so call it what you want to @aden
- october, hyde park -
Isadora stretched her legs out, enjoying the warm sunshine while they had it. London in autumn usually meant rain for days and cold overcast. She leaned back against the bench, the sunshine warming her fair skin and blonde hair. She sipped her coffee and scanned the asphalt walkways waiting for Aden to show up. There were families in the park with their dogs and children. Couples picnicking on the grass, it was a beautiful day. She sipped her coffee and ran her fingers through her hair. She wanted to talk to Aden about how she felt about him. They had been spending so much time together with working on the cases and looking for clues into the Adkins murders. They had been spending so much time together, pouring over files, late nights, and a metric ton of ordered in food.
It was weird that during the whole time, she didn’t feel awkward. She didn’t feel like her feelings were going to explode out of her. She felt like they were already there. Like they were already in a relationship and part of each other’s lives in a romantic way. In the way she dreamed of and hoped for. Which is what made things harder. Delilah was heading back to England and she was going to return to her space as their third part.
She missed her best friend, it killed her to be away from the brunette, but she knew that she would lose a lot of the time that she had been spending with Aden. She took another sip from her coffee, on her third or fifth cup of the day. A genuine addict for the roasted bean magic. She took in a deep breath, knowing that she would have to talk to him before Delilah got back. She wanted to be with him, and she had to know if there was even a chance for it.
Her mind flashed back to that night when he told her about him looking into the files of his parents. When she said that she was his and he was hers. When they held hands and he promised to help him. When she promised him that she was going to be by his side and help keep him alive through all of this. It was still what she wanted and what she was dedicated to. Even if he didn’t return the feelings. She took in a few deep breaths, trying to steady her nerves while waiting for Aden to show up.
hope this is okay <3

Deviating from their usual take-out and file scour dates, Isadora asked Aden to meet her in the park today. He was glad she did, it would've been a shame if they had spent this day cooped up inside. A small smile danced on Aden's face as he walked the asphalt streets. He stopped for a hot chocolate on his way to meet Izzy - he wasn't one for the bitterness of coffee. According to the aurors he's worked with in the Ministry, he'll be getting over that real quick.
Not a block away from his hot chocolate stop, Aden had seen a small floral vendor set up outside. Oh, Izzy would like these... Aden mused as he picked up a small bunch of chrysanthemums. With a cordial nod, he paid and thanked the vendor for the flowers and went on his way. It took him another five minutes to meet Isadora at the bench she told him she’d be waiting at.
His smile brightened further as his eyes found Isadora waiting for him. The sight of her still caused his heart to quicken. Hopefully she didn’t get the wrong idea with the flowers. Aden was beginning to feel silly for picking them up, but it was too late now.
“Afternoon, Iz.” He greeted, settling into the open seat beside her. He bumped her knee with his and passed over the flowers. Aden’s face was slightly flushed as he did so. “Here, got some lovely flowers for you to not water.” He played off his nerves with light teasing. “Saw them on the way over here – thought you’d like ‘em.”
Aden exhaled and leaned back into the bench. Delilah was coming home soon. He would miss the time he and Izzy spent alone together, because he knew his sister would interject herself every chance she got.
“Ready to see Del? I’m sure you’re just about ready to get rid of me.” Aden laughed, looking at her out of the corner of his eye. Most of his humor was in self-deprecation – he only believed in about half of it. This was one of the times where he did. In his mind, Delilah was a much better (and more nurturing) friend than he could ever be. He knew he’d still see Izzy, but she was honestly probably much better off gallivanting around with Delilah than she was skulking around and investigating with Aden.

