Doc scoffed as Freya claimed she was having a girl. Year right, how would she even know? Could people even tell before a baby was born? Doc wasn't really sure but he kind of regretted that scoff a little, still he wouldn't apologise or take it back, he decided to just go with it, "Gabriel can be a girls name, y'know." He scoffed again, playfully this time. Gabriel, as far as he was aware, was not a girls name. Anywhere. Gabrielle was a nice girls names but Gabriel? Not so much. Besides, even if Gabriel wasn't a girls name anywhere else in the world, the Fawley-Ollivander clan could be the first to make it so, start a cute little trend. It was a nice enough name so why limit it to just boys?
"Mhmm." Doc nodded his head, enjoying Freya's baking without shame. He was even almost done with the early morning treat, munching away and enjoying the sweet taste of the sugared apples that left enough of the tartness still to make it an excellent dish, "This is almost exactly like my mum used to make." He said offhandedly for a moment before turning back to the conversation they were having, "They're very dangerous, these somethings." He stated, totally bullshitting as she well knew. "Ghastly creatures, you best watch out." Or what? Nothing would happen? Oh no!
Freya grumbled a little about paperwork and Doc put down the empty container, finishing off his last mouthful. He'd really gone to town on that bad boy. "Aw Frey, I'm sorry." He empathised. He knew that they both knew it was probably for the best, she didn't want to go risking her little baby's life along with her own right now, but paper work was kind of boring and dull and every other synonym one could possibly thing of. "Have they at least given you something interesting to be working on?" He asked curiously though he doubted it, it was paperwork after all.

Muffins. Suuuure. Doc wasn't buying that for a second but he wasn't going to put his foot in his mouth again! He didn't want an arse whooping from Freya and Gabe all in the same day! She was glowing, her skin and hair looked healthy - he could have gone with that but no, he went with tubster. Well not quite that offensive but it may as well have been. He needed to think before he spoke sometimes, although in fairness he'd not expected to see Freya this morning nor had he expected her bump to come around the corner half an hour before she did! Okay, if he didn't stop thinking like that then he was going to balls up this conversation again and that would definitely get him a smack across the back of his head. "A sweet little muffin baby. Twin for Gabriel Junior." That was a strange little notion! A baby made entirely of muffins was a funny little thought and quite cute. It would poop blueberries. Possibly a little far in his thought process, he decided.
Doc loved Freya's baking. He'd had plenty of it over the years but never enough. Ever ever! It was amazing. If he ever settled down with someone then he hoped they enjoyed cooking. He wasn't a bad cook but only because he had to cook for himself, he preferred someone to cook for him, but knowing his luck he'd probably find his soul mate in someone that hated cooking and he'd end up cooking. He'd be fine with that, for the right person. He was sure there was someone out there for him somewhere in the world but he wasn't looking right now. He was more than happy with the single life, it suited him very well and gave him time to do all the things he loved a swell as work and working for the Order.
Sliding the container towards himself a little more, Doc opened it up and started digging in. Apple pie probably wasn't the ideal second breakfast but it was a special treat that he'd work off later. He'd try and hit the gym at some point because staying in shape was important to Doc, but if he couldn't find the time then he'd probably burn the extra calories off at home, looking after the animals and going for a jog. "Nah," He said through a mouthful of crumble. He chewed it up and swallowed it, savouring the tart taste of the apples that were perfectly countered with sweetness of sugar and ... was that a pinch of salt too? It certainly tasted like it. Pastry was always better with a decent pinch of salt in it. "Beast division, chasing a -" Doc had forgotten, he looked down a his paper work and then started moving bits out of the way, not being able to find what he was looking for, "A something." He said, giving up after very short work. He didn't need to put too much effort into finding it because he's probably tell Freya all about it the next time they had a proper catch up, and besides, the story was probably already starting to do its rounds at the ministry and she'd hear soon enough.

