Bear is the oldest of three boys born to Bunny and Ram Hart. He was the more laid-back of the trio, often found relaxing in the branch of a tree while his younger brothers ran amuck and got into trouble. His mum always joked that Bear had tricked them into having more children, being so calm and level-headed they were sure they’d have more just like him. What they got instead were hyper little lads but Bear was there to help wrangle them when they were younger and keep an eye on them as they got older. At Hogwarts Bear was sorted into Slytherin, though the Sorting Hat had contemplated putting him in Hufflepuff for a while. Either house would have been a fine choice but he was placed in Slytherin where his brothers would join him when they grew old enough. Bear was a decent student when he wasn’t distracted by pretty witches, and when he graduated Hogwarts he knew exactly what he wanted to do with his life. He took a job as a baker at a small bakery in Mystic Alley where he fell in love with an older witch who was working there at the time. Amalthea was gorgeous and he wasted no time in asking her out. The couple dated for some time and eventually married. Mal ended up leaving the bakery to pursue other careers (finally settling on psychiatry) but she always enjoyed Bears cooking and so after years of working to save enough money, Bear finally opened his own restaurant and named it after his wife.
