Curled up under a bush images flashed before Cora’s eyes. Her night had been unusual but she was fairly certain she hadn’t seen anyone else. Not a human at least. Her memories were all there, tucked away and slowly coming to the surface after a night of prowling the forest, running, hunting and even playing. Animals were usually under no threat when she was in her werewolf form unless she was attacked and she was defending herself, that much she knew and she was grateful for when having to suffer through this curse, but humans were different, it was like she wanted to attack them, as though she had to. Last night she’d been locked away in a tunnel that ran underground. It was her safe spot, somewhere she couldn’t escape and hurt humans for in her werewolf state she knew she wanted to seek out other humans and bite them. Change or kill it didn’t matter to the wolf that she harboured, she just had to hurt them in some way and she had no control over it. The wolf did what the wolf wanted. Last night she had not been safe. She’d burst through her cage and roamed the forest she was hidden away in. It was fun, free and thrilling and she’d come across another werewolf. There was another werewolf out there, one that wasn’t locked up. Perhaps he, and it was most certainly a he, had been locked up but had somehow broken through his confines too. There was the chance that maybe he wanted to hurt people, but then why would he be so deep in the forest if that were the case? Cora looked about, easing herself up from the cold dirt floor, completely nude. She was relatively warm still from her transformations but she knew that wouldn’t last long. She looked about, unsure of where she was. She had no clothes, no wand and no clue where she was. This was no an ideal situation and to top it off there was someone else in this forest, someone she recalled playing with because there was no other word for it. Prowling by his side, running and chasing, pouncing and tumbling, biting and nipping. It was all in fun but there was a sense of familiarity that she just couldn’t shake. It was as though she knew that other wolf and she wondered if perhaps that was the one that had bitten her. Could he have been the one to have started all this for her?
Cora got up and brushed herself off. Her head started pounding the second she was up and the daylight made it feel all the more worse. She was tired and exhausted all at once. Her body craved a soft bed and comfortable pillows to sleep on but first she had to find her way to her little hole in the ground and get her clothes and wand, preferably without anyone else spotting her and without getting entirely lost. It was a shit start to the day. It was already shit having spent part of the morning as a werewolf, it was even shittier being lost in the forest. At least she was in a space she’d come to know relatively well, or as well as you could get to know a forest without actually living in it, so once she found something familiar, she hoped she’d be able to make her way back to her little hole, get clothed and get the hell home before finding out if that other werewolf was friend or foe.

Discoveries The night had been memorable compared to the last three transformations Julian had had. It had been months since he'd had the company of another wolf during a full moon, and he hadn't realised just how much he had missed it until last night. He didn't know who she was, but she had ran with him, they had played, hunted each other for fun, nipped, scratched, rolled down hills, and curiously watched each other through the night. His golden eyes had been eager on her, and he remembered her scent, earthy, sweet, not like that of any of his old pack members. She was new. Julian woke with the birds at first light and his first thought was of her. He needed to know who had made his fourth change since leaving his pack so much more bearable. He wanted to thank her, though he never would, for she likely wouldn't understand, whoever she was, but he appreciated her company more than she would ever know. She had made him feel at home for the first time since November. He at least owed it to her to stalk her through the forest just so he could put a face to the scent. Completely naked, he sat himself up in the long grass, squinting against the harsh light, his head already throbbing, limbs aching from the night's activities. He knew where he was, that was good, and his bag of clothes should be nearby. He had hidden three bags filled with necessities around the forest, so that he'd have clothes and water nearby no matter where he woke up. Pushing himself to his feet, he stretched, the chill of the new spring air nipping at his skin, which was still hot from the transformation. Working the aches from his neck, he rubbed a hand through his dirty blonde curls and set off in the direction of the tree with the hollow in the base just large enough for a small backpack. He had been walking for only five minutes when he caught her scent again. The wolf girl. Following her scent, he stepped carefully through the underbrush, his bare feet making no sound, just like hers as she strolled through the trees into a small clearing. Julian stepped out behind her, only able to see her back and her perfect behind. She was still naked. Bonus. "You're going the wrong way, sweetheart," he piped up, wondering whether her face would be as lovely as her arse, though still only able to see a mass of dark hair. "Unless you want to swim across a lake to get back to civilisation." There was a lake on the western edge of the forest, right where she was heading. There was no way to cross it other than swimming, and it would take hours to walk around it. He watched her, stark naked, muddy and unabashed as he waited for her to turn around. _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: *wolf whistles* X'D <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