Isadora felt her breath hitch when she saw him. His dark clothes, his shaggy hair, she always thought that Aden looked like a monochromic picture caught in time. The take away cup in hand, and the bundle of beautiful flowers, she knew that she had to tell him. It was only fair that he knew. She was sure that he wouldn't want to be doing all of this cute stuff if he knew that it was slowly killing her. She set her cup down by her feet and watched him walk up towards where she was sitting. "Hey there, Adkins." She responded, trying to take in a few breaths to steady her nerves for this conversation.
When he handed her the flowers, she felt her heart skip again. "For me?" She asked taking them and giving them a smell. "They're beautiful, thank you." the conversation was going to suck. He was going to take the flowers back, get awkward and tell her that he didn't return the feelings and that he was sorry if he did something to lead her on. She had the imaginary conversation with him about a million times since she was seventeen. Every time she explained her feelings to him, in her imagination, he would reject her. He would cite Delilah, not returning the feelings, not wanting her in that way.
She knew that Delilah would be back soon, they would have to make room between them for the brunette between them. It was how it always was. Anytime Aden and Isadora would try to spend time alone at Hogwarts, Delilah would slide between them and be part of it. Isadora was sure that Delilah knew on some level that Isadora had feelings for Aden. She was sure that Delilah knew what she was harboring and was trying to protect Isadora from the embarrassment of Aden's rejection.
"Aden," She said, hearing the joke about himself. She sniffed the flowers and tried to gain the courage to tell him. He was someone who she wanted to be with. He was someone who she had cared about so deeply and so completely since she was seventeen. "I don't know if I'm ready for her to come back because I'm not quite ready to get rid of you."
She wanted to keep pouring over case files, eating cold noodles, drinking pots of coffee, she wanted to keep spending time with Aden. She just couldn't keep doing it with how she felt.
this is a little short, but here are some feels.

Aden teased, grinning. "Of course they're for you." The young auror-in-training was entirely oblivious of what was to come of this meeting. He thought it was just a prequel to another long night scouring over documents, and things of the like. Where Delilah could see the slightest emotional twitch in a person, Aden couldn't tell the nuances between infuriated and skipping in the park with puppies. To say the least, he was a little emotionally stupid sometimes.
He looked over the gorgeous blonde as she spoke. He adored how the sunlight hit her hair. With Delilah back, would they get moments like this again? Aden's brows furrowed as Isadora admitted she didn't want Delilah to come back. Maybe she felt the same way? But that was silly - Delilah and Isadora were best friends. Why wouldn't she want Delilah there?
”I mean, you know I’ll still be here, right? We're not swapping out who gets to abandon their responsibilities and run around the world.” He offered a soft, crooked smile. ”Can’t get rid of me that easy, Vance. I’ve got two friends; statistically I will be a loser if I didn’t have you.” Aden informed her, as if this was some known rule. The lanky man stretched out, splaying one arm across the back of the bench, and the other nursing his cup of hot chocolate.
”What’s up, Izzy? I’m not Delilah, I can’t do… Whatever it is she does.” He waved off-handedly. Even someone as emotionally dense as he was could tell that she wasn’t acting as she normally did. Aden could only tell that from two years of prolonged contact with her normal.”So you’ll have to tell me. That alright?” Aden’s eyes glistened in the bright sunlight, only illuminating the bright blue further. He hoped his expression conveyed one of trustworthiness. After everything that Isadora had been through for him, the least he could do was be there for her when she needed someone to talk to.

