PERSONALITY Boggart: her boggart turns into her sister Victoria because she is always compared to her and told how much of a let down she is when her sister is balancing so many things and living up to the Wood name. Mirror of Erised: Dom’s mirror of erised is her happiness fulfilled. She is lesbian and fears the consequences for it and she feels outcast by the “good” members of society that scorn her. Her mirror is her being able to follow her happiness and standing with the woman she is meant to be with. Patronus: Dom’s patronus is a fox and she can conjure it with her memory of the pride her parents showed in her for completing school. The singular time they have shown pride in her abilities without comparing her to someone else. She has a hard time casting a patronus however, because of always feeling like someone is disappointed in her. Dom is a beautiful and smart girl who is entirely lovely. She loves people and loves to help others. She is undecided on where she stands with the budding war, because her own people, the side she would have gladly fought for, have often cast her away or shunned her because of her odd mannerisms and loving women. She wants to be herself and she will go with whatever side will allow her that, because Dom wants to be happy and she will do whatever it takes to achieve that happiness. She was sorted into Slytherin because she aspires to always do her best and won’t stop—no matter the cost, to realizing her dreams and making them a reality. She won’t back down. She also won’t look back if people get hurt in the cross fire because her goals are what motivate her forward. She has constantly dealt with her parents comparing her and setting standards for her based on their friends children and her siblings and thus it has driven a huge wedge. Her family was disappointed she was sorted into Slytherin when there hadn’t been a Slytherin in their family in many years. Dom always feels like she falls short. If there is someone out there that can make her dreams a reality, they will have her loyalty and support. From the time they were small, their parents pretty much pitted them up against each other. When they had a tutor coming for Victoria to learn piano, they started making Dom practice with Vic. When they saw Victoria's magic, they kept pushing Dom to show hers, when Vic was a natural at flying they put Dom on a broom and ridiculed her for falling off. It was a series of constantly making them compete with each other for attention and time. Vic and Dom never had the chance to be each others friends, for their parents drove a wedge between them. Vic was tired of her little sister always having to tag along and being forced to include her in everything she showed interest in and so Vic took it out on Dom. Dom in return would botch things up for Vic and never confided anything in her sister, not trusting her sister to care about it because she was just Vic's annoying little tag along. Things got so much better after Vic started at Hogwarts until... Dom was sorted into Slytherin and Vic was dubbed the "Gryffindor Princess" by everyone. Vic was everything. She was smart, secure in herself, beautiful, stable, fun, and she was good at everything. Dom however, she was the black sheep. She didn't like sports, she didn't like boys, she didn't like any of the things her sister did. At school events, it was like pulling teeth to get them together in the same room without serious consequences. Dom tried to keep her nose clean, work hard in school and win awards and achievements based on her intellect. She did. She was picked as prefect but never head girl. She was recognized and a few favorite professors even wrote home about her skills with healing and numbers. It didn't matter, she wasn't Vic and they wouldn't hear any of it. Dom was the girl who stayed at school alone until her younger brother and sister were in school near the end of her time at Hogwarts. Then, they stayed at school with her. Dom is close with her younger siblings, Lydia is the baby but doesn't act spoilt, she is one of the sweetest siblings. Mickey always makes her laugh. Dom in her seventh year made out with a girl when they snuck firewhiskey into the Slytherin common room and everyone just laughed it off, but it caused an awkward shift with many of the girls that Dom hung out with. At first Dom thought nothing of it, until one of the girls she thought was a friend called her a lesbo and dropped her. Dom knew her family would never accept her if her friends couldn't so she dated like six guys in a months time and got the title from the Slytherin mean girls "Slyther Slut" which they would write on her papers or use lipstick and smear it across the bathroom mirrors. Dom withdrew even further and put distance between herself and the girls, finishing out school with pride. Dom graduated from school, top of the class in a way, and she bounced from job to job, refusing to work at her parents shop. Her family has tried to insist Ministry or something else, but Dom is beginning to consider options elsewhere, such as in the Lestrange company or a cauldron shop. Dom has tried a few casual dates with men and women but nothing has ever gone further and she suppresses most of her hopes and dreams to avoid disappointment. Dom spent one whole Summer in America just for culture experience and she came back with more dreams and ambitions before, even though she keeps them close to the vest. She has been trying to reconnect with old friends since then and making new ones.
