She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
A sober evening together was something they’d not had on this holiday thus far and if there was going to be a night where Dora didn’t feel the need to drink or cozy up to an attractive man, this would have been it. Their competition of best dancer was neck and neck as they stepped forwards and back, the sway in her hips catching the eye of several onlookers, and not just because she was covered head to toe in glittery sparkles. Fin fit perfectly around her as he guided her around the dancefloor, their bodies in sync with one another with very little effort. If only she was attracted to him, they would have made such a perfect couple but despite Fin being admittedly gorgeous and the pair having snogged previously on occasion, Dora simply couldn’t imagine them ever being an item. They were far too comfortable with each other and she knew way too much about him for there to ever be enough mystery between them to keep the romance alive. She could never be as vulnerable with a boyfriend as she was with Fin, and who would she run to, to bitch about her relationship if they were dating? Plus, the idea of dating her best friend gave her the willies, at least while sober. Ask again after she’d had a few martinis and the answer might have been different.
Light as a feather, Fin lifted Dora off the ground. She was as graceful as ever despite Fin’s wobble. Another point in her favor. “Don’t you dare!” she scolded him playfully as he teased her with the idea of dropping her. He set her safely down on the refreshments table and let go of her waist. Taking advantage of her position, she crossed one leg over the other and pressed her hands against the table beside her, leaning back for a moment as she caught her breath and listened to him speak. “I’d bet you could get someone to do lessons at Starlight during the day. Turn a little extra profit and get to throw me around a bit more.” She gave a smug little smile. “My admission would be on the house, of course.” She was unable to finish her thoughts as Fin had just taken a rather large swig of something he was not expecting to be alcohol – was his sense of smell going or just his eyes? A decorative sign levitating against the wall above the table clearly listed out the items on offer. Dora laughed at his second attempt at a refreshing drink failed and he had to resort to magic to get a glass of water. She reached for the glass of vodka he was clearly not going to be finishing and took a sip. “So dramatic,” she cooed tauntingly.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
The few seconds they were stood in the waiting room before passing into the little exam room made Dora’s stomach churn. One of the other pets sitting there must have had something horribly wrong with it to make such an overpowering smell. She choked down the sense that she would be sick right there in front of everyone, hiding her momentary queasiness from Johnny. With the door to the exam room shut, the stench lightened. She could breath easier in here, at least for now.
Placing the pooch on the little table at the center of the room, Dora gave Mimi a nice pet on the head to make sure she was situated. Her hands moved to the buttons on her cloak as she looked to Johnny who was asking after her presence here but in a way that made Dora want to snog his face off. He spoke to Mimosa, complimenting her love for the dog and making Dora’s seductive smirk widen as she shrugged her cloak off her shoulders and set it with her handbag on the little chair in the corner of the room, bending over a little further than necessary to make sure Johnny got a good look at her backside. “For me?” she asked in a sultry tone as she turned back around to face him. “Plenty, I’m sure, but let’s look at the dog first and see if there’s time after.” She giggled lightly as she stroked Mimi’s fur.
“Her ears have been a bit waxy,” Dora said lovingly as she looked at her pup. “I’m not sure if its normal and there’s surprisingly few books at the shop near my flat about waxy dog ears. I thought it best you have a look and since you don’t do house calls…” Hazel eyes looked up at him from beneath her lashes.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
She’d gotten up early to make sure there was time for Mimi to have an extra long walk before being locked up in the flat for most of the day. Normally Dora would have simply brought Mimosa with her to Fin’s house. The little dog accompanied Dora almost everywhere except work and when she was meeting up with Kit, who Mimi disliked for some odd reason. Disliked was a gentler term for Mimi’s feelings toward the handsome Auror but by keeping the dog home it saved Dora from seemingly endless nights of spiraling panic that always led to the same result; Dora cutting herself on the bathroom floor and Kit thinking poorly of her for owning such an ill-behaved pet. Morgana only knew what he would think when he found out that Dora was pregnant. She’d already had a dream in which Kit asked her to marry him, wanting to raise the baby as his own and Dora knew him well enough to know nothing of the sort would ever happen like that. He wasn’t interested in her like that and now that she was pregnant she doubted she could change his mind. Of all her male friends, Kit was the only one Dora had ever really wanted anything more from, besides a couple rounds between the sheets which was standard fare for any friend not named Fin. She assumed that was why Mimi disliked him so, she could sense Dora’s crush and mistook the energy or something. It was strange and confusing, and it cost Mimi the opportunity to spend more time with Kit but Mimi was always welcomed with Fin.
Fin was used to the pup accompany Dora everywhere by now and Mimi even had her own little set of dishes at his house because she was obviously welcomed to join anytime her mummy visited. It certainly had nothing at all to do with the fact that Fin was a prissy little witch who didn’t like the idea of a dog licking a plate that he’d later be eating off of, even if the plate had been washed thoroughly. Today, however, Fin needed no extra paws running around to worry about. There was going to be a full house as it was, because even though his family consisted of only three people, Fin excluded, managing their big personalities was like herding blast-ended skrewts. Dora agreed to stand in as a bit of a buffer, hoping to be able to redirect any inappropriate conversations about Aurelius’ completely incorrect belief that Fin was somehow not up to par. Fin was bloody perfect and his father was a tit. A handsome tit, but a tit nonetheless.
There were plans for Dora to arrive early because Fin’s father was always early and being a good friend, Dora wanted to minimize the length of time her bestie would have to be exposed to thinly veiled insults about his lifestyle, work, and romantic life. She had truly attempted to speed up the process of getting ready, she’d even laid out an outfit the night before but putting on the pink dress in the daylight made Dora looked washed out. She had to change. Her hair would be simple enough, she wasn’t planning to curl it today. She would simply wear it straight, a little fluff to give it some body but nothing time consuming until she was met with a stubborn lock of hair that wanted to be defiant and make her run late. By the time Dora fixed her lipstick and disapparated from her flat, she was no longer going to be early. Shooting for on time was now the goal.