so call it what you want to @aden
- october, hyde park -
The words were burning her tongue, her throat, her stomach. It was a fire inside of her that she couldn't figure out what to do with. She kept replaying that night at his apartment when he told her about his investigation. Every night since then where they would fall asleep on his couch or on the bed in his spare room. Every second that she wanted to tell him about her feelings, every last time when she bit back her thoughts and choked on her feelings. "You ever tell me you want a nice bloke on your arm, and you know I'll support you." She shot back at him, and placed the flowers on her lap. She wanted to believe that he picked up the flowers because he cared for her too. That he saw them and thought that they were beautiful and thought of her. Chances were better that he just was being friendly. Aden was never one to pick up on cues when he was giving out signals to people.
The way his face scrunched up in confusion when she admitted that she wasn't looking forward to Delilah coming back came like a punch to the gut. It wasn't that she didn't miss Delly, and of course she would feel better knowing that her best friend was safe rather than off in some rural farm land or random city she had never heard of. "Don't look at me like that. I miss her as much as you do, I just-" She just wanted to continue having this time with without Delilah dragging her off to some club or beach.
She wanted to say something like, I don't want to be your friend, Adkins. I want to be your girlfriend. I want you to love me half as much as I love you. I want you to look at me like you know everything I'm thinking and I want you to be my person.". "You have two friends and one of them was in the womb with you. I think statistically you're a loser no matter what." She shot back with a smirk over her coffee cup. His arm on the back of the bench, the comfort between them, she loved it. "But you're my loser, so what can I say? I guess it makes two of us."
She took a deep breath, sipping her coffee to gain some courage. This would have been a moment for Delilah. She had this thing where she can see two people and know they would have been good together. She wished she had talked to her best friend about this, but her fear of Delilah becoming angry or hating the idea of them together kept her feelings to herself. "I-" She set the coffee cup back down by her feet and tried to think of the words. "I have feelings for you, Aden. I have for some time now and I need you to know that."
The words hung between them and she wished she could gobble them back up. She wasn't sure what in the world she was thinking. Why she would ever assume that she was someone he wanted to be with. He was working at the Ministry with these kick ass women, women who could kick down doors, and protect themselves. Isadora was a daily prophet intern, a mouse who liked to pretend that she could be a tiger in her field. "I just needed you to know that."
this is a little short, but here are some feels.

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbig"]The night's wind stirs up memories [attr="class","reasonsmall"]We were supposed to have ran away and yet here we are Alone, swaying lazily, You gaze at the moon And wish for salvation [attr="class","reasonbod"]"I have feelings for you, Aden. I have for some time now and I need you to know that."
The words were stuck on repeat in Aden’s head. Isadora. Had feelings. For him. Isadora Vance. Isadora Vance, the single most beautiful human being in existence had feelings for Aden Adkins, the single most idiotic human in existence.
Delilah’s parting words popped up in Aden’s head. Don’t you two get too comfortable while I’m gone! She knew. Delilah had known, and that witch hadn’t said a thing.
“What? You what!?” The dark haired young Auror stood up, knocking over his hot chocolate in the process. He was in full-on freak out mode. His shouting drew the attention of some near passersby. ”Oh Merlin’s big toe, what is going on.” He was mumbling to himself, while running his fingers through his dark hair. He was pacing now. At first, he was elated. Then, he was terrified. The split second thought ran through his head that this was some kind of joke. Aden quickly struck that thought out, because even though Isadora could be a downright savage, she wasn’t an asshole. So his mood then settled on speechless disbelief.
Some time now, she said. How long was some time now? How long had he totally not been picking up the signals? Had she been giving out signals? Oh dear, had he been giving out signals? Retroactive embarrassment brought a flush to his face. Of course he had, he brought her flowers today, who even does that? He spent several minutes pacing, wondering how many times he had done something like that without realizing the context of the situation. Would so many of his nervous moments been cut out if he had just confessed his feelings to her earlier? Aden scoffed, like he ever would’ve confessed his feelings like that.
Confess his feelings… It was then that Aden’s brain train circled back around to the current moment. Isadora Vance, the most gorgeous girl literally ever, had just confessed her feelings to Aden. And the only words he’s spoken since, were ones of loud disbelief. Alarmed, he looked back over to Izzy. She was clutching that coffee for dear life. Her golden hair perfectly framed her face. Aden couldn’t find words to properly convey what he was feeling. Story of his life. Aden walked over and squatted in front of Isadora. He took her hands in his own. He was reminded of that night nearly a year ago, where he took his hand in hers and all of this started. He remembered wanting to kiss her then, too.
Finally, he smiled up at her, shaking his head the whole time. ”You’re in serious trouble now – you’re never gonna get rid of me.” Without any further hesitation, he leaned forward and kissed the woman he had dreamed of kissing for years.

