fix you
When the tears come streaming down your face
When you lose something you can't replace
“
"Well, find them."
Bella's voice was lethal. Few had mastered the tone quite like she had, but it was enough to send a chill down the house elf's back. He was gone with a snap, on a life or death mission to find the rose tea set. It was Cissa's favorite.
Bella sighed and checked the time once more. She had sent the carriage for her younger sister just under a half an hour ago so Narcissa would have been arriving at any minute and Bella wanted everything to be perfect.
She had sent Rodolphus off shopping with their daughter, Aurora, and instructed him to keep the princess happy and not return until he was summoned. Not that he necessarily followed her orders, but he hardly needed incentive to spoil their daughter, and Bella had a way of making his life hell if he didn't listen to her. Today she needed a quiet, peaceful, home, and she needed privacy.
Her poor sister. Bella couldn't imagine the pain that Narcissa must be in. It had cut like a knife when Roddy shunned their daughter at first, and he quickly changed his tune. She's been making him pay for it ever since, but to have lost the child entirely? To have never held Aurora in her arms? Never kissed her asleep? Never hear her laugh or say "I love you mummy."
Bella put a hand against her chest to fight the sudden ache that landed there.
"Bugsy!" she called out hating the emotion that welled inside of her. She needed to focus on the task at hand and yell at someone, if only there was someone that needed to be killed. Bella was in the right mood for it.
Chewing out Bugsy helped to relieve some tension. Once again Bella found herself in control of her emotions. As a young girl Bella had learned to pinch her side or dig her fingernails into her palm while keeping a smile on her face. She was truly a master of her emotions, but she was not a robot. A fierce enough event could penetrate her icy exterior, and her sister's miscarriage brought out latent feelings of despair for Bella.
When she was finished yelling at Bugsy to acquire a different tea and make sure the lounge was set properly, she made her way into the light and airy setting and sat on the couch to wait.