There was nothing to suggest that Cora had company. She was travelling in to the wind the blew so anything coming from behind had no scent to her. She heard nothing but then she was suffering quite a bit from the headache her recent transformation had caused and she felt as though she'd been out drinking all weekend. Her transformations were still rough and she was at a point where even with the wolfsbane potion, she felt as though it wasn't going to get any better. This was it, this was all it would ever be, but she had to admit that this morning, she didn't feel quite as bad as usual and she wasn't sure why. Her body still ached, she had a small cut across the top of her chest and a few more scrapes than she had entered the night with. She found her right shoulder was aching and that had been where she was throwing herself at her little prison. She'd obviously escaped and it had been worth it for her wolf but if she'd have hurt someone, she would never have forgiven herself, and there was no way the ministry could know she'd gotten out, her transformations were tough enough without the ministry getting itself involved in her business.
A voice spoke out and instinctively Cora's hands moved to cover herself. Her right arm crossed over her chest, pressing her breasts against her forearm for cover while her left hand shot down and cover herself below. There was nothing she could do for her arse right now and there was no point, whoever was behind her was probably copping quite the eyeful but she still turned her body a little, her head jerking around to see who the familiar sounding voice belonged to. Julian. Julian Blackthorne. While he was noticeably naked Cora refused to take liberties and look over his completely bare body. Back in school she'd considered him a friend but he fell in with a rather questionable crowd and now, she supposed, he was a werewolf. And she had his scent all over her body. And she was stood nude in front of him. And he had clearly not been ashamed about looking at her or being looked upon but Cora wouldn't take a peek. She, held her head high and licked her bottom lip. It was dry but so was her mouth. "If you could find the strength to look absolutely anywhere else right now, it would certainly be appreciated." Her words weren't kind, they were an order and right now she needed some clothes before she'd spend forever mortified and unwilling to ever be in Julian's presence again. This was really quite a turn up for the books and as awkward as she felt right now her brain was still trying to absorb the information that Julian was a werewolf.

Discoveries Her reaction was a predictable one, but amusing nonetheless, and Jules smiled as he watched her try to cover her modesty. She'd have a hard time doing that for longer than a minute or two, especially if she planned on carrying on walking through the forest to find her clothes, or a way home, or whatever it was she had been looking for. Her head turned a little, enough to allow her to glance over her shoulder at him, and Julian's smile dropped. Cora Vance. She had been a good friend to him during their school years, though he hadn't heard from her in a long time. How had she ended up cursed like this? She had been such a lovely girl, quiet, gentle, unassuming. She wasn't someone he would have ever thought would end up tangled in the world of werewolves, yet here she was, naked as the day she was born after spending the night rolling through the underbrush with him. What an unexpected turn of events. Julian was not sorry for staring at her behind, even if she had been an old friend and someone he had never had any romantic interest in. Admiring a perfect view wasn't something to ever regret. Chuckling at her request for him to look anywhere else while she was naked, Jules held his arms out to indicate the endless trees around them. There really wasn't anywhere else to look. "I've seen it all before, love," he laughed, making no move to hide his own nakedness from her. He turned his face away, staring instead at the trunk of a nearby tree as a show of good will towards her. He knew she'd be looking from the corner of her eye. Whether she checked him out or not, he couldn't be sure, but he couldn't wipe the smirk from his face. "Cora." Her name was soft on his lips as he tried to offer her some comfort. "I've got some clothes and blankets hidden just over that hill," he told her, nodding to the small grassy rise that would lead them to the hollowed out tree where one of his bags was stashed. "There's enough for two. I promise not to look anywhere but your face..." He did not know if she was the same gentle soul she used to be, the curse tended to change people, to give them more fire than they were sometimes capable of handling, but he hoped she would be open to letting him help her out. He didn't like to think of himself having to walk away from an old friend and leave her in the lurch because of her own refusal of help. _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

Seen it all before Yeah well not hers he hadn't, at least not until right now and he seemed to not really give many cares that she didn't want him looking, though to his credit he did look the other way, focusing, what she recalled were bright blue eyes, elsewhere. It was hard to believe that she was naked, in the woods, with someone she'd known in school, someone she'd considered a friend. This seemed so very random, it was hard to believe that someone from her own year would also be what she was and that they would stumble upon one another in such a way. Knowing Julian made this whole situation so much harder than it needed to be, if this was just some stranger then they could go their seperate ways. Being that it was Julian it was all rather a fast catch up, which made her so uncomfortable given her current clothing state. Julian didn't seem to mind but she certainly did. She didn't want to see him parading herself around and she certainly didn't want him gawking at her naked form. Perhaps she was just a bit of a prude still but it was honestly the most uncomfortable she'd been around someone in quite some time.