so call it what you want to @aden
- october, hyde park -
In all of the times she pictured telling Aden about her feelings, she pictured him laughing in her face. She pictured him walking away. She pictured a look of pity and a oh honey, no. from his sweet lips. She pictured him taking her hands and explaining that he liked her like a sister. That she was always going to be Delilah's best friend and nothing else could come from it. What she never pictured, was this.
She never thought that Aden could be so crass with her emotions. She never thought that Aden would literally jump away from her. That he would cause a scene in the middle of the park as a way of letting her know, letting all of the happy families and dogs in the park know that he had no interest in her. Hot chocolate spilled all over, making her flinch from the extreme reaction. That her telling him this stupid, stupid thing was so horrible to hear that he had to physically leave the space next to her.
All she could do was grip her coffee cup in her hands, hoping that he would just walk away. Hoping that he would save her some dignity and just walk away and let that be the end of the friendship. She could just be friends with Delilah, or even find a way to live without either Adkins. She could never ask one to be without the other, they meant too much to her for that.
The way he paced, the way he looked just so confused, and - She hated to think it - horrified at the idea that she had feelings for him. Feelings that she should have done a better job at suppressing. Feelings that she should have channeled into something else. A new relationship, a new hobby, anything. Anything that could have pushed the feelings down and kept them there. Hell, she should have gone down Delilah's route and just fucked someone. She kicked herself for not doing any of that, and instead she spent countless hours with that man. She curled up by his side on his couch and read over mountains of case files. She wore her pajamas and hummed while she made coffee in the morning. She got comfortable in his life. She fooled herself into believing that she had some part of his life other than his friend. She fooled herself for too long and it was too painful to think about going back.
When he stopped pacing and finally looked at her, she couldn't meet his gaze. His eyes too blue, his expression too much, she couldn't do it. She held her coffee cup and just waited for the words that her little fantasies always ended in I'm sorry Iz, but I don't feel the same way for you. She avoided his gaze and started to come up with a list of places she would rather be than the receiving end of his painful gaze. She thought about walking on hot coals, dinner with her parents, walking into the forbidden forest in the middle of a full moon. The list grew as long as the silence between them.
When he crouched, and took her hands, she was ready for it. She wanted him to just tell her that there was no chance and give her an opportunity to move on. To meet someone who wanted to be with her, who would smile and dance for joy at her feelings. She tried to avoid his gaze, but there was little choice when he was right there.
He was holding her hands, he was looking at her like he was at least going to let her down gently with his charming smile. Break her heart a little more gently than his previous actions let her believe. His words didn't make sense. What could he mean that she was never going to get rid of her when he was jumping away from her and practically running for dear life. "What do you-" her words were cut off by his lips on hers and broke every dam that kept back her emotions since he handed those flowers.
Her hands went to his cheeks, her heart was thunder in her ears. She returned the kiss like she thought about doing a million times in the last two years. She kissed Aden and unless this was some sick joke, she had every intention of doing it again.
these two kill me.

Aden took her coffee and set it to the side (he was aware that even if they were kissing, and head over heels for each other, he would still die if he spilt her coffee), and hefted her off the bench to spin her around. When he finally broke for air, he leaned his head back to fully take in her features. This woman – this beautiful woman, wanted to be with Aden.
”Sorry that I’ve been kind of an idiot.” He finally apologized, sheepishly. After reflecting, he realized he probably gave this poor woman a heart attack – he knew if she had responded the same way he did that he probably would’ve died of embarrassment. Aden was still holding her, not willing to let go, in case this was all a dream. He wanted to kiss her all over, but figured he should show some restraint here in the park.
“Isadora, I have adored you since the moment I had first laid eyes on you. I had been so scared to lose you, I never said anything.” Aden admitted. He was too embarrassed when he was younger, and as he grew older and they grew closer, he was too scared to lose her as a friend. Like they had said earlier – he only had two of them, and one came out of the womb with him. “I-I don’t even know how to say what I want to say. What do I want to say?” He asked, laughing. The dark-haired man’s brain was so scrambled that nothing was coming to mind. Just pure elation.