Doc was smart enough not to mention a sodding thing about Johnny to Flo. He didn't fancy having his head bitten off by her. She wasn't exactly the brightest of people so she was more than willing to fling a mean right hook, and with her chubby hands it wasn't as well cushioned as one might hope. Doc knew that for a fact having been on the receiving end of one of her punches before. Funny thing was, she always forgot how you pissed her off when she was after more money. Well everyone but Johnny, there seemed no way that she'd ever not be pissed at her, even if he made it rain diamonds and rubies for her.
Doc burst out laughing as Johnny claimed that he hadn't killed Dobson's cat. Doc knew that. Everyone knew that. Hell, even Dobson knew that! The bloke was just heartbroken and taking it out on Johnny. He'd come around someday but for the moment he was being stubborn. Doc had expected it to only take a couple of months but they were a few years into the grudge now and while it may have seemed to most that Dobson wasn't going to give in, Doc held out hope. "Of course he did! He never misses an opportunity to complain about "that god-awful vet and his back alley ways", you know that." Doc laughed and then took a mouthful of his drink, nearly finishing it off, "He'll come 'round," Doc said reassuringly, although he'd been saying that for a couple of years and he was certain beyond a doubt that those words had lost all meaning to Johnny now. "Don't dwell on it though, everyone's told him he's being a twat." And he was, Johnny was a top notch vet, even when he was going through his training. He was a brilliant healer for animals and Doc wouldn't have anyone else looking at his animals.

As bad as everything was for people around the Ministry, they were worse for people like Doc. The muggleborns of the wizarding world could really feel the shift that was occurring. It was slow but it was happening and someday soon they would all know that it had certainly happened. They would know because it would be the day the fullbloods would come for them, the lesser bloods. There was little comfort for Doc these days. Lunete was training to be an Auror and while he'd always thought it too dangerous for her, he was now glad she had the training she had. Humbert was a brilliant bloke and good friend to Doc. He was a spectacular Auror and if there was anyone to train his baby sister, he was glad it was Dorian and a team that Dorian had put together. Still she was not safe. When things changed - and they would - she, too, would be targeted. If that were to happen then he hoped that Dorian would stand his ground as a good man and prevent any harm from coming to Lunete, despite any law that might require an altogether different approach. It was a shame Dorian couldn't have slapped his dickhead brother and prevented the twat from ever laying a hand on his baby sister.
Doc carried on around the ministry, more and more people openly looking down on him for his bloodstatus but he never allowed it to bother him and he never let anyone know that it was a problem to him, though he damn sure made them know that he knew how they were thinking. He would stand tall, puff his chest out on an in breath while staring them down. The lesser beings that were simply following the new trend of disliking muggleborns would often back down, people from older pureblooded families tend not to. They held their heads high with a hint of a smug smirk visible. He knew how they were thinking and the smug bastards would look away, feeling they were better. Doc was going to shock them when he fought back.
Snapped from his thoughts while writing up his latest report he found he could smell a most delicious aroma. He looked about before retunring to his writing. "Driver crashed into utility pole, causing the phones and electricity along its lines ..." Doc mumbled off, continuing to write before his neck almost snapped when he looked up to a huge, six months pregnant Freya. Merlin she was getting bloody huge! He wasn't going to say that out loud, but she was! "Bloody hell, you've popped!" Damnit, Doc! You had one job - don't mention her size! He scolded himself mentally as she got herself comfy and he eyed up the pie she'd brought with her. "Morning, I mean." He cleared his throat, "Blimey, smells amazing." He said, "Bake it yourself?" Yeah, smooth. He'd totally saved himself on that one, she was going to ignore that he'd basically called her fat and her husband-to-be would not kick his arse for it!

