My dearest sister,

I cannot begin to express my sincerest condolences at your recent loss. I cannot put into words my sorrow at the grief you must feel, and fall short in my attempt to comfort you. While I will not abduct you from your home Cissa, you need but reply to this letter and I will send for you. You are ever welcome here love.

I will be sure to send Aurora with Roddy to keep busy and we shall have the house to ourselves. Please write soon darling as I cannot bear to think of you alone in that house. You must tell me how you are, if your husband is of comfort, if he is of an ill temper or neglectful I shall see to his behavior personally. Stay strong dearest.