Julian nodded his head towards a hill where there were apparently spare clothes waiting. That seemed rather sensible and convenient but she supposed she had no reason not to believe him, still a lot had clearly changed since their school days, she was fairly certain Julian hadn't been a werewolf back then, surely she would have noticed if he'd been missing every full moon, but then it wasn't as if she shared a dorm or even a common room with him so really how would she have possibly known? "If that's true then lead the way, I'll follow on, and make sure you keep your eyes ahead of you." She said, her tone still strong but perhaps a little more on the gentler side than she had been. She wasn't really in the mood to play catch-up right now but if Julian was able to help her out then she could at least be nice, though why did he have enough spare clothes for two? Did he have someone else in the area that he usually ran with? Cora hadn't seen another wolf about last night but if he had a little wolfy girlfriend then Cora wasn't much in the mood for getting her head ripped off by a potentially jealous - and naked - woman.

Discoveries This was silly. He could understand modesty, and all of that not wanting people to see you naked because it was embarrassing thing, but honestly, she was a beautiful woman with a beautiful body, she really didn't have anything to be bashful about. Julian had been ashamed the first time or two he had turned and woken up naked with strangers, but he had quickly learned that the others in the pack that had taken him in didn't care about such things. They didn't look at him as though he was a piece of meat, nor did they look at him with smiles of amusement. It was just normal for them, and they got on with it as easily as they would brush their teeth in the mornings. What had started off as an exciting aspect of his changes - walking naked through the wilderness with a bunch of other people - had become something he was probably over confident about after so many years. His body was lithe, toned, built in the image of perfection as far as he was concerned, and he was happy to show it off. "As you wish," he said, stifling a laugh and turning his back to Cora, leading the way through the forest towards the small hill he had been originally heading for. He could hear her carefully trailing behind him, and he tried to keep the distance between them short so that he could talk to her as they walked. "Cora Vance. Naked in the woods. How wonderfully strange the world is," he said, tilting his head ever so slightly so that his words could carry over his shoulder. "How long ago were you cursed?" he asked, not knowing any other way to speak of the affliction both he and Cora suffered from. It was a curse, it would never be anything other than a curse, and a cruel one at that. Though he had embraced it for many years and even delved into the world of lycanthropy to the point of joining a pack and leaving his family behind so that he could better control what had happened to him and learn to live with it, it was still a terror for him and every other werewolf in the world. You could accept and embrace it as much as you wanted, but it would always be a plague on your mind and body. Knowing thy enemy was a much harder task when your enemy was yourself once a month. Jules was committed, though, at least he had been up until his recent upheaval. He wondered how long Cora had been battling her way through her existence and how she was handling it. _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

Cora wasn't used to people seeing her naked, especially not under these circumstances. She'd never come across another werewolf since she'd been one but she was very much aware they were out there. Some restrained themselves like she had tried to do, while others, like Julian here, seemed to prefer to roam around completely care free. Cora couldn't ever imagine doing that and yet she could remember last night, she could remember the fun she had being free of her cage and exploring the forest. Once she'd come across Julian she'd had even more fun, playing with another werewolf was not something she ever thought she would do, she'd always been so careful but last night something had obviously gone wrong. Cora was kind of glad in a way that she'd come across Julian because who knew how far she might have roamed and if she came to civilisation then what? She could have killed someone, it was there in the wolf's mature, not in hers in the slightest but the wolf ... most definitely. She didn't want to be a murderer, she didn't want to hurt a single soul and so she'd make sure that next month she was locked up a damn sight better than this time and put a few extra safety precautions in to place, not for her, for the people.
