 Wild and bereft assassin is born Fin kept conversation light after the terrifying incident at lunch. In fact, he was pretty sure that he would avoid that kind of talk with Jovi for at least a decade, just to be on the safe side. They'd gotten through lunch like nothing had happened, and the rest of the day had gone smoothly. Sightseeing for a few hours had proven interesting, but Fin was more excited about their next adventure. A Venetian masquerade. Holy crap, he was going to be the king of the ball, and had picked out a fabulous gold embellished suit to wear, complete with gold mask. He took a minute or ten to admire himself in the bathroom mirror while he waited for Jovi to get herself changed, which would no doubt take another two hours. It was fine, he could wait. Jovi had a delightful lunch with Fin. He was making her day absolutely perfect. It was their first anniversary and their second Valentine's Day together so obviously he had to make it absolute perfection. Getting ready for the masquerade ball was fun in of itself. There was just something about it being just the two of them, on holidays, that made her feel as though they were actual adults, people in their own rights. They weren't children, they were young adults creating their own little world to live in. The world was their's, they didn't have to answer to anyone. Together they could rule. The idea of taking charge of t he wizarding world excited Jovi and she daydreamed of being Minister for Magic while she got ready.
Jovi looked at her reflection in the pale gold mirror and affixed her mask magically. Her complexion was flawless, her gown hugged her figure in all the right places and her her shimmered in the light, making her appear like a copper toned Goddess. She walked to the bedroom doors, giving her wand an effortless swish so they would open for her. She took a few steps forward and paused in the doorway, giving Fin the opportunity to adore her and lavish her with compliments while eyeing him up in his dashing suit. They were a match made in Heaven and Jovi knew that their future would shimmer gold for the rest of their existence.

Wild and bereft assassin is born A while later the bedroom doors whooshed open to reveal the most stunning golden Goddess Fin had ever seen. His eyebrows rose, mouth dropping open, and he just stared for a few seconds before regaining his composure. He crossed the room to Jovi, his hands finding her hips as he admired the figure hugging gown she wore. "You are perfection," he growled, pulling her closer to him as though to kiss her, though he stopped short, lips lingering over hers teasingly. He'd never kissed anyone in a mask before but he knew it would be a clashing event and not at all sexy or romantic, so teasing would have to do. For now. "How am I supposed to get through the night without ripping this off of you?" he whispered with a half smile. His heart - and other things - were going crazy, and it was all he could do to take her by the hand and lead her out of their suite. Fin's stunned silence was simply perfect. It was just the response she'd been hoping for. It was wonderful to see him cross the room so quickly and she enjoyed his hands sliding over her hips. His carnal desire made her want to lay him on the bed and pull up her dress, but she didn't want to risk tearing the gown, it had taken her so long to settle on a dress. Although with his lips so close to her, Jovi felt a radiating need spread through her, "We can tear other things apart later." she smirked, holding on to his hand as he escorted her from their suit. Whatever the night had in store, Jovi knew that this was going be the most incredible Valentine's night of her life.

Completely hidden from muggle eyes, it towered over the city, silver spires twisting towards the sky, green and blue gems as big as the windows adorning the old stone walls in the most stunning patterns. Fin kept his hand on Jovi's, her arm looped through his as they headed up the steps towards the grand doorway, which was adorned with more precious gems, like a glittering arch. He presented his wand at the door, touching it to the scroll held out by the doorman, and when sparks flew from the page, they were allowed inside, where the decor was even more breathtaking. Gold everywhere, Fin's eyes were drawn upward to the ceiling, which was painted with beautiful illustrations of famous witches and wizards, casting spells that sparkled across the entire span of the main ballroom that they had entered. Everyone was masked, dripping in jewels and fine clothing, but none finer than those Fin and Jovi wore. Fin had the most spectacular evening planned for them. Jovi felt like an absolute Princess, even though they were only travelling to the ball still. The golden carriage ride was magical and the emerging castle was breathtaking. Jovi was in awe. She had never seen anything so grand or perfect. When they walked up the steps to the entrance, Jovi felt as though she belonged in a place such as this. She and Fin deserved nothing but the absolute best that life had to offer. A palace, servants, jewels, and splendour. All the riches in the world. Jovi's eye devoured all that they saw. She scanned the crowd and knew that without a doubt they were by far the most impressive couple. She looked about the room and followed the curves of the architecture to the ceiling. It was magnificent. Jovi could feel the gaze of the people falling upon them, undoubtedly impressed and in awe of the seemingly regal couple. "We'll show these peasants how to have a good time." She smirked, looking to Fin.