Done with paying for his new book, Doc walked with Johnny to the Three Broomsticks. It was an all too familiar place for pretty much everyone in the British wizarding world. All those that went to Hogwarts and down to Hogsmeade on their weekends, knew of the friendly pub, and Hogsmeade, as the largest all wizarding settlement in the UK, had plenty of residents that would frequent the pub. The one thing the Three Broomsticks was never short on was patrons, and with that came stories. If only the walls of the Broomsticks could talk! Then again, Doc was probably fortunate that they couldn’t. He could remember vividly enough being slapped by Iris Bloomsbury over near the ladies toilets after he drunkenly picked the wrong door. It had been an honest mistake but as he’d opened the door to the ladies, just as she was coming out, he stumbled and to catch himself he just so happened to lay his hand on her dress, right in the region of her bosom. Honestly, he could understand the slap, but it had been an accident. Why she continued to scowl at him every time she saw him now just seemed like overkill. It was an accident! An honest to Merlin mistake. He had no idea she had it in her to be such a psycho about the whole ordeal, although if tales of her relationship with Jamie Schpangle were anything to go on, he was lucky to get away with just a slap! Poor old Jamie only mentioned that Helen Glungly looked less tired than usual and Iris practically tore him a new one! There had been hexes involved, swearing, a bunch of insecure ramblings. Honestly, Doc felt sorry for the bloke, and usually he liked to just keep his opinions and thoughts well out of other people’s relationships, those kinds of thoughts, especially if said aloud, could only ever backfire.
Once settled in at the pub, relaxed and taking it easy in the warmer weather, they enjoyed their drinks, chatting away with ease. It was rare to catch up with friends these days and in this kind of climate, but Doc had nothing to rush off for, nothing that beat hanging out with an old friend anyway. “Flo?” Doc sighed, leaning back in his chair, not sure what he could really say about Flo, “I’m not really sure, if truth be told,” Now Flo was a complexity he could do without in his life but she was a constant, there was that to be said about her, “Leant her thirty galleons the other week. I’ve stopped asking what it’s for, there’s always some new excuse,” He sighed, not even beginning to know what to do about Flo but the situation would sort itself out over time, given she made the right choices - something she seemed allergic to up until recently. “Sorry - "Reasons" - she’d kill me if she thought I was telling you of all people that she was making up excuses. You know how she feels about you.” Doc chuckled and then indulged himself in his butterbeer a little, drinking and having a laugh with Johnny was definitely the highlight of his week this week and he wasn't expecting anything to top it, "Speaking of Flo, though, you'll never guess who I saw a couple days ago - Dordon Dobson!" Doc's bro was so high it nearly met his hairline. He took a mouthful of his butterbeer, knowing that name would illicit a reaction from Johnny that he did not want to miss out on.

Billy wasn't exactly a great bloke but even Doc had to admit he was surprised when he got his bloody boot back. Or more accurately his pissing boot. Or even shitting boot. Needless to say he threw them out. There was no way he was keeping something Billy had pissed in. The pig shit he could probably have handled but the piss? Uh-uh. That was too much for Doc to handle and he wasn't going to pay any money to get them professionally cleaned so they'd been binned. Well and truly gotten rid of because who the hell would try and save shoes that far gone? Not him.
Just the mention of 'pig' brought up a whole other conversation and the second that Johnny changed it, Doc knew what he was going to bring up. He felt embarrassed all over again. His stomach tied in knots while Johnny started doubling over in laughter. Doc smiled nervously, waiting for Johnny to get to it ... and there it was. Mention of that bloody woman from shopping last year. All he'd wanted was a sodding tree and there she was, trying to cop a feel! What the heck!? Doc had never been so uncomfortable in his life, pushing away hands that were heading precisely where he didn't want them heading. Johnny had certainly saved him but he was happy to try and move on from that memory and the disturbed patrons of the book shop got them on to a new topic, "Just a little." He chuckled. It was common for the two of them to get loud and rowdy together, especially when Doc had his brothers around too. Johnny was an only child but it didn't matter. When Johnny was around Doc and his brothers treated him like one of the family! "Come on, let me buy you a drink. Unless you've got somewhere better to be?" Doc headed to the front of the store to pay for his one book, his mind on that damn pig woman from Christmas. Merlin's beard he was willing to pay all the gold in his bank account to forget about that incident! Doc would have indulged in a few more books but running into Johnny was the perfect chance for a catch up, even if his mate had to run off elsewhere.

