Kissing someone in the middle of an Order meeting was a move Quentin might have done, but it definitely wasn’t Kit’s style. Kit had a more slow burning pace to his relationships, which was all fine and good. To each their own, but something about the arrogance of Silas’ demeanor in their few shared Order meetings made Q think that Kit’s naturally cool demeanor might not work on the vampire. “Honestly?” Q asked after taking another sip of his water and making no effort to get up from his comfortable spot on the floor. “Just go for it. If Dumbles trusts him, I don’t see why we shouldn’t.” Kit’s apprehension was understandable, but the man was literally raised by a reformed vampire, so to think there weren’t more out there was just asinine.

It didn't happen often, but when it did, it tended to be profound. Dumbledore wouldn't trust a murderous monster, would he? Kit doubted it, which made it hard for him to cling to the notion that Silas was potentially a bad person. "Maybe you're right," Kit admitted. And maybe it didn't matter. He still wasn't confident enough to make the first move with Silas, no matter how much he might want to. He sighed and pushed himself up from the wall, holding a hand out to Q. Pfft. “I’m obviously right,” Q said confidently, if not even a little offended at the hint of doubt in his best mate’s voice. Taking Kit’s extended hand and pulling himself up onto his feet, Quentin brushed his hair out of his face with his free hand. “I need a shower,” he confessed, knowing if they were going to be going anywhere, he wanted to smell a right bit better than he did right now. “Think that engaged chick would mind a little company in there?” he asked, mind wandering back to the hottie who had rebuffed his advances earlier but she had no doubt come and gone in all the time he and Kit had spent in the training room.

He loved Q, but his mate's willingness to have meaningless hook-ups with engaged women was just baffling to Kit. They were polar opposites in that sense, though honestly, Kit would overlook pretty much any flaws Quentin had. He was part of a rare group allowed to make actual mistakes and be less than perfect, the others in the group being his siblings. Everyone else was held to impossibly high standards and Kit had no intentions of changing that any time in his lifetime. "Wanna grab food?" Quentin had no flaws, at least none that he recognized or acknowledged. If some witch wanted to cheat on her fiancée with him, it wasn’t any of Q’s business. It wasn’t like he was the one cheating. The few real relationships he’d been in, Q had been faithful. Even if the relationships never really lasted long enough to put him to the test, he didn’t think of himself as the sort to cheat. Adultery wasn’t for him, but he didn’t begrudge any hot piece of tail who wanted to partake in it with him.
“Like you even need to ask! Give me three minutes,” Q replied, dropping his things on the bench near his locker before heading to the showers for a quick wash.