One of the topics Cora rather disliked was how long she'd been a werewolf. It made her think back to that night when her life had changed. Julian describing it as a curse was precisely spot on so what exactly made him think she would want to relive that night? Did he enjoy reliving his bite? Probably not, it wasn't a pleasant thing, so she skipped over his attempts at conversation, "Are you going to talk the entire way?" She asked, clearly not in the mood for light chit-chat with a naked former school mate. There had been a time when she'd gotten on rather well with Julian. They'd not been the same house and he was one of those people that jumped around from group to group but he'd been easy going and nice to talk to back in the day, but clearly, much like her, his life had lead him down a darker path and the Julian she'd known during school was quite the charmer and right now, naked in the woods, Cora didn't really feel like chit chat and charm.

Discoveries Someone wasn't in the mood for a catch up. What did she expect him to do, not speak to her at all? They'd been friends once upon a time, did she think it completely unnatural for curiosity to rear it's head in a situation like this?Sure, she might not have wanted to answer questions about how she ended up a werewolf, but as someone who had frolicked - for lack of a more manly word - with her all night, he thought he might be entitled to pry a little bit. Actually, he really wasn't, but he was arrogant enough to have a go. But fine, if she didn't want to make small talk, he could deal with that. "Well if you'd rather stare at my arse in silence, by all means, have at it," he called over his shoulder, thinking there was no way she wasn't having a good look back there. She could play the shy damsel all she liked, but he had a fine arse, and a fine everything else for that matter, and she'd have to be some sort of alien to resist admiring it when it was on full show and his back was turned so he wouldn't even see her doing it. Nobody was virtuous enough to resist that opportunity. He navigated the small hill in silence, weaving through the thinning trees until he came out on top of the small rise, a trickling stream just a few feet away, a fallen log beside it with a hollowed out hole. It wasn't the best place to store a bag of clothes and supplies, and out of his three hiding spots, it was his least favourite since things could feel a bit cold and possibly damp from being near water. It would do. It was the one he had woken closest to, so they would have to deal with cold clothes. "We're here," he muttered, crossing to the log and reaching inside to pull out a backpack. Crouching on the twiggy, grassy ground, he unzipped it and pulled out a pair of jeans, a loose fitting jumper, and a large woolen blanket. He tossed the jumper and blanket to Cora. "It's not much, but it'll keep you warm until you get to your own clothes," he grinned, standing and shaking out his slightly crumpled jeans, and wishing he'd packed two jumpers or at least two blankets. His torso would be warm for now, but it probably wouldn't stay that way for long. How far away had she hidden her things? _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

Not much had changed with Julian's cheeky personality. Perhaps it was just a show, perhaps it was a way of denying what the wolf inside had made him but Cora was far different from what she'd once been. She was no longer the wall flower, she was no longer the door mat that everyone could walk all over and take advantage of. The anger she felt from everything that had happened, revolving around that one night, had made her a little more bitter than she had ever been. She disliked what the bite had done to her but it was what it was and there was little use dwelling on it. Occasionally she would allow herself to think of how life had been, how different it would be now if she were not bitten but she found she got too upset. Her parents hadn't exactly turned their backs on her completely but they may as well have. If it hadn't of been for her sisters then Cora wasn't sure what she would have done with her life after the bite, after her first change. Life was far from simple these days and staring at Julian's arse would only complicate matters, she didn't need that and so she avoided looking at it, not the slightest bit interested in him being naked in front of her, leading her through a forest she had decided she truly had to get to know better. If she hadn't come across him last night then ... Cora didn't want to think of what could have happened, Julian had been present and that was what mattered, he'd potentially stopped her from unthinkable things.