Bizarre was perhaps an understatement. His mate Freddy had woken up spooning a pig. It was certainly an evening full of regret for some but Doc was bloody glad he'd not done anything to humiliate himself beyond convincing people to drink pints out of his boot! And the hooking up with one Franny McSniddle who wasn't exactly Doc's type and had quite the honker on her, but she was a nice lass and there was no harm in a bit of drunken snogging and perhaps a little fondling. Or a lot. It was a good night, mostly, well worth remembering and Doc enjoyed having those memories with Johnny. This was the first time since Trissy died that he was actually enjoying himself. Sure he laughed and joked about with others but it just wasn't the same. Johnny really had a way of getting Doc out of his shell, even if Doc didn't have much of a shell to begin with.
At the mention of his boot, Doc too cracked up and straightened his face before they got kicked out of the shop, he wasn't sure why they were so serious here, it wasn't as if they were in a library! Still he was nothing if not respectful and so he tried his hardest to keep his voice to an appropriate level, despite his obvious excitement, reminiscing about the night of the brewery."Oh man! No! Well I did, but I had to throw it out anyway!" he said, which of course required an explanation, "Once I got it back it had it was wet, y'know, I kind of expected it after all the beers everyone had out of it," As if that wasn't crazy enough, the tale did go on, "But it turned out it was covered in piss. He'd only lost his way to the toilet in the night and decided to use the boot!" It was disgusting, and old Billy Binks, who really wasn't that old, had just handed it back like there was nothing the matter with it, "And upon further inspection what did I find? That pig Freddy Spatz had been slow dancing with all night and shit in it! How does a pig even aim that kind of thing!?" Doc cracked up again. He knew they'd be kicked out at this rate but honestly, it was completely worth it!

Looking well was at least something, Doc supposed. Things could have been worse, or maybe Johnny was just being kind. Doc thought he looked alright, he'd been making sure he ate three meals a day, even on the days where he felt like eating nothing at all. He was strict with himself, he was pushing forward and he continued to do so no matter what he was feeling in of himself. He had to carry on, he had to hold up the family. Their father had lost his wife and now his son. Life wasn't fair to him. Lunete had lost her mother and her brother. Life was cruel. Doc and his remaining brothers had lost their mother too and their best friend. They could all rely on one another though, they could all keep each other strong. When one was having a down day, all they had to do was reach out to any of the others and the family would rally around them. It was what family did. They had to be there for one another, especially dad and Lunete.
"Man, if it ever happens again and you save her life I'll buy you a bloody brewery!" He laughed, "But not that bloody one in Coventry, right!?" He laughed - hard, recalling the incident that had taken place at the old bricked up building where a make shift brewery had been set up for a party. Merlin's bollocks everyone had been drunk but hey, what did people expect to happen when you literally were having a piss up in a brewery!? That sure as hell wasn't a night Doc was ever going to forget and without a doubt Doc knew that everyone that had been there would have some memory of the so called "Episode". Even those that had blacked out for a decent portion of the night still remembered parts of the "Episode" that had occurred and Doc wouldn't have had it any other way! It was certainly a bonding moment for everyone there and Doc could honestly say that he was still friends with everyone that had been there. Damn it had been one amazing night!

