From the moment of conception she has been nothing but a sweet, kind, and untroubled little human. Her life is a rather privileged one and she’s not unaware of that. She accepts what is and she “goes with the flow” as her older brother says. She has an inner peace within that is enviable. She’s not a flawless human being but she is a happy one. The September after her 11th birthday, Serenity was off to Hogwarts and she quite enjoyed it. It was rather expected, Serenity thought, but she had expected to miss her parents more than she did. When it came time to be sorted Serenity was a hatstall. Would she have done better in Slytherin or Hufflepuff, the Sorting hat pondered in her ear. She was the for what felt like quite a while, but she patiently waited, enjoying listening to the thoughts of the sorting hat. It was quite pleasurable to listen to such a thought process. After sometime the hat consulted Serenity on her house of preference. She had no opinion and it was left solely to the Sorting hat. After going through its due diligence, the hat called out ‘SLYTHERIN’ and she was sorted into the house of the snake. Serenity thanked the hat for it’s time and made her way to the applauding house. Slytherin, while not an obvious choice for someone like Serenity, benefitted much from her presence. She turned out to be quite the peacekeeper, a secret leader hidden beneath her surface. And Slytherin has helped Serenity to come out of her shell a little more. She’s more playful and outgoing than ever. She loves to get silly and she won’t hesitate in putting her foot down if she feels she’s becoming too much of a doormat, although she will do that in her own gentle way. As one might expect, when it comes to lessons such as Defence Against the Dark Arts, Serenity is not at her strongest, but when it comes to Care of Magical Creatures and Herbology, her ability to nurture so selflessly shines through. Serenity has her sights set on life after Hogwarts and nothing will get in the way of her dreams, and if they do?
