Don't mistake my silence for ignorance, my calmness for acceptance or my kindness for weakness
The future, as Bonnie was well aware, was a tricky business. Her own past should have been ample proof of that, if any were required. Because while she might be a Seer- and a true Seer at that, despite the doubts of many in the wizarding world, for Divination was a science, albeit a somewhat imprecise one in that it often left much room for interpretation of results. It was when results were incorrectly interpreted that catastrophe could arise.
Presently, the witch was seated at her own desk by the light of a yellow lantern which hung from the roof. Her office was somewhat chaotic, and her classroom more so, not due to any laziness on her part or even any belief in the beneficial qualities of chaos where Divination was concerned, since she was very nearly certain that such qualities did not exist. Bonnie detested chaos, and it had formed far too great a part of her life up to this point. She fully intended to rectify the mess which had been left by her predecessor just as soon as time allowed. The fact that time was currently allowing for her to be sitting before her crystal ball, gazing meditatively into its misty depths was neither here nor there, and that was a fact which she was choosing to ignore. This was her job now, after all. A thought which still made her smile.
Long ago, she would never have even entertained the idea of taking up this position. Not enough confidence, not enough experience and not nearly enough time. Whereas now... Now, she had nothing but time, which was rather depressing. But Bonnie did not intend to allow it to get her down. She had spent far too many years being miserable and she was not going to allow herself to be so any more.
