The idea that Dora, of all people, had not thought of a party, was almost shocking to Clem. She followed her friend down the stairs, holding Alec carefully and following Dora into the kitchen. Traditionally men weren't ever at baby showers, traditionally they weren't really involved beyond helping to create the little darlings, but Dora never did anything traditionally and this baby wasn't exactly conceived the traditional way, as husband and wife, so Fin being at the baby shower was a possibility. He'd probably lap up the attention of being the only man in the room and single at that. Perhaps Dora didn't need Fin hogging attention on her special day, but then would she really enjoy herself much without Fin around and not being able to drink? Well probably, she was going to be the centre of attention and showered with gifts for herself and the baby, she'd bloody love it!
"You can't throw one yourself," Clem said informatively, shaking her head, "That gives the whole 'Give me gifts' kind of vibe, like, begging or something." She said, nabbing a star sandwich from Dora's tray. "I'll host it and plan it for you." She said, "It'll be amazing. We can go through a list of who you want there." She said and then took a bite of her sandwich, already planning Dora's baby shower. It was going to be amazing. She was already planning little thank you hampers for the guests and secretly revelling in the thought of having Lilith Lestrange attend. Once invited it would be entirely rude and improper of her to refuse, especially when the party was hosted by her cunning sister in law, but that was only if Dora wanted her there. If Dora didn't want her there then Clem wouldn't think twice about not inviting the sour faced cow.

 She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Dora wasn’t the sort to be above telling others she wanted gifts, but she didn’t like looking as though she were asking for a handout or that she was down on her luck. She wasn’t wealthy, by any means, but she was no longer destitute as she had been a year ago, and Fin would never have allowed her to be so poor that she were homeless. If throwing her own baby shower would be perceived as her begging, then she was more than happy to have Clem sort out all the details and play the hostess. She would sit back and accept all the gifts and attention, and receive none of the judgement throwing her own party would have brought her. “That would be brilliant, Clem. Thank you. You really are a fantastic friend.” Dora set the tray of sandwiches on the table between them and pulled out a chair for herself. She leaned forward to look at baby Alec and cooed a little more genuinely in his direction. “Your mummy is wonderful, isn’t she?” Talking to the baby while his mum held him was more than enough for Dora right now. Party planning aside, she wasn’t feeling nearly good enough to be able to handle another episode of his crying at her expense. Dora simply leaned back into her seat, still smiling at the babe, and plucked a sandwich from the tray.

Clem didn't do thing because she was after praise, she did things, mostly, because they'd be fun! She'd make her friend happy and get her everything she'd need. Dora's life was one heck of a ride and Clem wanted to make this pregnancy and having a baby at least a little easier for the expectant mother. The idea of Dora struggling broke Clem's heart and she wouldn't let her friend struggle and she wouldn't let her know that she had a slight amount of pity for her because Dora would most certainly scold her for it. "It's going to be a blast." She guaranteed. "Lilith Lestrange, struck from the list or you fancy seeing what the Lestranges will gift you?" Merlin Clem hoped she didn't have to invite her cold sister in law but she supposed she'd have to if Dora was interesting in having her there, and a name like a Lestrange at the baby shower would certainly get others showing up which would mean plenty more gifts for Dora.
