Jaquenetta, or Jaq as she prefers to go by, is a pretty kind individual although not a lot of people realise that. She's often off in a world of her own, daydreaming and wondering 'what if...'. It can be hard to hold her interest for long and people find it rude when she stops paying attention to them. The truth is, she's not trying to be rude, she just doesn't exactly have a long attention span for talking. Now give her a book or some music to read and she'll spend all day wrapped up in the world the words and notes before her paint. But talking? No thanks. Keep it brief and short. If you want to spend time with Jaq, expect a lot of it to be in silence. She gets on best with those she can just be around rather than have to talk to. She'll try and be nice to everyone, though. This has meant that romantically, life has been rather quiet. Admittedly being in a band gets her a lot of attention, but she's not the kind for one night stand or people wanting to be near here just because she's in a band with quite a bit of recognition. Any partners she has these days she's always left wondering if they like her for who she is or whether they're just using her to say they've dated her. At least being off in her own little world has meant she's not made many enemies. Sure people might think she's a bit rude but not to the point that they want bad things to happen to her.

The second born of two girls is our little Netta! Only don't ever actually call her that, she hates it. Jaq is what she prefers to go by and has done since she was little. She was never a particularly girly kind of girl, although her older sister Portia was, but she didn't mind a little dressing up from time to time. Still, make up and fashion didn't hold her interest the way that music did. It started young. From when she could pull herself up on the coffee table, Jaq would always bang away. By the time she was two she actually held some rhythm. Her father wasn't much into music, he was a business man with a logical mind, but her mother - ever the creative - could hear it and nurtured Jaq. For her second birthday her parents gifted her a small drum kit, from there on music became her life. She had various instruments by the time she was eight, but at ten she found she loved coming up with all kids of different rifts, tunes and melodies on the guitar. Gifted at many different forms of instruments, Jaq heavily favoured the guitar, picking it up first every time. She still retained a love for the drums, but she was a guitar girl at heart.

A few years after her sister had headed off to Hogwarts it was Jaq's turn. She was sorted into Ravenclaw much to everyone's surprise. She wasn't the academic sort. She wasn't exceptionally clever nor was she someone you associated with learning in the slightest. Lessons were hard but she found so much support in the house of the Eagle. Her peers really helped to lift her through some of the tough times in school but she came out the other side with some half-decent grades. Thankfully listening is another of her talents, although she needs information to be fed to her multiple times over before she 'gets' it.

Jaq had no real career perspectives upon leaving school. She managed to get a few jobs teaching piano and one teaching guitar, but beyond that she was struggling to be an adult. She still lived at home with her parents which she liked, but she did have a craving to do more. That was when Raph came to her with a proposal and she has never looked back.

The Hook has been a band that's been going for the last ten years although she's only been a part of it for the last four. She loves playing rhythm guitar for the band and enjoys being able to make a living just doing what she loves. She occasionally gets recognised in the streets and she's always as polite as can be, but she can't wait for the interactions to be over.