"Oh man," He said with a heavy sigh. It was a tough question to answer because really, how was he doing? Physically he was fine, he'd lost a little weight from all the stress but he still had a full head of hair! So that wasn't a good answer. Mentally he was a bit of a wreck. He was even more protective of his loved ones than he'd already been. He was splitting his time between his place and his dad's and it was tough. He now got why Lunete had stayed home after their mother had died and he felt a little guilty that he hadn't made more of an effort to visit their dad. Was it ridiculous to move back home for a while? Yeah. Yeah, definitely. His dad was a tough cookie. He'd get through this. At least Caradoc had to keep telling himself that. He also had to encourage Lunete to fly free from the family home. He thought she was safe there but it seemed that she probably wasn't. As much as he loved his dad, and he knew the man would do anything for his children, he couldn't protect Lunete from Death Eaters and Lunete would only get herself caught up protecting their father. Neither Doc nor his father would want that no matter how much training Netty got as an auror. "That's a tough one." He chuckled.
The idea of Johnny shoulder deep up Midnight's arse was hilarious. Naturally Doc was distraught that his horse was so unwell but Johnny had come over the second Doc had needed him and sorted the problem out for her. It was not a glamorous job that he had but he made one heck of a difference. "She's well. Not long after you left I spoke to the lady I got her from, apparently her brother died of the same thing, the owner hadn't noticed he hadn't been in while and yeah," Doc trailed off with a sigh, "Swapped the food out like you recommended though, just in case and she's been fine ever since. No more issues besides her stubbornness." Her grinned. On the whole Midnight was wonderful, she was a fantastic horse but she could be as stubborn as a mule when the fancy took her. "Fingers crossed you don't have to reach back up there ever again." He chuckled but honestly, the sight of Johnny having to stand on a step and reach into his giant horse's arse was pretty funny, but Doc was pleased his horse was well now. Things could have gone pear shaped rather quickly but Johnny had stepped in and save his horses life. Doc had a moment after Johnny had left where he'd contemplated the worst case scenario and honestly, it brought him to tears thinking about losing Midnight. It was just another thing that he owed Johnny for.

London was busy. Far busier than Caradoc was willing to face and yet he and Lunete were in need of a few things. The premature death of Tristan had shocked them all and there was no telling who it had hit the hardest. Caradoc had lost his closest friend, their dad had lost his son, and Lunete had lost another family member. Caradoc knew that his sister was stronger than he liked to think but it was hard to think of her as anything but fragile right now. She wanted to move forward, carry on with life. She'd said that Tristan wouldn't want his death to hold her back from doing what she wanted in life - and she was right, he wouldn't have wanted that, but Caradoc wanted to keep her safe. He'd even tried gently trying to persuade her to try for Quidditch again, to follow her original dream, but she was having none of it. She was stubborn at the best of times.
Offering to go out for her Caradoc decided to come to Hogsmeade. Lunete was in need of a few supplies for her job and Caradoc didn't like the idea of his sister being in Hogsmeade. They'd just lost a brother and Hogsmeade was where they'd lost Paris. Not they as the Dearborn family but 'they' as the Order family. The idea of losing Lunete in Hogsmeade was all too real and painful. There were plenty of other locations to go shopping but honestly, they were just all too busy. Caradoc felt much more comfortable in Hogsmeade, trying to keep his sister safe from harm by doing menial tasks to help her out, even though he knew he couldn't keep it up, because she simply wouldn't let him.
Entering Tomes and Scrolls Caradoc took off to his favourite shelves first, looking as he always did at anything and everything Historical. While he had hated History of Magic lessons, he'd actually loved the subject itself. Learning about magic, about the battles, about witches and wizards that had made the world what it was just inspired him. He picked out a book, just the one and then made his way around the shop, just browsing before he spotted a familiar sight. Johnny Townsend. It had been too long since he'd spoken with him. He'd seen Johnny at Trissy's funeral but they'd missed the opportunity to talk and it wouldn't have done him any good, Johnny would only have brought him to tears, and possibly vice verse. "Johnny?" He said softly, "Johnny." He said again, walking forward at a quick pace, reaching the young man and practically throwing his arms around him, patting him heavily on the back with his free hand.