She felt like she was floating. She would read romance novels and watch movies and there was always a they were floating line that Isadora would roll her eyes at. Kissing Aden, her first kiss ever being with someone who she cared so much for. It was Aden's kiss that showed her what those books wrote about. It was Aden who she was supposed to be kissing all along and she never wanted to kiss anyone else. When he picked her up, she wrapped her legs around his waist and ran her fingers through his hair. This was her first kiss and damn, it was perfect. She held on tighter when he spun them around, and buried her face in his neck laughing when he broke the kiss and held her so tightly.
"You scared me, Aden. Thought you were going to tell me you didn't like me or something." She said into the crook of his neck, picking up to look at him. To feel like they were together in this space without the families, and the picnics, and the dogs. Right now it was just them and just their moment together. Nothing else was important and she just wanted to have his hands on her. She never got crushes in Hogwarts, knowing her classmates since they were children helped with that. Aden was the only one. She couldn't even picture anyone else by her side.
Isadora kissed him again, keeping it shorter and sweeter this time. "I came close to telling you last year." She admitted, running her fingers over his cheeks, through his hair, to the base of his neck, "I wanted to tell you just how much I care about you, but I chickened out and you had much more important things to show me." It was better now. She knew what he was working on, she knew his secrets. If they had told each other that night, who knows where they would be right now. Aden hiding his research. Isadora too in love to question him.
She smirked at him and ran her fingers up to his lips, "You want to keep kissing me, but probably not in a park?"

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbig"]The night's wind stirs up memories [attr="class","reasonsmall"]We were supposed to have ran away and yet here we are Alone, swaying lazily, You gaze at the moon And wish for salvation [attr="class","reasonbod"]”Okay, to be fair, you totally sprung this on me.” “Sprung” was maybe a bit dramatic. Anyone with eyes probably could’ve seen the tension between these two. Hell, anyone without eyes could’ve seen it – not that Aden knew this. ”I was not emotionally prepared to deal with this.” He laughed and leaned in to her touch. Aden didn’t want to be separated from her for even a moment.
When she confessed that she had wanted to tell him last year, Aden groaned and let his head fall back. A year. A whole year. To be fair, he knew what night she was talking about, and it was rather heavy… But still! He felt like an idiot for not realizing anything sooner.
All of the missed dates they had. The missed intimate moments. He was pondering over this when he realized… They didn’t really miss any of it. They were so close, they already had dates at least twice a week. Half the time they ended up falling asleep next to each other, even if it was in a mountain of papers. They already had everything – they had just lacked the title… And the snogging. They had been missing out on the snogging, for sure.
Finally, Aden put Isadora down, though he didn’t let go of his grip on her. He looked down into her beautiful eyes - pushing a strand of hair out of her face to see them better.
”Oh, absolutely, I want to wildly snog you right here, but, y’know, can’t scar the children.” Aden gave her his signature lopsided grin. However, it didn’t stop him from leaning down and stealing one more kiss from Izzy.
“I’m sorry for worrying you”

