Blood Status: Truly pure.
Connection to the Dark Lord: Fin's father has been a loyal follower for many years, and has raised his only son in the same beliefs, and the same devoted circles of loyal believers. Fin was honoured to be called to his very first meeting in his final year of school, and given many opportunities to show his skill and dedication. He has done his very best to prove himself over the last few years, and make the Dark Lord believe that he is worthy of such an honour as bearing the Dark Mark on his skin, and that he is highly enthusiastic and devoted to the cause, just like his father before him. He has been a Death Eater for two years now, and continues to give it his all and enjoy the work the Dark Lord trusts him with.
Useful Skills: Intelligent - Fin is a smart lad, and though he can come across as a bit brash and loud, underneath it all he is clever and a quick study, and knows what to do in a crisis to save himself. An excellent pretender, he can play innocent until the cows come home and is often believed, making it hard to pin crimes on him, and he's cunning enough to not leave any evidence from any of his misdemeanors. He knows what is or isn't worth it, when it comes to the crunch, and he's a great judge of situations and how best to handle them.
Eager - Thanks to his father being so hard on him his entire life, Fin has always been eager to please, and will go out of his way to make his father proud any way he can. This would also translate to pleasing the Dark Lord. There is nothing that he wouldn't do to gain approval and be given his time to shine. His first kill was done without a single moment of hesitation and made him feel wonderfully powerful, and he doesn't question that it's the right thing at all, he just enjoys the thrill of it.
Useful Affiliations: Fin's father, Aurelius Avery, works in the Ministry of Magic in the Magical Transportation Office, and can arrange any travel, discreet or mass, at a moments notice, which is highly useful. The Averys are an old Pureblood family with a lot of wealth (thanks in recent years to Aurelius being too tight to spend any of his money), and are of great standing in the wizarding world.
Why join the Dark Lord? To put it in plain English, Fin wants to be a Death Eater to please his father. At the core of him, this is what drives him in the direction of the Dark Lord. If he were to go against his father's wishes, his life would not be worth living. Fortunately for Fin it isn't just that simple. He was raised from a baby to believe that magical folk are superior, and that Muggles are filth and the wizarding world should not be shrouded in secrecy so as not to make the Mudbloods feel inferior or threatened. He was taught to be proud of his lineage, and to look down upon anyone with tainted blood. His father is unyielding in his beliefs, and Fin has had it drilled into him from such a young age, that he cannot think any other way. It is his belief, too, now, and he's happy with that. He believes fully in the Dark Lord's cause, and will go to any lengths to help his vision come to pass, already having taken lives on the Dark Lord's command, with no hesitation. He will be happy to see Pureblood wizards standing tall where they rightfully belong, and nothing would make him more proud of himself than to be a part of making that dream a reality.
