The shelves were stocked with the most delicious treats known to man. While Lily did love her magical treats, she also could never fault the muggle sweets that had been her childhood. There was nothing like a curly whirly or milky way in the magical world and there never would be. Still the novelty of a chocolate frog hopping or a ice mouse that would actually move and squeak was never going to be lost on Lily. Every time she came across such treats her inner child squealed with delight. Sweets were happiness. Chocolate was happiness. There were many other things in life that also brought happiness and Lily came to a stop, realising that one of those things was right in front of her, just a little but farther down the aisle. What in the heck was James doing? She knew he was off out and lying his pants off, but she'd thought he was off fighting for the Order! Why was he in Honeydukes buying all the delicious sweets!? Naturally her mind jumped to the awful conclusion that he was here on a date with another woman. She was convinced for a moment that he had a second family and he was here buying sweets for his other child. That bastard!
Lily's jaw clenched, her mouth pouted angrily and she frowned a deep frown, knowing that if Sirius were here he'd point out how deep her frown lines were looking but she didn't care. How dare her HUSBAND be here with another woman, a whole other family!
It took a second but Lily realised she was being absolutely ridiculous. James didn't have a second family. He didn't have the time! At what point since they'd graduated had he had time to juggle another woman, get her knocked up and then raise a kid, all behind her back? She was going crazy. She could feel the hormones affecting her brain and she knew how absurd her conclusion would have sounded but by Merlin's ticklish balls she was upset. "There had better be some chocolate frogs in there." She said, her voice raised more than usual, hiding her fears and doubts, as she walked towards her husband who had a surprising amount of shopping bags. He was certainly not out fighting which just made her sure he had a second family lurking in the aisles, gathering up all their sweets and chocolates, unaware that his wife was in the store too. Holy magic she felt like such a nut job!

The wizarding world was a mess. There was very little anyone could do about it individually but there was plenty that could be done as a collective, however things were never ideal, people feared for their lives, for the lives of their loved ones, and as such they hid themselves away rather than confront and fight those that would otherwise harm them. While Lily could understand a person’s desire to protect their loved ones and themselves, she could not sit by herself while the world went to hell, and yet that was exactly what she was doing. She sighed, her feet propped up on the coffee table (something she would often scold James, Sirius and Peter for doing) while she flipped restlessly through a magazine. The world was in turmoil. Life had become darker as loved ones and innocent people dropped like flies. Lily had been working full time for the Order of the Phoenix alongside her husband. James was well off enough that he was supporting Remus through this hard time too and Lily was grateful. It was becoming harder and harder to trust these days and Remus, what with his condition, had no other way of surviving.
Lily was bored. She’d plodded around the house for a few hours, dusting, sorting, cleaning. She’d changed the bed sheets, vacuumed the carpets, mopped the floor in the kitchen and she was now honestly bored out of her mind because although she had been working full time for the Order, she was now rendered completely useless. She had to be careful, she had to make sure that she was aware of her surroundings at all times and she had to look out not only for herself, but her unborn babe. She was about fifteen weeks pregnant but felt fine. She could barely tell. She had a slight bit of bloating but beyond that she couldn’t tell that she was pregnant. There was no tiredness, no morning sickness, nothing. All Lily had to tell her she was pregnant was a pregnancy test and a lack of period. Still she had to be careful - or so she’d been told, but the fiery red head was fast becoming restless and felt trapped with her own home, the home they’d only bought in December when it was decided that they had to lay low. Correction - she had to lay low. James was still out there, fighting and doing what should be done, but she had to be a mother, even though she didn’t really feel like one yet. The whole house-wife lifestyle didn’t really suit her much either and she couldn’t see it ever being the life for her.
Deciding it would be safe enough, Lily got her arse up off the sofa and slipped on her shoes. She pulled on a sweater and double checked she had her wand. She did. Once she was ready she stepped out the front door, closed it behind herself and headed down the beautiful garden path. Never had she imagined her life with actual money. Sure she’d not grown up in poverty but they’d not exactly been well off. Holidays had been few and far between and usually only to different parts of England and Wales but they’d been the best time of her life as a kid, back when she and Tuney still talked and got along with one another. Lily sighed. She’d been told by her mum that Tuney was also expecting. She was married to that large Vernon bloke and it was sad to think that Her child and Tuney’s child would be cousins yet there would be no strong connection between the two. Lily longed for her family to be whole but that ship had sailed long ago.
Coming to the village of Hogsmeade, which was a beautiful stroll away, even in the cold weather, Lily headed where she always headed first back when she’d had her Hogsmeade weekends when she’d been in Hogwarts - Honeydukes. With an untameable sweet-tooth Lily truly had no choice in the matter. She pushed the door open, the ding-a-ling ringing out over head and she grabbed a basket while the door closed behind her.

