Titus took a look at his watch. The hearing had been for far too long in his opinion. The filthy little mudblood was surrounded but people, such as Titus, that held views that opposed people like him. He was a mudblood, he came from muggle parents and yet Titus was forced to listen to him blabbering on, protesting his innocence and while it certainly seemed that the man was indeed innocent, Titus would be giving a guilty verdict, why? Because filth like this needed to be taken care of. The new Minister seemed to not want to be making any waves just yet but that didn't mean Titus wasn't ready and willing to do what had to be done in order to cleanse their world. It was starting to become common knowledge that if you were set before the Wizengamot and you were a muggleborn, then there was a good chance that you would not be returning. And there were reasons for that. The Dark Lord's take over was slow, it had to be in order for the public to accept it, and while that was happening they had to create disharmony, show to the witches and wizards that muggleborns were a danger, that they deserved to be locked up in Azkaban, their minds and bodies suffering the eternal torment of the Dementors.
Another half an hour later and the muggleborn was sentenced to five years in Azkaban. Titus was pleased with the outcome and was eager to start lunch. He went to a London restaurant with a colleague, never eating in the work cafeteria like some people often would and never eating alone unless he had things to do on his lunch hour. Today’s lunch had been rather dull, the conversation had fallen stagnant a few times and Titus blamed his company. Thankfully Titus was able to handle sitting in silence just fine but the gentleman whose company he had must have felt entirely embarrassed of himself. Arriving back at the Ministry the Atrium seemed to be busier than usual, people talking and trying to crowd around an area near the fountain. Titus held his head high, half to appear respectable, half to try and get a look at what was going on but it was no good, he was on the outskirts of it all and had no chance of finding out what the commotion was all about just yet.

True commitment requires sacrifice
Whomever decided that children’s events would take place in the middle of the work week were truly sadistic. King had spent much of the morning in trial, hearing the pathetic woes of a muggleborn wizard trying to claim innocence against his accused crimes, and then instead of having a relaxing break for lunch, King rushed off to catch the end of Giselle’s dance recital. The seven year old had been talking for weeks about her big performance, pleading with her father to ensure he would be there, and he had been.
Standing at the back of the room, his wife and youngest daughter sat in front of the auditorium, Kingston watched the awkward children move about the stage in their leotards and tights, slightly off-step from each other but clearly having memorized the moves. He’d conjured a bouquet of flowers the size of Gigi’s head and brought them to her after her performance. She was so pleased with herself and so excited that King had made it. Bridgette was sulking that she’d not gotten a turn on the stage and had to be reminded that her class would have their own performance soon enough. His girls were lovely but he had work to be getting back to and without having had any real food since a hasty breakfast early this morning, King was now feeling rather irritable. The crowd in the atrium at the Ministry did not better his mood.
“What’s all this, then?” Kingston spotted a familiar face on the edge of the crowd near him, and pushed through the small distance toward Titus Rowle, a colleague and member of the Wizengamot alongside Kingston. Rowle was a fair bit older than King, but he was a decent man and of a respectable family, definitely someone worthy of Kingston’s notice.

The fuss didn't seem to be dying down and while Titus usually didn't mind a bit of a distraction he wasn't really up for it now. The crowd was only getting bigger as people tried to leave for their lunch breaks but were blocked and others, like him, were attempting to return from their lunch breaks. The noises of whatever was going on could barely be heard over the outrage of the Ministry employees that were trying to get on their lunch breaks but it seemed that no one was being allowed beyond a certain point one way or another. Titus lifted his head, trying to get a look but it was of no use, there were too many people in the way to see what was happening so he looked about the crowd in search of a familiar face. He didn't fancy gossiping about the situation so he'd just settle with chatting with a face he knew.
It wasn't long before another body joined him. A quick glance and he was looking at a colleague from the Wizengamot. A bright young spark on the up and up. Titus had no desire to be Minister for Magic or Grand Chief Warlock, but if Kingston wanted either of those positions then Titus could see it happening - he'd certainly put in a good word for the man, he was a pleasure to work with and they seemed to be on the same page with a lot of cases. "James." He said in greeting, "Returning from your lunch break?" He enquired.