She followed him for a way, she had faith he wasn't leading her into so me dragon shit situation but he eventually let her know that they had arrived at their destination. She watched curiously as he moved to a log, looking for something and then pulled out a backpack. She avoided looking at his arse all though she did catch a glimpse occasionally. Julian threw a jump and blanket her way and she immediately slipped the jumper on over her head. It was long and baggy on her, falling down over her bum. She then wrapped the blanket around her lower half, tucking it in and wishing she had her wand on her so she could make the clothes warmer and possibly less damp, it was a fine line between cold and damp and she couldn't tell what the clothes were but she was thankful, "Thanks." She said, looking over at Julian who was completely shirtless, he hadn't packed a tee shirt or something? "I've got a few things downstream." At least she hoped she was at the right river. She could follow it down and hopefully find the fork where the cave she usually stayed in wasn't far from. Though of course it was entirely possible she was completely in the wrong place and she wouldn't be able to get out of the forest without her wand and it didn't seem like Julian had a wand on him but who knew what was in that backpack of his, back at her own little cave she had clothes, her wand and snacks and fresh water. Her sister would probably be there and worrying so Cora intended to keep a listen out for any signal from her sister and anything that would give away the location of her little cave.

Discoveries Cora thought her own things might be downstream, but Jules had to admit he didn't have much faith in her sense of direction this morning. Besides that, this forest was huge, big enough for a werewolf to get lost in for an entire night without breaking free into civilisation, she could have left her things downstream of any river or trickling stream. Then again, he did think that downstream of this river was a small cave and a series of tunnels that lead into a hillside, and said cave was his first hiding place for his belongings, and more specifically his wand, which he would need if he wanted to get home any time within the next three days. It would be impossible to walk all the way back to his little flat from here, it was literally worlds away. He needed to get to backpack number one and his wand as soon as possible, and if that just so happened to be the location of Cora's clothes, then all the better because he'd have his jumper back, and he so wanted his snuggly jumper. And his blanket. He dipped his hand into his bag and pulled out a bottle of water, unscrewing the top and holding it out to Cora first. "Drink?" he asked, wondering how long she was going to be snooty with him. The girl he had been friends with back at school had been quiet and easy going, Jules had never been anything but easy and comfortable in her presence, but now she seemed to have at least ten steel walls up around her, and no intentions of even opening a window to let him peek in. He didn't really want to peek in anyway, he'd got a good enough look when he'd first found her. In fact, he wondered just how much of a look he'd gotten of her in wolf form, the memories were blurry, but the breeze that whipped through the forest carried his scent to his nose and he stank of her. Had they...? Did it really matter? Not to Julian. He just wanted to get home and have a bath, some food, painkillers, and a nap. In that order. No snooty old friends in the mix at all. He slung his backpack over his shoulder, the rough material scraping along his bare skin. He really wanted that jumper back. _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

This wasn't the most comfortable outfit to be wearing in the cold after a night like last night. Cora supposed she was only in half an outfit anyway because a blanket didn't really count as clothing but beggars could not be choosers. Once she was at her own bag she'd have actual trousers and clothes that fit her, she had a good supply of bits and pieces, including snacks, fresh water and some juice to help perk her up a little if she felt like it. She supposed she'd offer Julian something, providing he wasn't a perverted arse all the way there but so far so good. He wasn't being unreasonable and she'd just spent the night with him ... not in the way one might think, in fact in a very complicated way, but she wasn'y going to give in and be all chummy with him just because their wolfy halves had decided the middle of the night during a full moon was a perfect time for play. She should never have been able to get out but accidents happened. At least she sincerely hoped it was some kind of accident. Had she checked absolutely everything last night? She had no idea but she'd be having a chat with Emmy to see if they could figure out what had gone wrong. Cora most certainly felt she'd be leaving out the part about Julian.