Everybody at the ball was rich, and yet none of them even came close to being in Fin and Jovi's league. As it should be. Fin turned to Jovi and dropped into a dramatic bow. "My Queen," he said, taking Jovi's hand and bringing it to his lips. "May I have the honour of this dance?" A King bowing before his Queen. Jovi could not have felt more smug and spoilt if she had arranged this evening. Fin truly knew how to spoil her and this was only the first day of their weekend away. Jovi had high expectations for the rest of the evening and the plans for tomorrow. "Hmm." She said, pausing a moment, acting as though she was contemplating anything other than a yes, "You may." She was ready to annihilate anyone that stood in their way. They would rule the dance floor and people would be in awe of their splendour.

He and Dora had practically become professionals and he hoped they would be able to expand on it somehow as the classes were highly successful and popular. But now was not the time for business, now was the time for drama. Fin took the lead, spinning Jovi in an intricate waltz all around the room, twirling her out and in, dipping, dropping, lifting, spinning, and eliciting gasps from the other dancers as they swept by, a vision of regal gold and dancing prowess. Jovi loved the control Fin took as he pulled her into his arms. The dance begun and Jovi took the spins the way she had trained to. She had grace and poise as she cleared the dance floor with her moves. Her partner was amazing and Jovi enjoyed really being able to show off with Fin and she couldn't wait until they had the opportunity to show off in front of their friends, family and just about anyone else that was around. They were the perfect couple, their dance was flawless and Jovi's dance teacher had taught her that you could always tell the relationship of a couple by the way they danced and tonight, everyone could tell that they were passionate lovers that were perfectly in sync, perfectly made for one another.

Fin grinned widely, having no idea what they were saying. His Italian was basic at best, but he could recognise a few complimentary words and threw around the word "grazie" a few times. He leaned in to speak in Jovi's ear, his face still plastered with a charming smile. So many admirers. Jovi was glowing in all the praise they were receiving. Words like 'bellissima' and 'impeccabile' were being thrown around. They were the perfect couple, gentlemen took her hand and kissed the back of it, bowing their heads to her hand. She felt like an absolute princess in that moment. Gown and an adoring crowd made for such a wondrous boost for her ego. It was a shame that Fin was growing tired of all the praise but if he wanted to have her alone again for a moment, then she wouldn't object. Jovi excused them and thanked the crowd for their kind words while allowing Fin to steal her away. "Not familiar with being so admired?" She asked with a chuckle. Honestly, Jovi could have stayed listening to the crowd of strangers adoring her for a good half an hour more, but it was their Valentine's weekend away and she wanted to spend her time with Fin, not complete strangers, no matter how praise-worthy they were.

Wild and bereft assassin is born Once they were away from the crowd, Fin gave Jovi a rueful smile. He loved being admired, but this weekend was about just the two of them. They could wow the crowds some more soon enough. Right now, he felt like he was walking on air, and he wanted to indulge in the god-like feeling with his girlfriend. "There's only one person I want to be admired by right now," he told her, taking her hand. "Come with me." A naughty glint in his eyes, Fin led Jovi out of the ballroom and up an ornate staircase with gilded gold rails dripping in jewels. At the top of the stairs he glanced left and right, choosing the hallway on the left that was lined with windows. Further along the hall sat a set of wooden doors that led out to a small balcony overlooking the grounds, which shimmered and twinkled with magical lights as far as the eye could see. It was beautiful, but no match for his date. Fin was Jovi's prince for the evening and she was his princess. He was absolutely spoiling her and showering her with all the affection she had ever craved from a romantic partner. Fin was so good, so perfect that it was almost hard to believe that someone like him could exist. She'd never dated anyone so understanding of her wants, needs and desires.
Jovi allowed Fin to lead her up the most extravagant staircase she'd ever seen in her life. The palace was adorned with wealth every direction you looked. No common household item was too small or menial not to be done up with gold and jewels and Jovi loved it. She walked with Fin down the corridor and stepped out on to the balcony, the winter air chilling her slightly, but her gaze across the grounds distracted her from the cool air as her eyes sparkled with the reflections of the lights and stars. It was a wonder, true magic like she had never known before. Jovi turned to face Fin, his sapphire eyes reflecting the same magical evening as hers, "Finley Avery, I love you." She'd never before felt comfortable telling a man that she loved them, but with Fin it was easy and true, "You have made reality superior to even the most sweetest of dreams." Jovi could not imagine a more perfect setting, nor a more perfect man.
