 But the tigers come at night with their voices soft as thunder Kit stood on the rocks, squinting out over the ocean. The sun was high in the clear blue sky, and he'd been confident that he could find some starfish for Roma like he did when they were younger, but the tidepools at his feet were empty save for seaweed and a few shells. He scrunched up his face in annoyance. The tide was out, so there was no chance of anything else washing up on the rocks just yet. "Maybe we should try somewhere else," he called to Roma. There were more rocks further down the beach that they hadn't combed yet, maybe they'd find the elusive creatures there. Kit was loving his beach day with his baby sister, she was by far the easiest to get along with out of his siblings, mostly because he was a complete pushover with her, but he liked to think they enjoyed each other's company, too. Roma was drama free. No drawing attention to herself playing Quidditch in front of crowds, no getting knocked up by random blokes in bars. Romy wiggled her toes in the wet sand as she stood beside a rock pool, looking as though she was peering into the pool, instead she was watching her feet sink and the sand, plus a little sea water, started gathering over the tops of her feet. When Kit called out that maybe they should try somewhere else, Romy picked her feet out, feeling a little resistance from the sand, and headed over to Kit, "Okay." She called back, although she needn't have bothered, she just started making her way on over to him, thinking there were definitely better ways to spend her day, but buttering up her big bro wasn't the worst of ways to spend it, and she was on a beach in summer so all in all it probably wouldn't be a bad day.

"Ha! Told you we'd find some," he said with a massive grin of triumph on his tanned face. He put an arm around Roma's shoulders, waving the other hand dramatically as if to present his findings. She'd have giggled when she was little, but he didn't expect that from her now. Kit's enthusiasm was enough to put a genuine smile on Romy's face. She loved seeing her big brother so happy. When they'd been younger she could remember him being far more serious, but he always made her smile, always had the time for her and she'd always owe him for that. She loved everyone in her family, but she had a special bond with Kit. She wrapped her arm around his back and gave him a small side hug, "You were right!" She cast her eyes over the many starfish that laid in the water, "They seemed so much bigger when we were kids." She said, bending down to get a closer look at them just hanging out, minding their own business.

They were tiny compared to how they'd seemed when they were kids. "What, you want giant killer starfish now?" he teased. wondering if it would be weird to use magic to make them grow. Would that affect things in the ocean? Would they move up the food chain if they were bigger and badder? There were so many questions and possibilities that he thought better of it. Tiny starfish would have to do. Romy laughed at the idea of a giant killer starfish, "At least I've got you to protect me." Kit would always look out for her, Romy knew that, and while she loved him for it, it could be a little stifling at times, but she'd learnt how to get around the whole overly-protective big brother act so life was a good, healthy balance for Romy these days. "That one!" She said, grinning and pointing to a regular looking starfish. It was orange and white but it didn't seem to have a single blemish. It was quite picturesque for a standard starfish.