Julian reached out a hand that had a bottle in it. Cora stepped a little closer and took the bottle with a small mumble "Thanks." Well she supposed she'd have to share whatever she had with him, he was being pretty descent, but she was beginning to wonder just what this meant. She'd never really come across other werewolves, not ones that had been in their wolf-like state before and people she'd passed by at the Ministry, she'd never known. Julian she knew and it wasn't as if this kind of information could just now be ignored. Sure they didn't spend time with one another but knowing he'd know where she was on the full moons made her feel a little uneasy. She'd never really had reason not to trust Julian before, she wasn't really one for quick judgements and that included today, she just felt a little exposed. A lot exposed actually. He knew her secret and not only that she'd been naked in front of him. Some literal exposure going on.
Cora took a couple of mouthfuls from the bottle before handing it back to Julian. The walk wasn't going to be too long and she hoped to be able to just grab her stuff and get on out. She just carried on walking in silence, listening out for the sounds of anyone else. Her sense of smell wasn't much to go on. She could smell herself and him, damp clothes and that was about all. His scent was a little overpowering and she wondered if that was just him or if all male werewolves were like that, or even all werewolves. She'd never really been aware of her own scent before, was it as strong as his? Cora didn't want to think on it too much, she just wanted to get properly warm and get home. Part of her wondered what Julian's story was but she wasn't nosey enough to ask. Thankfully, just up ahead beyond a small clearing was a gathering of thick trees that Cora recognised. She knew just beyond the trees, before it all started to spread out a little more, was her little cave with all she needed and thank Morgana for that, she didn't much fancy sticking around in Julian's company. This felt far too awkward for her. "Nearly there." She said softly, looking to Julian and then back to the trees that hid her little cave and cage.

Discoveries Jules didn't bother wiping the top of the bottle when Cora handed it back to him, he just took a swig and screwed the cap back on. River would have had some words of disgust for him, going on about germs and strangers, she had always been quite fussy about things like that as a child. She wouldn't even share a drink with her own brother without using her sleeve to wipe his germs away. Her own brother. Jules had found it funny most of the time, but he really didn't see the point. How was it any different to playing tonsil tennis with strange women? It wasn't, and he did that all the time, so it really didn't matter if Cora's naked wolf germs were floating in his bottle of water. He stank of her anyway, he really didn't think they could get any closer than they had been through the night apart from actually having hot wolf sex in this cave they were going to. Based off of how prickly Cora was being with him, he doubted that would be an option. Besides, he had his eye on Lunete. He followed Cora through the forest, keeping his mouth shut for the time being. If she wanted to talk, she would. He didn't understand why she felt the need to be frosty with him, but if it helped her to cope with having someone find out her dirty little secret, then that was fine by Jules. She could bet her perky little arse that he'd be doing a bit of digging on her over the next few weeks, trying to see if he could find any information about what she'd been doing with her life and how she might have ended up being bitten. An attack on a young girl must have been recorded somewhere, maybe the prophet had done a piece on it. If he'd have been closer to his new brother, he might have been able to ask him for a favour. Dorian could have probably done a bit of snooping at the Ministry to find out if she was a registered werewolf. Then again, that was probably too sneaky for someone as uptight as Dorian, even if it was family asking him. Cora announced that they were nearly there, with a peek over her shoulder at him, and Jules smiled and nodded. "So close to being able to escape me," he teased. _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

Close to being able to escape Julian was one thing, not that she really needed to escape, she didn't feel that she was in any kind of danger around him, she just didn't fancy him knowing I've her secret. Everyone she had worked with at the ministry knew of her secret, it was a hard to escape the gossip that came after the incident. It had taken a lot of work and time to get her life settled once more. It was only through chance that she managed to get her life on track. If it hadn't of been for her sisters she wasn't sure where she would have ended up in life. Her sisters were the support to get her through the hardest time of her life. Her parents had panicked they've known what she become and then turned their backs on her, not in any formal sort of way but they had very little to do with her after her stay in the hospital after the attack. What worried Cora was that Julian could make her life, that she had work so hard for, a living hell once more. Julian had a power over her now, he had knowledge, and she had no idea how he might use that against her. It worried her. Would their once friendship stand up so these new discoveries? Julian, from Cora's point of view, had always been a wild card and she had no idea what might happen after this meeting.
