PERSONALITY Boggart: Lord Voldemort Mirror of Erised: Many, many, many beautiful women all genuinely trying to win his affections. James, Remus and Sirius all proudly patting him on the back and telling him what a great bloke he is and how they’re proud to be his best friends. Patronus: Rat - Peter can’t produce a patronus, it’s something he really struggles with, but his fondest memory is being included with the Marauders, feeling part of a group, even if he's not as talented. Insecure and uncertain would be the way to go to describe our little Peter. In his family he was always a punching bag for his older, rougher brothers and when he was at school he realised he wasn't all that smart, but at least he found some friends there. Still it's not as though he trusts them, he has a gnawing self doubt that sometimes will cause a headache. The longer he thinks about it, the more intense the headache gets. He constantly has a niggling fear present in the back of his mind that someday, someone is going to find him out. It's his worst fear for he's heard that Lord Voldemort can looks into a persons soul and know them. What if he meets Peter and knows him in an instant and tells his friends? That's his biggest fear. Being a man of many fears has taught Peter one thing - how to lie. He's spent many, many years keeping his true self from his friends and he's determined to continue doing so. He feels as though he's in over his head with the Order but at the same time he calms himself by telling himself that Dumbledore wouldn't have asked him if he didn't show talent enough to handle it. Peter's never been good with girls. He's had so many crushes in his lifetime but he's certain he's not good enough for any of them. James and Sirius have often tried encouraging and pushing him to talk to girls - sometimes literally - and even Remus has made suggestions to try and help Peter out, but nothing's ever really helped. He's had a few girlfriends but those relationships have never lasted long. He knows those girls are only ever really interested in James and Sirius and getting to know his mates so the self doubt eventually becomes too much for him to handle and he breaks up with them, certain that no one could ever love him, not when he's got such amazing mates they could be hooking up with. There are plenty of people that Peter has pissed off over the years, Snivellus being one. He was always egging James and Sirius on, Sirius in particular because he seemed to enjoy it more and respond better. Peter's a very encouraging lad really. He's not likely to ever stand up to a bully, not unless he has his mates for backup. He's easily intimidated by other people but will get cocky if his friends are about. There really are two different sides of Peter. Timid little rodent and nippy little bugger. Timothy Augustus Pettigrew, 24, Gryffindor, half-blood. Partners: none Others: Emmeline Vance, 20, former Gryffindor, pureblood, he wishes that she would be his girlfriend Peter Augustus Pettigrew was born to two very loving, albeit competitive, parents. He had two older brothers that were quite close in age to one another and would often rough and tumble. As a toddler Peter had no real sense of danger and would often end up in tears when he wandered in and tried to join his brother’s little wrestling matches. Her wa s avery bright and curious little boy, although he was often pulled away from anything he found interesting. He was sat in a playpen for hours at a time to supposedly keep him safe so his brothers could rough house and his mother could get on with her day. Peter, being smaller than his brothers, spent most of his days in the playpen with his old battered toys, all hand-me-downs from his older brothers. When he was three he was allowed more freedom, if you could call it that. His mother set up the small lounge that they had to accommodate Peter through the day while his brother’s played in their joint bedroom. Peter always felt like he was missing out but he loved seeing his brothers at meal times and he would always get some time with them before bed. Peter loved his brothers very much. When Peter was five he was allowed to play with his brothers like a big boy. To this day he can still recall feeling very excited the first time his mum let him down from the sink after washing him up after breakfast to find that it was all opened up. His brothers soon joined him and the boys all played nicely with one another until Peter took something of one of theirs (he can’t remember which) and he was wrestled. He’d always thought it looked like fun, he’d always thought his brothers were having a whale of a time without him but it hurt, it hurt a lot. He wailed and he screamed but his mother just called for him to “pipe down in there.” Despite his sniffles and screams she only came to yell at the lot of them before she went back to baking and cleaning. Peter hated spending time with his brothers. For his seventh birthday he was given a set of hardback books, all set in the muggle world but surrounded by magic. He read the first of them and was in love with the world of Narnia but as with what always happened he did something to upset one of his brothers (he can’t remember what or who) and so they incinerated his much loved books. Peter was in tears. His brothers were ruthless and would tease him constantly about the amount he cried. His brothers were relentless when they fought with him and would leave him with little bruises from where they’d been punching and pinching. When his eldest brother, Michael, went to Hogwarts, Peter wasn’t at all sad to see him go. He thought it would mean more quiet time for him but that was not the case. His brother, Timothy, made sure that Peter wouldn’t forget what it was like having Michael around. The following year there was peace. Timothy was off to Hogwarts and it was just Peter and his mother most days. His father was a man of few words, and he never really interacted with his sons. Peter recalls his father commenting that his mother was making him “soft” but he had no idea what it was about. He just looked at his tummy and gave it a gentle poke. Sure enough it was soft but he had no clue what they were really talking about. A few years late and Peter, a round faced little lad with a tubby little belly, was off on his way to Hogwarts. He was sorted into Gryffindor but only just. He was a complete hatstall, sat there for over five minutes while the sorting hat debated which house to put him into. In the end it was really up to Gryffindor and Slytherin, although the idea of being different to his brothers and his father gave him the courage to pipe up and ask for Gryffindor. That was the first thing Peter had expressed to the hat on his preference for house and so the sorting hat hmm'ed a little longer and then agreed, Gryffindor. After being sorted, Peter hurried his little way on over to the Gryffindor table where he was welcomed with a round of applause that warms him to this day. As much as Peter loved and missed his mother, there was no denying that his Hogwarts days were some of his best. He felt he had truly found brothers in the likes or Jame sand Sirius, and he supposed Remus too, although he was a little strange in Peter's opinion. He'd never really come across anyone as calm and private so it was odd to Peter but he got used to it. Hogwarts really was more like a never ending sleepover for Peter. He'd get into disagreements from time to time, get picked on occasionally but mostly he enjoyed the thrill of picking on other kids, in particular Severus Snape because that could easily have been him, he could easily have been a Slytherin and with his meek and mild personality in those early days, his friends could easily have bullied him, which naturally made him feel as though if they knew the real him and saw through him then they'd pick on him too. Apart from his insecurities Peter did fairly averagely at school. He even learnt to become an animagus, something James and Sirius helped him out with a lot. It was difficult but he managed it, despite the many mishaps he had. His OWLs he got A's and E's and in his NEWTs he managed A's across everything. He graduated and went on to work in a business firm his dad worked at. Peter does a lot of paperwork although he's not entirely sure what it is that he does. He was recruited by Dumbledore to join the Order and hopes this awful war will just die soon, he's sick of feeling like he could be a victim at any second. OOC Play By: Michael Cera Your Alias: Coco!
