PERSONALITY Boggart: his boggart would turn into the people of his employment jeering at him for his sexual orientation and casting him from his position Mirror of Erised: his mirror of erised is sitting outside in nature sketching the person he loves Patronus: snow leopard - when his little sister Violet told him he was going to be an Uncle. Alder is quite the man, he is brave and determined, a workaholic and a charitable man. He loves children and tends to devote his off time to helping at orphanages, doing building projects in disadvantaged countries, muggle and magical and ensuring that others have a chance at a decent and full life. He is distant with most people and tends to exude a professional aura, but if interested in someone his act drops and he shows the sides of himself that he usually hides, the silly and flirty sides. He worked hard his whole life to get where he is now, but still feels empty though he won't admit it. He works himself to death because he wants to be a part of someone's life, he misses his sister and his niece and nephew. They have been kept from him and it breaks his heart, he wishes he could have the family he once had. He is sensitive and protective and a jealous boyfriend and lover. He doesn't share easily. He is oldest sibling, the only sibling. His sister Violet is two and half years younger then him. They were both raised with the high society ideas. They were the best friends though, she was there for him even though he was the older sibling, because he had black out spells that his parents never investigated. He would pass out or have some heart pains and his parents never cared to listen, so Vi would sit with him and be his right hand lady when it came to making sure he was okay. He was sorted into Slytherin, making his parents proud, but he didn't hate muggles or muggleborns, and refused their ideals of trying to fit in with the outer tiers of death eaters. He only allowed them to push him so far. It was during a revel at the end of his school career, when he was seventeen and in the last weeks of school, that the revel took place, he was forced to sleep with a Pureblood woman and it was in that that he discovered he not only wanted absolutely nothing to do with further things like that the parties and the nasty things, but that he had absolutely no desire for women. When he came out, it destroyed his life as he knew it. His parents disowned him and while his sister tried to maintain contact and eventually shared the good news that she was expecting a child with the man she was married to, all contact soon died off and he no longer had anyone to rely on but himself. He worked hard, advancing quickly in the ministry career he chose, his sexuality not determining the way for him at all. On occasion he had a boyfriend, but those never lasted because he became incredibly wealthy and reclusive with that wealth, not because he was greedy, but because he had no place for that in his life. Now during the summers and the winters he spends time working somewhere to help people and buries himself in work.
