PERSONALITY

Boggart: Being eaten alive by a dragon. The fear is always in the back of his mind when he's at work.
Mirror of Erised: He's karaoke king, riding on a dragon, singing his heart out while everyone cheers and tells him how amazing he is. He then flies off to his castle, where his other dragons are waiting, majestic as fuck.
Patronus: Welsh Green Dragon - Eric's happiest memory was the first time he saw a dragon egg hatching. He had been in charge of the mother all through the laying and incubating of her eggs, and seeing the first baby hatch was just magical. A real reward for months of hard work. Second to that memory would probably be karaoke night. He rocks those and has the time of his life. Exceptionally happy times every Friday night.

Eric is a ball of awesome. Honestly, he is a big kid at heart, and there's nothing he won't have a go at. He likes to laugh and have a good time as much as the next person, and he has an aura about him that kind of demands attention, whether he wants it or not. He does enjoy being the life of the party, and he has a decent sized ego on him, but he's so lovable and funny that it's very easy to forgive his cockier moments. He loves music, and is always found singing and dancing wherever he is. He sings to his dragons, and dances around the compounds. He rocks karaoke nights even if none of his friends could make it. He's just confident and fun-loving to the max.

He can be arrogant, and he has the most sarcastic tongue on him. He is competitive, and will argue all day about the silliest of things. Literally. He will waste hours going back and forth with you about whether that puddle is black or brown. He will argue til you give up and go home, and then the next time he sees you he'll be all "glad we cleared that up last time". Because he totally won the argument in his head. He's not afraid to tell people home truths, and if you're being a jerk, he will call you out on it and tell you to pack it in. He's a master of stating the obvious in the most sarcastic ways, and he takes great pleasure in a good pun.

He has to be sensible at work, though, and he takes his job very seriously. Eric has a huge heart, and he loves his dragons like they are kids. He'd take them home with him if they wouldn't burn the entire village down, but, ya know, the love is there. He's very nurturing and caring, and someone you'd trust to catch your baby if it fell from a great height. He'd just do it. Or so everyone would assume. That's the kind of confidence people tend to have in him. He'd give it a bloody good go, but it he managed it, you'd hear about it regularly for at least two years. He's a bragger.

Eric was born on a sunny spring day to very young parents Gaston and Flora Bell. He was their first child, and would be the eldest of many, though would be an only child for the first five years of his life. His brother Phillip was a learning curve for young Eric, though he didn't struggle too much to the adjustment. He would occasionally wind his baby brother up by holding his toys just out of reach to tease him, or stealing food off of his plate, but honestly, he was a good big brother, and if anyone even looked at his siblings in the wrong way, Eric would snap and give them a taste of his sharp and too honest tongue.

He became a big brother multiple times over the years, and by the time he was ready to go to Hogwarts, Eric was the eldest of three, having just Phillip and Elsa, though his mother was pregnant with Eugene when Eric went off for his first year of school. He was sorted into Hufflepuff, and was an absolute joy for the badgers. He brought the fun to the basement, and was very much a leader with friends. People liked him to be in charge for some reason, and he just tended to fall naturally into the role. He was well liked, and though he could be arrogant at times, and argumentative, he was also kind and would look out for others without even having to think about it.

He met Eugene during the school holidays, and made the most of the bonding time with his new baby brother. By his fifth year, Eric had joined the Quidditch team as a Keeper, and had another sibling, baby Ursula, waiting at home to meet him. Eric had gotten really into girls by this point, and discovered that they actually liked hearing about his baby siblings. It certainly earned him a good portion of the makeout sessions he had around the castle. He took a real shine to Care of Magical Creatures, and decided that he wanted to be a Dragonologist, finding the creatures fascinating and terrifying and just incredibly interesting.

He graduated when his mother was pregnant with the last of the Bell children, baby Megara, and spent just a couple of weeks babysitting before he was off across the world to train for his dream job. He went back home regularly, spending about six months training, then four months at home, then repeating. It took three years for him to complete his training, and by that point he was twenty one, and very eager to see more of the world. He loved his family, but the opportunities his new job afforded him were incredible. He spent three years living in Egypt, a further two years living in Romania, and had stints of working in England in between, as well as other locations around the world.

By the time he hit thirty, his siblings were all practically grown up, save for his youngest sisters, and they were settling down and having families, and he was missing out on it all. He wanted to be around his family more, to strengthen bonds and make new ones with in-laws or future nieces or nephews he might one day have. So he handed in his resignation in Bulgaria, and moved back to England at the age of thirty one. That was five years ago, and it took him all of six weeks to find a great job working in the Welsh Valleys with Welsh Green Dragons. He's worked at the compound for half a decade, and has formed strong bonds with the dragons there, just last year getting to see one of his females hatch her eggs for the first time. He adores his job, and gets to see his family as much as he wants, and he doesn't have to learn songs in foreign languages to be able to kill karaoke nights with his friends. It's a pretty good life.