Order of the phoenix application Connection to the Order: Since her seventh year at Hogwarts, where she was Head Girl, Lily has been under the instruction of Albus Wulfric Percival Brian Dumbledore (have a longer name why not). He brought her in, along with a few others, to his secret organisation - The Order of the Phoenix. The head honcho himself invited her and really, you can't get more connected than that. In the metephorical sense that is. Her husband, best friend, his mates and a couple of other Gryffindors that Lily is close with came in at the same time and since joining, she's made connections with other people within the Order.
Useful Skills: While Lily isn't a Healer, she's very apt with that side of magic. She's learnt a few things through a few members of the Order that are/were Healers, but she mostly fights. She's great at dueling, quick and to the point.
Useful Affiliations: James' money? Does that count? No? Well then nothing. Just the Amazing Lily!
Why join the Order of the Phoenix? For years Lily has been aware of the existence of a dark magic movement. One that despises the likes of her. It stole her beast friend and it threatened her very existence. It was a threat not only to her but her family. She loves her parents very much, and even her sister. She started dating James in their seventh year and it was apparent that things in the magical world were becoming dire and so when she was approached to join the Order of the Phoenix, it was an obvious choice - yes. Lily works almost endlessly for the Order. She and her husband fight as much as they can and while that wasn't exactly what Lily had envisioned the day she found out she was a witch, it is a course in life that she feels is most suited to her right now. Her chivalry wouldn't let her be any other way, and even without the order, she'd still be fighting, although being pregnant does mean she has to give more consideration than ever before to what she does, because her choices, her actions, aren't just going to affect her any longer. She has another little life to think about.

PERSONALITY Boggart: Watching her loved ones die, in particular James - old. New - standing in a pool of blood with the fear that she's miscarrying.

Lily's loyal to the core, even after getting hurt she's willing to time and time again put her heart on the line for those she loves. Friends and family mean the absolute world to her and she'd do just about anything for them. She finds making friends pretty easy so long as someone's not a prejudice twit with a broom shoved so far up their arse they could polish it with their tongue. Oh, and she can occasionally be a little snappy. She has before, in the past, been referred to as a bit of a cow, but that's usually because she's defending a friend or loved one. She's quick to jump in and take the side of those she's loyal to regardless of what they've done, though sometimes enough is enough and she has to call it a day, no matter who it is, there's only so much grief and pain she can take from one human being, only so much forgiving she can do.
Not one to really be in to the whole 'dating' scene Lily only had a single boyfriend before she finally agreed to start dating James in their seventh year and even then that had been more of a pity boyfriend than someone she'd actually wanted to spend time with in any sort of romantic sense. Sometimes Lily can be too kind for her own good and has a compassionate streak that can leave her vulnerable.
On top of all that Lily is a whiz at learning. She picks up on new things like that *clicks fingers* Potions and Transfiguration were her passions in school and she was fantastic at Charms with the help of her swishy wand that was practically made for the subject, but she did do well across the board. She was a hard worker and found that the magical world was really a place of wonder, despite all it's downsides.
Not one for dishonesty Lily can occasionally be a bit blunt with her tongue. She has friends that understand what she means and they all know it comes from a kind place. She can be quite motherly and nurturing whenever she feels like someone needs it. Had the Order not needed her full time, and had she not had James to support them both, and Remus, financially, she would have become a healer.HISTORY

