slammed her up against the alley wall, baring yellowed fangs. Mila finally formed a scream of her own that pierced the night, but it was no good, his teeth sank deep into her neck, and as she felt the life drain from her the vampire dropped her. Something had thrown him across the alley. No, not something. Someone. Dimitri. He was there. She was on the floor, vision blurred, threatening to slip into unconsciousness, or worse. But she could see him. He growled low in his throat and leapt at her attacker, fighting him off with strength she had never seen in him before. He didn't see the second creature come from inside Mila's house, covered in the blood of her family. The splintered wood gripped in the second creature's hand pierced through Dimitri's heart and he growled louder this time, rearing back in agony. The creatures fled, and Dimitri dropped to the dirty alley floor. Mila summoned all of her strength and crawled to him. She flopped down at his side, feeling like the world was spinning, tears soaking her cheeks. He touched his wound with a shaking hand, touching a drop of his blood to her lips. "My love," he whispered. Mila was dead within seconds of his words. She woke in the dark, tucked behind pieces of broken wood in the alley. Someone had moved her. Dimitri was gone. He was gone. Dead. He had been staked through the heart, and now he was gone. It took her a while to notice that she, too, had died. Her memories drifted back to her as she sat there in the rain, shivering, starving. Starving. And the scent that wafted to her on the wind was impossible to ignore. Blood. Not fresh, but blood. She dragged herself to her feet, she was weak, confused as she entered her house. Her stomach led the way, and she made it all the way up the stairs before realising what she was walking in on. There, laying in their beds, were the bodies of her parents, torn to shreds. Next door, her sister was in much the same condition, and Mila screamed. She screamed until someone came. She cried until the bodies were taken away. She scrubbed the whole house clean, and then she sank her fangs into the neck of her neighbour when she stopped by to check on her. Her family and Dimitri gone, her whole life as she had known it destroyed, Mila fled the village. She spent years coming to terms with what she was. A vampire. They were real. She was real. Dimitri had been one, and over the years she did wonder whether he had died at all. She had never seen it, he had been alive when she had died, he could have survived somehow. It hurt to think that he might have left her like that, but she had been dead. Why would he have stayed? It became somewhat of an obsession of hers, along with many other things as the years ticked on. She was lonely, but eventually she found others to join her. She took a shine to the hopeless people, the ones who had no one, and she gave them a new life, turning them and making herself a somewhat hotch-potch family. She stayed in Russia for many centuries, though flitted here and there to see the rest of the world. But she always returned home. Lonely, though having a family of five vampire siblings now, she still thinks of Dimitri. She is a skilled witch, a deadly vampire, and had travelled the world a thousand times over, secretly searching for him, secretly driving herself insane. She is a little bit different from the innocent girl she used to be. Darkness did set in after a while, and she is rougher, tougher, colder than she once was, with the exception of her family. She hopes to one day find her true love again, but in the meantime, she is satisfied with her lot. OOC Play By: Kristin Kreuk Your Alias: Izzy Pronouns: Her/she. Age: Old enough to know better.