Isadora couldn’t believe she had been so wrong for so many years about this. That she would be rejected, dismissed, utterly humiliated by Aden when he felt the same way for her. ”I’ve had a crush on you since my seventh year. I really don’t feel like any of this was sprung on you.” There was a good chance that Delilah knew this whole time, and if she did, Isadora was going to have a long talk with the other witch. “Don’t blame how dense you can be on me. You’re just lucky I find it endearing.”
The times when she would fall asleep looking over files with him. When she would wake up with Aden right next to her, a shared blanket over them for warmth. When Aden would make them coffee in the morning and she would fry up some breakfast. Aden was the first kiss that she wanted to wait for, and the first man who she could genuinely see herself caring for. Aden was someone who was always going to be worth the wait for her.
She felt a little nervous at his declaration of wanting to snog her wildly, making a part of her wonder just how anti-social Aden truly was. She kissed him softly and was grateful when her feet were returned to the ground. “Wildly? That was my first kiss, so I don’t know how wildly I have in me.” She admitted with a grin. She knew what people sometimes thought about her, she was best friends with Delilah ‘free spirit and free love’ Adkins. Delilah would bring anyone home, and Isadora was the shy virgin who poured everything into her writing. Even her offer to continue kissing him not in the park was starting to feel fake. She enjoyed what they just did, she enjoyed how sweet and loving it was, but she also wasn't sure where her limits were. She never even had someone in her life long enough to push her limits before. She knew that even with everything she was feeling, Aden was the one.
Isadora squeezed his hands and felt any annoyance at him for making her wait what felt like an eternity melt away, “You’re lucky you’re cute, Adkins.” She looked at the spilled hot chocolate and spotted a nearby coffee shop. “Want to go grab another hot chocolate since your dramatic self knocked that one over?” A part of her wanted to see how wild Aden could be. She was curious to see how similar the Adkins children could be, but she was also nervous. She was nervous that Aden would have way more experience than her. She was nervous she wouldn't be any good at whatever it was he wanted to do. She was also nervous that they would dive too deep into this and burn out too quickly. She wanted to enjoy the sweetness before it got complicated.

Oh come on!” Aden groaned again. There was no way Delilah didn’t know, that witch was holding out on him. Though he was beginning to understand why she would never help him in the dating department. She could’ve at least dropped him a hint.
“You’re first kiss?!” He whispered loudly, eyes wide. Aden was becoming more and more prone to dramatic out breaks. Maybe he was just making up for the lack of drama Delilah provided. “Now I feel like I’ve robbed you of something, Merlin!” He complained. Aden had just become so swept up in the moment, he didn’t really stop to consider… Well, anything like that. Though, he wasn’t sure what he would’ve done if he had known this information beforehand. ”I’ll make it up to you. Drown you in coffee and affection. You’ve got a lot of time to make up for anyway.” He winked. Occasionally, when the stars aligned in just the right way, Aden could be what some might consider charming. Most of the time he was just a dumbass, but somehow Isadora managed to like that in him.
Aden took his hand in hers, picked up the flowers he had bought for her earlier. He felt the smile he was wearing would never leave his face. Honestly, he didn’t want it to.
“You know, I had plenty of reason to be dramatic!” Merlin, Delilah needed to restake her claim as the dramatic one in this dysfunctional family, he could not harbor the burden of being the both of them. Aden took pause, as he thought about their current situation. “If we go get hot chocolate… Would it officially be our first date?” A light pink color dusted Aden’s pale skin. His smile seemed a little more bashful than it did earlier. He wasn’t sure why that question, of everything that happened today, was the one that made his heart race the most.

Isadora shoved his shoulder, keeping it playful the way they’ve always been together. “Keep it up, Adkins, and that’ll be the last time you get to kiss me.” She warned, feeling embarrassment creep onto her cheeks when he realized that Aden had taken her first kiss when he kissed her.
“That’s it! No more kisses.” She said with a defiant pout. She had heard it plenty of times from various friends about how she had to go out there and meet someone. Looking back on it, she never heard that from Delilah. Her usually free loved friend was always supportive of her wanting to wait for the right time. She was going to hit Delilah as she realized quickly that it was because her best friend knew about her feelings for Aden and knew that he returned them. He wanted to keep making fun of her for waiting, then she was going to make him wait even longer.
She couldn’t even pretend to be mad at him. When he started to talk about showering her in coffee and affection, she couldn’t even be mad at him any longer. “What about you? Take more after Delly than I realized?” She asked, terrified of the answer. She knew that Delilah was open and loving to anyone who was available to her, but she didn’t see the same thing for Aden. She wasn’t sure how she was going to feel if there was a similar list of women who had known Aden the way that Delilah had a list.
Isadora laced her fingers with his and leaned against his tall frame. She couldn’t believe how good it felt to finally tell him about how she was feeling, and more than that, how good it felt to have him return the feelings. After all of the times when she told herself it would never be possible, she could finally call Aden her own. She knew they would have to eventually tell Delilah and hope that her best friend was as supportive as she thought she would be.
“Delilah is going to come back and take it back over. Two years without her dramatic butt and you just don’t know what to do with yourself.” She enjoyed his blush and stepped forward to give him a soft kiss, “Yeah, it would be out first date.” She wasn’t sure what they were exactly to each other, but she knew that she was going to care for him more than anyone else in her life.