Had the circumstances been more relaxed Cora might have enjoyed the scenery a little more. The forests had always been a favourite spot for Cora, they had always called out to her soul. She was drawn to their life and their darkness. She was very much drawn to the Forbidden Forest at Hogwarts. Of course she had always been too frightened to enter it, she was not the sort to try and actively break any School Rules. Not that she was perfect but she tried her hardest not to die at Hogwarts. It wasn't exactly the safest of places really, but you never really noticed all that much as a kid, it just was what it was, and people continued to send their kids there because it was all a rather good learning experience really, although Cora was a lot more timid than her classmates had been, not so much these days though. Either the wolf inside of her had changed her or the whole being shunned from society thing had left her with a rather bitter taste in her mouth but she wasn't the wallflower she'd been during her Hogwarts days. She wasn't the opposite though, she wasn't one for actively seeking attention or wanting the spotlight, but she wasn't some kind of doormat.
Cora chose not to respond to his comment as she made her way down the hill and to the mouth of the little cave, her home away from home when required. Julian was charming an manipulative, or at least he had been during his days at Hogwarts. Back then she'd noticed but she'd not exactly been aware, not that it made too much sense. She'd always been aware he was good at charming people but it wasn't until now, thinking back on their school days and their interactions, his interactions especially, that she realised he had been rather manipulative. Back in school it had just been Julian being Julian, able to fit in with any crowd, able to befriend just about anyone. He bent his personality to fit the crowd he was socialising with, albeit subtly. Had it all been just playful or was it something darker. Had he always been a werewolf, even back then, or was the wolf just somewhat fitting for his personality, because it was. Of all the people she knew, being a werewolf seemed fitting for Julian Blackthorne more than any other. She didn't wish such a curse upon anyone, but it seemed to suit some better than others. She was pretty sure it didn't suit her at all.
As she looked at the mess of her cave, her bag torn up, clothes and bits of food scattered everywhere, partially eaten and obvious that in her wolf state she'd been rather peckish, she sighed. It was a mess, the door to her little cage was off its hinges but at least there was no dead bodies around. She'd remember more of her night once she was home and able to rest, the thoughts would more than likely come as they always did - right before she settled in her bed, ready to sleep for the night, clouding her mind, preventing her from sleeping for at least an hour. Cora just moved to her ripped bag. A simple, khaki green backpack that was now torn up, clothes pulled out from it. Her hands unbuckled it and reached inside, pulling out a pair of underwear that she put back in, scrunched up hoping to Morgana that Julian hadn't seen them, and pulled out a grey knit jumper instead. At the bottom of the backpack was her handbag that she kept with some money, sickles if she needed currency through the wizarding world, and pound sterlings, if she needed money for the muggle realm. It also housed a few little extra bits like balms if she needed for any cuts. Travelling with a handbag was a lot less conspicuous than with a backpack and Cora had a dislike for drawing attention to herself, especially after a full moon but judging by the tears in her jeans that were hanging out of her backpack through a decent rip no doubt made by her claws, she would draw attention to herself wearing those. Did she have the energy to repair her clothes and apparate home? She had no idea yet but she'd weigh up her options. Repair clothes so Julian wouldn't see her arse through a flappy tear in her jeans, then hang around a bit, perhaps have a nap until she had more energy to get home, or just get dressed and not worry about Julian catching another glance of her arse and instead just apparate home in wrecked clothing. She did feel a rather lot more tired than usual after a full moon but usually she never escaped her cage, her nights were boring, thrashing against the bars, scratching at the dirt, prowling with no where to go. It wasn't exactly exhausting, but having been out all night, roaming, running, playing ... then the walk back to the cave while essentially feeling hungover was quite a lot for Cora, but she supposed she had to get home.

