Vienna didn’t see her husband much these days. Camron was often away on business although Vienna suspected that at least a quarter of that time was spent with other men, which was fine with Vienna, but he was missing out on his children. Camron he’d been a fantastic father with Maxi, she couldn’t fault him, but since they’d had Tilly, Vienna felt she’d hardly seen him. She’d gone through her recovery after the birth with her mother looking after her. Her sister-in-law paid a few visits without Kingston and London had even helped out a bit, keeping Maxi entertained, but where had her husband been? Vienna wasn’t sure. After Maxi’s birth he’d been wonderful, after Tilly, Vienna wasn’t even sure he’d seen Tilly in the first week of her life after the day she’d been born. Another face that had been quite absent was a friend of hers that she’d known for quite some time. Julian seemed to have disappeared off the face of the planet for years at a time but he was sticking around now he had a niece and since his son lost his own mother. Vienna had seen him after hearing the news of Scarlet but it wasn’t a friendly catch up, it was more support and condolences. She’d left Tilly with Odette and taken Maxi along to play with Julian’s similarly aged son, Tristan.
Today Vienna had both the kids in tow as her carriage pulled up out the front of Julian’s home. It was once his sister’s place so it was good in a way that Julian had somewhere that he could always feel close to her. It was also lovely that Ariel had the chance to spend time where she should have grown up but Julian’s sister had been a casualty of war. It was always sad to lose a fellow pureblood but Vienna could not spare sympathy, it was well over a year ago now and she’d been mingling with muggles and various others with filthy blood, however Vienna would always be sensitive on the matter and keep her thoughts and opinions to herself. With any luck Julian’s half-brother, who Vienna was yet to meet, would do a fine job of raising the sweet little girl, and Vienna hoped that her own children would get along well with Ariel, and Tristan obviously, and help keep them guided in the right direction. They were the future purebloods that the world was in need of. They were the ones she was fighting for.
Walking up the beautiful garden path with Maxi running over the flowers in the garden that Vienna would perhaps fix upon their leave but they were only little daisies, they were nothing of significance. Vienna pushed Tilly up the path in her pram while the little one screamed, disliking her solitude alone in the pram rather than being comforted and held in her mother’s arms. “Shhh, Tilly, we’ll be inside soon enough, sweet little darling.” She cooed, pressing the doorbell. “Maxi.” She called for her son that was happily stomping as hard as he could on a line of ants. He looked up at his mother, continuing to stamp his feet before it clicked in his mind that his mother was demanding his presence. With one final stomp, Maxi giggled and then toddled his way on over to his mother as she waited by the front door, finding it strange that Julian was settling down in such an extravagant home with his son.

When the world's against me is when I really come alive "Tristan, take your bowl out," Julian called as his son ran to the window to watch the carriage pull up outside. Tristan's blonde curls bobbed about as he bounced up and down with excitement. He turned and sprinted to the couch where he'd left his empty cereal bowl. Julian had been raised by two wonderful people that took care of their home, but he'd spent half a decade living in forests and roughing it, he did not care if his son spilled food on the couches or carpet. There were no fancy rules in the Blackthorne home, and both lads were happy with that so far. "But I'll miss the door, da!" Tristan protested, panic in his blue eyes as he looked up at Jules. Julian smiled. "I'll wait for you." With a quick nod and a grin that mirrored his father's, Tristan ran out of the room with his bowl. "Slow down!" Julian's words likely fell on deaf ears, but he knew he had a good boy on his hands, Tristan had proven to be more sensible than Julian in the short while they had been living together on a permanent basis. His mother had instilled some wonderful manners in him, and a sweetness that Julian had never possessed in his own childhood. The doorbell rang and Jules hovered in the hall, waiting for Tristan, who came barrelling towards him like a tornado. He stepped back and let the three year old yank the front door open for their guests. "Hi! This is our new house! I've got my own room!" Tristan bombarded Vienna with an excited greeting, and Jules chuckled. "Come on in," he said, pulling the door wider so that Vienna could fit her pram through. He glanced behind her to see little Maxi stomping on ants and gave the boy a look of playful chastisement. "Maxi," he said loudly. "There's a toy chest in the living room, and you're allowed to tip it out and make a mess with Tristan." He was sure he'd regret saying that, but it couldn't harm to keep the boys entertained by allowing them to trash his living room for the day. Baby Matilda was only tiny, she would likely sleep through the entire visit, but he did hear her her fussing and take a peek into the pram. "Hello, Matilda," he said in what he hoped was a soothing voice. "It's nice to finally meet you."_______________________ tag: Vienna Phoebe Rosier words: 437 notes: <3 outfit: Chilled. template by izzy [googlefont="Dancing Script"][googlefont="Cinzel Decorative"]

The tumblers of the door turned and the front door to River House opened. Barely able to take in the faces of their hosts, Vienna was face to face with such an excited little chap that she hadn't seen in what felt like quite some time. "Oh! I'm sure Maxi would love to see your bedroom, Tristan." She smiled at Julian's son, unable to believe how much more grown up he was than the last time she'd seen him. His hair was still blonde and curly but it had gotten a little longer, and neater. It was falling nicely instead of being unsure of which direction to grow in. She supposed Maxi had grown since Julian had last seen him and Matilda had still been lovingly referred to as 'bump'. "Thanks, Jules." She said, pushing the pram into the house, walking past Julian and then setting the pram to one side. Meanwhile Maxi was coaxed in with the chance to pour a toy box worth of toys all over Julian's living room, an opportunity he just couldn't pass up.
Julian cooed, rightfully, over Matilda. She was fussing less than before but she would sleep soon enough once she was cradled snuggly in someone’s arms, either her own or uncle Julian’s once he’d got the boys settled and seen to her beverage needs. Jules had been thrown into the single dad life, but he seemed to be doing well. It had been over three months since Scarlet had passed on, but Tristan seemed to be doing well and Jules seemed full of life, which was excellent. No doubt their fresh and bright faces were helping. Vienna handled her own significant loss rather differently to other. Had Paris not been her twin perhaps she wouldn't have even thought of it a second longer than seeing her die, but as it was it was a strange thing to see your own face die. Vienna had enjoyed the moment. She'd savoured it. It was quite possibly the most relived memory in her mind.