tenth of september, 1947 - 31 cedar, unicorn hair, 9 3/4" |
PERSONALITY Boggart: Seeing himself dead in a pool of blood and how badly it effects his remaining family members. Mirror of Erised: Settled down in the country somewhere with a small hobby farm, a wife, three children and the rest of his family surrounding him, smiling, waving and happy - even his mum and Tristan. Patronus: Swan - Teaching Trissy to walk and talk, teaching him to clap and hold things. Every little memory of young Trissy.
Caradoc is a strong willed and independent individual. He's not stubborn and really quite flexible. Being the eldest of four brothers he always wanted to set an example. His mother and father supported him through everything, even when he was a stubborn child that always had to get his way.
Family is Caradoc's heart. He is one of five children and loves all of his siblings. He was closest to Tristan, aka Trissy, who was born four years after Caradoc. There isn't anything Caradoc wouldn't do for his family, particularly after they lost their mother. Now that Tristan is gone too Caradoc feels it's his duty to be there for his family more than ever. He is self-sacrificing to the point that he will literally die to save any one of his family.
When he can, Doc spends time doing one of his two favourite things, either horse riding or drawing. Art is not his strong suit but he finds it calming and relaxing. Horse riding and art are Caradoc's ways of escaping his own mind. He quite loves animals and has a black standard poodle named Duchess. He enjoys his walks with Duchess, it's usually when he makes his big decisions. He's quick with decisions but if he can take the time to assess a situation first - he takes it.
Having been quite a goofy and clumsy lad during school Caradoc has since grown out of that. He thanks his hormones balancing out. His hair became more manageable, his pimples disappeared, and he stopped having embarrassing accidents like falling over his own feet or accidentally pouring too much potion into a vial and spilling it everywhere. HISTORY Mother: Rosemary "Rosie" Dearborn, muggle, deceased. Father: James "Jim" Dearborn, 60, muggle Siblings: Tristan Dearborn, 27, muggleborn, deceased. Percival Dearborn, 24, muggleborn. Lionel Dearborn, 21, muggleborn, Lunete Dearborn, 20, muggleborn. Partners: None. Others: Duchess - all black standard poodle, four years old. Midnight - black shire horse with white legs and white streak down her nose, five years old.
Caradoc Bernard Dearborn. The first born child to Rosie and Jim Dearborn was a complete and utter nightmare of a baby. Sleepless nights galore for his parents. It would be three years before he'd sleep through the night and even then that was in his parents bed. He refused to move into his own before. Stubborn was a word that perfectly described little Caradoc.
At the age of four Caradoc became a big brother to little Tristan, or Trissy as Caradoc used to pronounce it, and he was smitten. He took on the role of big brother very seriously and would insist on his little brother being looked after at every whinge. He loved his brother, wanted him happy all the time. Caradoc would sing little lullabies and rhymes to Tristan to try and get him to sleep, including little songs he'd make up by himself. He learnt how to help change and bathe Tristan, he looked after his brother's toys and couldn't do enough for him. The two were close. Caradoc was Tristan's protector and vowed to always look after his little brother.
At the age of eight Caradoc became a big brother again. He was still as stubborn as a mule and just as ugly. His buck-teeth and wild hair didn't do him any favours and other kids kind of found him a little strange. It never bothered him because he noticed he could do things, magical things. When Trissy had been about one and screaming for his dee-dee (dummy) Caradoc had searched high and low for it. He searched and searched until he was on the verge of tears, not being able to find the dummy for his brother. He looked one more time under the stuffed bear he'd gotten Trissy the day they'd brought him hime from the hospital and low and behold the dee-dee was there. Caradoc knew he'd looked under King Arthur the bear before but he shrugged it off and forgot about it within seconds.
As Caradoc got older the more he noticed strange little happenings like that. He spoke to his parents about it who just spoke of how wonderful his imagination was. It wasn't until one day a letter was delivered and a Professor from a school came to visit Caradoc and his parents in their home, that caradoc realised there was truly something magical about him.