Lily was born to Dina and Colin Evans a couple of years after her older sister, Petunia. The family was a close knit and very loving. Lily always thought she had a marvellous childhood growing up and mostly - she did. She made friends easily while she was younger but at the same time she often pushed them away with her direct nature. All but one person seemed to run from her and that was her sister, Petunia. Petunia was quite simply Lily's best and closet friend. She shared everything with her but naturally Lily became weary when she started displaying unusual gifts. Petunia claimed it was all in Lily's head and insisted they go back to playing tea parties, being the younger sister Lily did just that.
At the age of nine Lily found a boy that lived locally watching her and her sister playing at a park. After a somewhat magical incident the boy came forward and spoke to the sisters. He claimed to know what Lily was and long story short, Lily wanted to punch him in the gut for calling her a witch and insulting her sister but at the same time his words rang true, however Lily was dragged back home by her older sister. Lily met with the boy again, she was grateful to him for teaching her the world he was privileged to be a part of. She was amazed by all he had to tell her, she spent her time with him playing games and finding out about all sorts of things in the magical world. What interested her most was Hogwarts, a school that Severus, her new friend, was certain she'd be receiving a letter to. Lily was hopeful however her sister found them one day, practicing their magic and she was not at all impressed, not even in the slightest. Cruel names were used and a solid friendship was cracked beyond repair. No matter how much Lily continued to reach out to her sister over the years, Petunia never reached back. She turned against her sister and that was that.
Lily's letter for Hogwarts came. Petunia called her a freak at any given opportunity but Dina and Colin were so proud of Lily and showered her with love and support, no doubt trying to show Petunia that a gifted sister was nothing to be a snob about, however Petunia never got the picture. Lily was upset to leave home for so long but she had Severus. On the train to Hogwarts they sat together. Once they arrived Lily was sorted first and she went straight to Gryffindor, joining a couple of other first years sat there. She watched and cheered as people were sorted in the same house as her. Severus' time came and he was sorted in to Slytherin. Lily's breath caught for a second as she watched her friend head to the table full of green and silver.
Lily was lucky, the people in her house seemed pretty nice. She got along with most of them but of course there were a few irritating boys that seemed more interested in pranks than school. Much to Lily's annoyance two of them actually got rather good grades and another, she discovered, was really quite lovely. She befriended Remus Lupin rather early on and found that he too had a love of learning, taking his education seriously, however his three friends all seemed to be more interested in being complete ratbags!
Hogwarts passed quickly but the outside world was a scary place. Lord Voldemort, or He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named, was gaining a lot of power and was having people killed left right and centre. Much to Lily's heartache Severus continued to side himself with people that agreed with the so called 'Dark Lord'. Despite reaching out to him time after time Lily was just let down. One on one she and Severus were brilliant friends but there came a point in their friendship where Severus took things too far and it became all too much for Lily to handle. She was done with him after their fifth year OWLs and there was nothing that he could do to make it up to her. She was a Prefect for Gryffindor and became Head Girl in her seventh year. She was roped in to the Slug Club but she didn't mind, Potions was something she loved and Professor Slughorn was one of her favourites.
During her seventh year, after a few years of the twerp James Potter irritating her and asking her for a date, she finally saw he was worthy enough for a chance. He'd become less pig-headed and actually seemed to be a rather decent human being when he wasn't being a complete prat. He'd become far less of a bully and Lily reluctantly realised that she actually quite liked his company. The grew closer, dated and once they'd graduated Hogwarts, James proposed. It came out of nowhere from Lily's perspective and blew her away. She was overjoyed and agreed immediately. The ring slipped over her finger, a stunning emerald stone at the centre to match her eyes. It was absolute perfection.
She and James, along with a few good friends, all joined up with the Order as soon as Dumbledore would allow in Hogwarts. Lily had wanted to follow a path of becoming a healer but she knew her talents would do well in the Order. They were needed and James was able to support them. The two moved into a flat in London, with a spare room for any one of their friends to crash if they ever needed to. The world was frightful and they were doing all they could to prevent things form getting worse.
With the world in turmoil, Lily and James married on the eighth of July, right out of Hogwarts. They saw first hand how fierce the world had become, how deadly and scary, and neither could bear the thought of dying not married to the other. James had proposed at graduation, and Lily had accepted. A week later, after fighting for the order twice and defying Lord Voldemort, they got married. Life was chaos and Lily knew that they were targets. She had to marry the man she loved.
Come October, 1979, Lilybecame pregnant. Her first signs were feeling queasy and uneasy, but she realised why mid-December - she was pregnant! Being busy fighting she's not had time to focus on herself as much as she should, nor as much as her friends want her to, and she and James have defied Lord Voldemort yet again.
