1970
•• Muggle-born disappearances are reported in record numbers, totalling 39 adults and 42 minors by the end of the year.
•• Lord Voldemort claims responsibility for the disappearances and vows more if muggle-born wizards and witches continue to be allowed entrance to Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry
1972
•• Mixed-families (wizarding and muggle) are targeted by Death Eaters. 19 families are reported missing or dead by year's end.
•• The Dark Mark is a familiar sight on the front page of the Daily Prophet
1974
•• Death Eaters begin targeting muggle-born business owners, often setting fire to their shops and trapping them inside by use of force. More than a dozen muggleborn-owned shops are destroyed. Many others shut down out of fear.
1975
•• (January) A small Death Eater attack on a muggleborn-owned shop in Dublin leaves Dora Parkinson in a coma for a fortnight, with broken bones and physical scars that won't heal.
•• (July) Heath and Rebekah Parkinson are kidnapped while on holiday. Heath is murdered. Rebekah is released. The MLE arrest a former client of Heath's who'd lost all their money in the Parkinson's embezzling scheme.
•• (December) Theon Parkinson, is found murdered on the way to a Christmas party. The Death Eaters do not claim responsibility for the death of the pureblooded wizard. No arrest is ever made.
1978
•• (May) Hogwarts Astronomy professor, Paris James, and shop owner, Tiberius Everly, are murdered by Death Eaters during a large attack on Hogsmeade. The final death toll for the attack was 18 wizarding folk; 17 of whom were muggleborn.
•• (August) A Death Eater attack at a carnival in Godric's Hollow leads to the deaths of 39 muggles and 14 wizarding folk.
1979
•• (January) Allies of the Order start disappearing or turning up dead
•• (January) Dumbledore has plans to place a spy in amongst the Death Eaters
•• (March) Rodolphus Lestrange files for divorce from his wife of nearly seven years, Bellatrix Lestrange
•• (June) A targeted attack on Order member and Hogwarts Astronomy professor, Tristan Dearborn, is carried out, leaving the Dearborn family and the wizarding community rocked
•• (June) Bellatrix Lestrange attacks Auror Dorcas Meadowes in her home and is subsequently killed
•• (July) The Minister for Magic, Sybil Galanis' body washes on the shore of the Thames, near the Ministry building and muggle Parliament. The Death Eaters take credit for her murder. Aurelius Avery becomes the interim Minister, disregarding the typical line of succession
•• (November) Wilbur Dolohov becomes Minister for Magic.
•• Dorcas claims to want to carry Roddy's babies and throws herself at him continuously
1980
•• (January) Sybill Trelawney makes a prophecy to Albus Dumbledore in the Hog's Head. Overheard by Severus Snape, Snape informs Lord Voldemort. Plans are in place to identify "the chosen one".
•• (February) Roddy plans to propose to Dorcas because he knows he's gotta lock that fine booty down!
•• (February) Caught in a bar duel, Scarlett Maguire is murdered, leaving her son Tristan in the care of his father, Julian Blackthorne.
•• (May) Minister for Magic, Wilbur Dolohov, announces the roll out of new laws across the Wizarding world, slowly abolishing the International Statute of Wizarding Secrecy that was implemented in 1689.
•• (May) Muggleborns have to wear fluorescent arm bands with a large silver 'M' that shines in the dark, marking them as "Enemies of the Magical World".
•• (September) Rodolphus somehow managed to trick Dorcas into marrying him. She has not yet filed for divorce.
•• (November) The Minister of Magic vows to clean up the streets. While witches and wizards may use their magic freely in the muggle world, the Death Eaters have eased off of the magical community, giving people hope of a new dawning era under Minister Dolohov.
1981
•• (January) The New Year, New Dramas. The Minister of Magic seems to be making a stir at the ministry, but what's going on ...?
