Dark Mark Shines Again Monday evening after 10:30pm, a call was placed to muggle authorities regarding a possible home invasion in Chittlehampton. Muggle police discovered the mutilated bodies of four of the five Netherly family. The bodies of Archibald Netherly, 41, and his wife Agatha, 38, had been bound and gagged in the kitchen of their Mayflower Cl home. Their two youngest children, Caroline, 10, and Daphne, 8, were tucked into their beds, postmortem. The Netherly’s eldest daughter, Bethany, 15, was away at school, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and is being placed under protective custody. Magical Law Enforcement spokesperson Harold Walberger says that the use of the Imperius Curse was evident in Mrs Netherly, who was forced to slit the throats of her children before laying them in their beds as Mr Netherly looked on, reportedly already restrained. Archibald and Agatha were then tortured via the Cruciatus Curse before being murdered. The Dark Mark was hanging above the Chittlehampton home after initial reports were made by neighbors, but before muggle police arrived and MLE officers were dispatched, leading investigators to believe the murderer remained in the area until officials arrived. Walberger is attributing the murders to the terrorist group known as Death Eaters. Hit Wizards were dispatched to modify all muggle witness’ memories of the events and remove the signal of He-Who-Shall-Not-Be-Named. This attack marks the third Death Eater claimed attack this year. |
