In the early hours of the morning a cry was heard in the Lovegood household. Their first child was born, a beautiful little human as bald as she was loud. She was mesmerising, but the Lovegoods didn't have time to sit around and enjoy their precious little bundle for it was time that Melody pushed again, gradually bringing their second born into the cold, cold world. Fauna, unlike her twin, was born with thick black hair that covered the top of her head. She had wide, blue eyes that took in everything she saw. She was quiet, even as she was laid on her mother's chest and wrapped in blankets, she was silent as a lamb.
Fauna grew up adoring her sister and copying everything she did. At no point in her life was Fauna ever jealous of her sister's ability, in fact she loved watching her sister change her face, her hair, and doing just about anything for a laugh. Gradually Fauna started being able to sense her sister's changes before they happened, soon after she was able to tell what her sister wanted to talk about or was about to say. Fauna became so intone with Sharla that sometimes she got a bit ahead of herself and would talk to Sharla without Sharla managing to get a word in edgewise.
It came to light when Fauna was five, that she was probably a natural Legillimens. At the age of five Xenophillius was born and Fauna was intone to his every need. She was like a baby-whisperer. While Sharla was off risking her neck, Fauna would cuddle Xenni and read him stories.
Fauna was close to her brother and her twin, she and Sharla headed off to Hogwarts. Fauna was sorted into Hufflepuff and then immediately after her was Sharla, who was also sorted into Hufflepuff. It was a huge relief for Fauna, she had this ability she couldn't always control and Sharla was the only one that got that. Often Sharla would talk on behalf of Fauna because Fauna would often look through peoples minds without intending too, on the bright side it did mean she was an excellent lie detector, and she could get all the gossip, but she tried not to spread anything around the school, it didn't feel right. Luckily Fauna had Sharla and their dormmates didn't mind that Fauna was a little odd and barely spoke compared to her incredibly outgoing sister.
After Hogwarts Fauna got a job in the ministry, working in the Atrium. She was called "intuitive" and "hard working" so it wasn't hard to get a different job within the Ministry after six months. A job in the Genealogy department. It was just a way of tracking families over several decades, many even centuries. Mainly Fauna was tasked with keeping family trees safe and organised (and there were a lot of them).Updates happened automatically, marriages were added, births were added, deaths were faded, people that were officially disowned by a parent were faded as though dead. It was a quiet job and Fauna loved it. Right up until Wilbur Dolohov became Minister. After that, Dumbledore approached Fauna and asked for her help. She gladly gave it, manipulating ministry copies of muggleborn family trees to hide muggleborn families as half-bloods, however she has a work cut out for her as the current administration has ordered her to destroy any proof of muggleborns having any kind of magical lineage.