Discoveries He watched as she fussed about with her bag, though he soon lost interest when she failed to strip off and give him his jumper back. "I have some things a little way from here," he said as he walked through an opening at the back of the cave, leaving her to have a bit of privacy. "I'll be back in a minute." She probably didn't want him to come back, but he would anyway, her cave was the quickest exit from the myriad of tunnels that ran through the hillside, and he didn't fancy walking a few miles to reach another opening. Jules was tired, and he was starting to feel the chill in the air the longer his torso was bare. His other bag that was hidden deep in the tunnels held more clothes and his wand, and the sooner he got to it, the better. He didn't want to start getting moody and snappy with Cora, she had done nothing to deserve it, but as his wolfy hangover began to kick in, it would be inevitable unless he took steps to remedy it. The tunnels were dark and murky, but his senses were still heightened to almost wolf level, and every footstep that scraped along the dirt floor made his ears cringe, and his head ache. He took a few left turns, walked for a few minutes, and then turned right, the tunnel eventually opening into a small round chamber where his backpack was tucked away behind a pile of rocks that had crumbled down from the roof of the tunnels at some point. Dropping the backpack he already had, he hurried to the new one, which was navy blue with tiny white stars all over it. It belonged to his son, Tristan. Or it had done until Jules had forgotten to give it back when he'd taken the small boy back to his mother last month. His visits with Tristan were short, though Jules fully intended for that to change now that he had started getting himself some semblance of a stable life. Maybe his boy could even stay with him overnight each week. That would be the dream, and if it meant Jules would have to stop renting out River's house and live in it himself, then he would just have to work a bit of overtime at the apothecary here and there to try and make up the money. He liked the thought of himself and Tristan being in a nice house together. Pulling out a black jumper that was much more fitted than the one he had given to Cora, Jules tugged it on and found himself some shoes, ragged boots that had seen better days, but were perfect for navigating the woods. He began the walk back through the tunnels, now carrying two bags - he would replenish them both in time for the next full moon, and hide them again - he stuffed his wand into the pocket of his jeans, and eventually made his way back into Cora's cave. He leaned against the wall, pulling out his bottle of water and some paracetamol he had found in Tristan's small bag. He waved the heaven sent medicine at Cora. "Need any of these?" he asked, popping a few pills into his mouth and gulping them down with water. What he really needed was food, though he felt sick, a usual aftereffect of the full moon, and doubted he could stomach anything significant just yet. Maybe he could make some toast when he got home, which would be another challenge. Being this tired and apparating was a risky little game if you didn't want to be splinched. _______________________ tag: Cora Calliope Vance notes: <3 template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"]

While Cora weighed her options, Julian wandered off and left her alone. At last she felt comfortable. Sort of. She wasn't exactly able to relax knowing that someone else now knew her secret but she was relaxed being alone. She just fixed her jeans and figured she could call the Knight Bus to come and get her. They wouldn't question what she was doing out in the woods the morning after a full moon. They'd probably picked people up from far crazier places than the middle of a forest but she'd try and make sure she'd cover her face at least a little. She didn't want people figuring out what she was. She'd spent so long keeping it all a secret that the idea of several people finding out in one night was somewhat terrifying. She felt that she may need to pack up her life, move and start off all over again where no one knew who she was. She'd already left a large portion of her life in the wizarding world behind her after her incident and she didn't want to leave any more of it.
Cora dressed herself in her clothes that she found scattered around her little cave. She started tidying things up and by the time she was done she was starving, even more tired, and feeling more run down than before. She couldn't leave the cave as it had been, wild animals would have been attracted to the food and then she'd risk someone discovering her little cave and there was already one too many in the know.
Flinging her bag over her shoulder Cora looked up to see Julian had returned. He offered her some paracetamol and they actually seemed like a really good idea. She hadn't come across the potion that she usually took the morning after her transformations and she figured she wasn't going to. "Yeah. Thanks." She said, wondering how to approach the subject of 'please don't tell anyone I'm a werewolf, pretty please.' with Julian. She had no idea if he was the sort that might gossip about this kind of thing, perhaps he had friends or family that knew and accepted what he was just as she had her sisters, sisters who she’d be telling partially about her evening. She'd keep Julian's identity out of it all but she was certainly going to have to tell Emmy that she got out of her cage and that they were going to have to make a visit to fix it up as best they could before the next full moon. Cora could not risk this happening again. Next time she might no be so lucky as to come across Julian, next time it could be a human that stumbled unwittingly across her path and she did not want to fathom the outcome of that one.
