Gage was born just over a year after his big brother, and while the boys were close growing up there was also a jealousy in the younger Wolfe that never quite went away. Gage was always very competitive with his brother, insistent on proving that he was up to any challenge just as well as his big brother was, and frequently reminding his father that he would make a good alpha for their pack if Dash was not up to it. Gage never did anything to outright steal his brother’s favor, but competing for glory was fair game and Gage did so with fervor. Knowing that ultimately it would be Dash’s place to govern their pack, Gage focused on protecting his younger siblings as they came along, making sure they wanted for nothing and yet preparing them for everything. This sometimes meant scaring off potential suitors of his little sister’s if he felt them unworthy, or purposely hitting a bludger at his younger brother’s head to make sure he was always on guard for danger.

When Gage went off to Hogwarts, he followed his brother into Gryffindor House and his competitive nature took hold quickly. He started dating the same year his brother had his first girlfriend, tried out for the house quidditch team the very next year after his brother made the team, and begged his father to give him the bite when Dash got his though his father refused until he was of age. Growing up in an older brother’s shadow could have been hard for some boys, but for Gage it only fueled him to be his best.

When he turned 18, as promised, he became a werewolf. The first full moons were the most difficult and as strong as Gage was, his body was unprepared for the transition or the days following. Over time he grew accustomed to the change and began enjoying his time as a wolf just as much as he had always expected to. Gage has no plans to leave his pack, but money lies with the rest of the wizarding world and so Gage often works as a contractor, building structures for a hefty fee for those wizards and witches who can afford to pay, and helping out with whatever he can for those unable to afford him officially. With the death of their parents and Dash’s rise as Alpha of their pack, Gage is feeling a little more than lost, unsure what his role in the pack will be and secretly worried his brother isn’t ready for the pressures that have been thrust upon him.
