Tell Me No Lies

Dorcas fought every urge she had to draw her wand and blast this arseholes face into a thousand pieces. A hand around her neck was nothing new and, to Dorcas, was no reason to panic. She was comfortable enough to look him dead in the eye as he spoke to her, his other followers may have been cowards that grovelled at his feet but she would not be one of those. He thought that he could intimidate her but Dorcas had grown up knowing her place and so she knew her worth to Voldemort. Could she be replaced? Absolutely. Right now? Not a chance. She had the edge for now but it was clear that Voldemort was the sort to cut off his nose to spite his face. Dorcas was curious as to what brought about such insecurity but she kept her mind focused on the destruction she'd seen at the house Dolphus had destroyed. Maintaining eye to eye contact with legilimens was risky but Dorcas was confident in her occlumency skills that if he perused her mind, that she could navigate his way through what she wanted only him to see. She'd been learning for years under Dumbledore and it was clearly for this precise reason.

Voldemort released her and Dorcas heard the door open. "As you wish, my lord." She attempted to placate Voldemort, although she'd have loved the chance to wind him up just a little. She was fairly certain it would be a fun fight, although she wasn't quite sure how it would end, but that was all part of the fun. Would she walk away, would he end up on his back, would there be a bed involved, or a funeral? It was all so unknowable but definitely fun to think about as she left, glancing over her shoulder once she was through the doorway, the door closing behind her. Dorcas headed back to her ridiculous home, stripped off and climbed back into bed, making sure to place her freezing cold feet right into the small of Roddy's back.
