Connection to the Dark Lord:
Severus has only heard of the Dark Lord when he entered Hogwarts during his first year, learning the name quickly. Blood supremacy was a growing topic, hitting their peak during his final years in attendance. He would be lying if he did not say he agreed with the dark lords plan, wishing to put muggles in their place. He hopes that no one had to deal with the same disrespect he experienced growing up with a aggressive muggle father. Some of his friends and fellow housemate were devout supports of the Lord’s work, working towards becoming Death Eaters. He was quickly taken in, despite him being a half blood. He has yet to meet the Dark Lord as of yet, waiting on the day that he is summoned to be introduced.
Useful Skills:
Over the years of enduring abuse, he has learned to control his outward emotions and even learned that he had a nature talent in Occlumency. Discovering this hidden talent, he began working on learning Legilimency. Severus has alway been able to be a quick learner in all things. He has mastered potions, starting to brew his own in his free time. Dark arts has always been his love and is willing to show anyone that will take advantage of his skills.
Useful Affiliations:
He is planning on returning to Hogwarts to take up the Defense Against The Dark Art professor position, he would be close to all the fellow staff members if he gets inside as well as the students.
Why join the Dark Lord?
When Severus was old enough to understand, he discovered the vase differences between purebloods and the non-magical folk that surrounded him growing up. He witnessed his muggle father beat his witch mother senseless, never understanding why she did not use her magic to fight back. A muggle broke his mother’s spirit, made her weak….the fact did not sit well with him. Growing up the only kid in his area [until he discovered Lily] he was forced to hide his given magical talents from everyone, even his father. He looked to Hogwarts as a form of escape from his old life but noticed just how many muggles have made their way inside of their school. They were all the same in his eyes, abusing power that does not belong to them. He wants to make changes, he is tired of being the one walked on when he should be revered and respected. He saw the Dark Lord as the only one trying to set things right and create a natural order. No one was giving him a chance to show case his abilities and wanted to prove to the dark lord that he can not go wrong with trusting him.