At the age of eleven Caradoc left Trissy in charge of the big brother duties, teaching him how to keep a look out for Percival and their mum, Rosie, who was expecting another baby. Tristan didn't need telling of course but Caradoc had insisted and went to Hogwarts confident that his brother was looking out for his younger brother and their mum while he couldn't be there.
The train ride was eye opening for Caradoc. He noticed many magical things and found them all wondrous! He passed a couple of snobs that threw around some word he didn't really understand but he didn't care. He settled in to a compartment with a group of people and happily listened to the tales they told of their lives with magic. Caradoc was simply amazed by it all.
The Sorting Ceremony was a little confusing for Caradoc. They sat a hat on your head and then ... the hat spoke? How did that even happen? The concept of actual magic being real was a bit of a head spin for Caradoc but he got used to it pretty quickly when he had an oversized hat on his head, blocking his view of the great hall as it talked in his ear, leaving Caradoc to wonder if everyone could hear this hat or just him. For everyone else it had been silent until it had shouted a house name - which were totally strange by the way - and there hadn't been any talking that he'd notice. The hat spoke and Caradoc's mind just kept ticking away at how this was possible. The hat spoke and Caradoc wasn't sure if he should talk back. It seemed not to matter, the hat could read his thoughts and that sort of terrified Caradoc. After a couple of minutes of silence on Caradoc's part, the hat screamed out "RAVENCLAW" and the hate was pulled of his head. His ears welcomed the cheering of his house mates as he got off the three legged stool and made his way to the Ravenclaw table, greeted warmly by his fellow Eagles.
Hogwarts was an amazing experience for Caradoc and he threw himself into his learning. For the most part Caradoc didn't really get to know anyone outside of his own year and even then he mostly just knew the boys from his dorm a the girls that were also in Ravenclaw, not that they ever paid much attention from him unless they needed help with their homework and the cute guys didn't have any time for them.
Dating never really happened for Caradoc at Hogwarts. When he finally grew into his buck-teeth and lop-sided grin, he got all pimply and clumsy. He wasn't capable of holding a solid conversation with a girl unless it was about school work or subjects he was confident in. Although he didn't date Caradoc did have a few crushes here and there. He noticed plenty of pretty girls but he was just invisible to them, just as well. The confidence he'd had at home as a child had been lost at Hogwarts but he knew he was good at his school work and so he pushed himself harder to get good grades so he could get a good job.
By the time Caradoc left Hogwarts he'd received quite an education and not just in the way of subjects and grades. He'd learnt about the war building up outside of Hogwarts, about how the muggles were all rather oblivious to it. He'd been passionate about doing something if he could but what could he ever do? It was time to talk to Albus Dumbledore as he seemed to be the one with his head screwed on right ... err, well maybe not right, but certainly screwed on to some degree.
Upon graduation the bright, dorky Ravenclaw got a job in the ministry of magic. He joined the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes after failing to get into both the Auror and Hit-Wizard training program after a spectacular screw up involving his wand and a rather pissed off Barty Crouch with a sore bottom. Caradoc has spent most of his time as an obliviator and then as part of the Accidental Magic Reversal Squad. As of now he's hopped on over to the Muggle-Worthy Excuse Committee where he's in his element what with being a muggleborn himself. He works for the Order in secret and brought his younger brother Tristan in years ago. It has been a decision Caradoc now regrets. Growing up he remembered words his father told him, about how everything he did he did three times. Once when he did it, again when Tristan would copy and once more when Percival would do the same. This was all before Lionel and Lunete were born but the words stuck with the eldest Dearborn and he felt it his job more than ever to look out for his siblings, particularly after their mother died a couple of years ago. But Tristan was murdered. Caradoc failed. He failed Tristan, he failed himself, and he failed his family. After losing Tristan, Caradoc has become more vigilant over his family and moved into the family home. With his sister breaking down every five minutes and his father trying to hold it together, Caradoc is just trying his best to be there for them and to carry on.