[attr="class","reason"] [attr="class","reasonbg"] [attr="class","reasonbig"]The night's wind stirs up memories [attr="class","reasonsmall"]We were supposed to have ran away and yet here we are Alone, swaying lazily, You gaze at the moon And wish for salvation [attr="class","reasonbod"] Nothing had really changed between the two, and Aden had adored that. Even though they literally just confessed their feelings for each other, everything still felt so natural. The banter, the conversation, it was all fluid. And honestly, the banter is one of the things he loved about Isadora.
“What? No!” Aden complained. “We’ve just started; you can’t cut me off now!” Yes, he definitely needed Delilah to come back and be the dramatic one, this was far too much for him to handle. As they were walking, Aden fell behind and wrapped his arms around the front of Isadora. He rested his chin on the top of her head and continued walking behind her.
“Oh, Merlin no.” He snorted, waddling awkwardly behind her. Aden cringed just thinking about it. “Nah, so there was this one time in fourth year… Kissed a fifth year Hufflepuff, I think she was a friend of Lilah’s. It was kind of the worst thing ever – I think I was permanently scarred for life.” He snorted. Aden had tried (and failed miserably) to move on from Isadora. He did not try anything like that again.
Aden kissed Isadora’s temple. He was on Cloud 9 – nothing could bring him down from this joy. Never in a million years did he dream that this could come true.
“Y’now, there’s something you said that night last year that really stuck with me… You told me that I was yours. One, now that I know there was another meaning to it, I am elated. Two, I don’t think you have any idea how true that is. I’ve been yours, since the day I met you Isadora Vance. I’m sorry I waited so long to let you know… And that you had to let me know first, I think Delilah won’t let me live this down.”

so call it what you want to @aden
- october, hyde park -
She wasn't expecting Aden to become as affectionate as he was, she wasn't expecting how much he wanted to touch her and keep her close to himself. She placed her hands over his and walked with him awkwardly. He was adorable, sweet, and he clearly loved her in a way that she didn't think was possible. They way they could joke with each other. The way they stood by each other and helped each other through these difficult times, she couldn't believe how easy it all was.
"Guess you're going to have to make it up to me somehow." She teased and leaned back slightly to kiss his cheek. She was sure that Delilah was going to cheer for them, but probably try to keep their times together sacred. She felt a little bit better when he admitted that while he might have kissed someone in Hogwarts, he still had about as much experience as she did.
"Then I guess we both have time to make up for." She could remember all of the times when she would try to ask Lilah to fix her up with someone. All of the times when she asked her best friend if there was something wrong with her for not wanting anyone that way. She always expected the raven haired Hufflepuff to tell her that she was a freak, but she never did. She always said that there was someone who was perfect for her, and she would see it one day. She was going to kill her best friend for keeping this from her.
Isadora turned into his arms and kissed him softly, "I thought about telling you that night. When we laid down in the bed and looked over the files, it was so comfortable, I was about to and you fell asleep." She said with a laugh. "But this? Today? I couldn't have asked for anything more." Except maybe his hours-long-feeling freakout. She could have done without that, but all of this? Was everything she hoped for.
"You're amazing, Aden."