Fin’s large mansion was literally like a second home for Dora. She had lived with him for more than a year while saving up for a place of her own, and she still felt at ease simply walking in whenever she wanted. Grabbing hold of the knob, Dora began to turn it but she stopped. Internally arguing with herself, she wasn’t sure that letting herself in in front of the Averys would be the best way to start their lunch off. Every action had to be weighed against Daddy Avery’s disapproval, and in the end she decided to wait and allow Fin to invite her in like a proper guest. She rang the doorbell and waited on the porch, her hands smoothing over any perceived wrinkles in the front of her olive-colored dress.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Fin was correct, Dora was far too busy with her decadent holiday lifestyle to notice a few new pictures around their waterfront hut. There wasn’t much time to notice much of anything between scheduled leisure activities for the pair and Dora’s extra-curricular ones. She had only woken up alone once since they had arrived on the island nearly two weeks ago and that was probably for the best as she didn’t have her little Mimi to ward off the bad dreams at night, as she had become accustomed. She would never say as much aloud, but the only time Dora even missed Mimi was at night. The holiday adventures she had planned for Fin and herself were too exciting to be homesick but when things settled down for the evening – or early morning as it sometimes was – the darkness would inevitably set in. Instead of snuggling up with her furry little pooch at night she settled for a handsome wizard who’s name she may or may not have known.
It was comforting not being alone and she hadn’t thought anything of it until Fin’s remark as they stepped onto the dancefloor. His serious expression making her momentarily regret the night before that she’d spent in the arms of another guest who Dora called ‘Kol’ because she couldn’t pronounce his much longer, very foreign name. Kol’s bungalow was down the beach several hundred yards from their own, and she’d had too much to drink to make the walk home safely that night. Kol teased that she would stumble into the ocean and drown but he also didn’t offer to walk her back to her own hut, so she’d slept in his bed and had a little fun with him in the morning before retuning home to shower. Looking at Fin now, perhaps she had ought to focus the remainder of her trip on spending more quality time with her best mate. She smiled. “Never.” Giving his cheek a quick peck, she left a soft pink imprint of her lipstick on his skin.
“But there’s no way in Hades you’re a better dancer than me,” she cooed, knowing for a fact she was right. Dora was absolutely wretched at so many things but moving her body was not one of them. Granted, she was much more skilled at doing the hustle than salsa-ing – if that was what you called it – but Dora was confident that after tonight’s lesson she could add salsa dancing to her resume. Strappy black heels raised Dora up enough that resting her left hand on his shoulder was comfortable as Fin took her right hand in his left. The instructors moved around the room as the couples rocked back and forth, some looking down at their feet to avoid stepping on their partners and receiving a gentle reminder to stay connected with their dance partner. Dora needed no such reminder. She teased Fin as they moved, batting her eyelids at him and claiming she would receive more compliments than him from the instructors.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
She wanted to simply crawl into a hole and die. How had this happened?! Everything around her seemed so much larger and scarier than it had ever appeared to her before. The walls around her were closing in and the hall seemed to stretch on for miles and miles. She could hear Fin’s voice but the words sounded distant and unearthly. It was as if he was only pretending to speak real words. She could feel his breath warming her hair as he spoke, feel his arms tighten around her thin frame, but none of it seemed real. It was very much like a dream, a nightmare. By the gods, if only this was a nightmare that she could wake from. “I don’t know what I’m going to do, Fin” she whimpered, face buried in his chest.
Pain formed at her temples and the center of her forehead long before the tears had stopped. Curled into the fetal position, her knees tucked up near her chest, she laid her head on Fin’s lap and stared into the void. At one point, Mimi had leapt up and tried to lick Dora’s face as she laid on her best friend for comfort, the pup’s breath smelling of chicken. Dora had simply turned his face away, curling further into Fin without a word to either of them.
Fin was the closest thing Dora had left to family, and wherever he was she felt at home. Fin signaled safety for Dora, even if she couldn’t recognize as much. She could be vulnerable with him and knew that he would pick up the pieces. He always had, even when they were young, but this wasn’t something he could buy her way out of. The enormous truth of her situation had yet to settle on her but that feeling of unknown terror lurked in the back of her mind, just out of reach but ever present. Dora hadn’t been able to provide any sort of answers to the questions Fin had posed, in truth she hadn’t even really understand any of them, no matter how many times he repeated them. From the moment Fin’s arms had wrapped around her thin frame, Dora had been in a fog. She was practically catatonic now, except for the momentary resurgence of tears and repeated statements of hopelessness that she spontaneously emitted from time to time.
Not even in sleep could she escape her current situation. Her dreams were full of absolute nothingness, enveloping her and pulling her down into a dark pit that seemed endless and cold. The only sounds were that of babies crying and Mimosa barking. She was alone, scared, and impossibly fat. Dora woke off and on all night, managing to sneak away from Fin long enough to hide away in the toilet and alleviate some of the pain that her tears had been unable to release. When she climbed back into Fin’s bed and nestled herself in his arms again, she sported a new bandage on her thigh.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Mimi yapped playfully as Dora tugged on her leash, unaware that her owner was attempting to stop her from digging up all the pretty flowers. Just about to move away from her place against the post to go interrupt the little hooligan pup, Mimi’s name was called in a most professional manner. Turning her head toward the door, Dora smiled. Johnny looked good in pretty much anything, and Dora was willing to pay galleons to bet he looked absolutely fantastic in nothing, but the way he managed to make bland blue scrubs look like something out of a PlayWitch magazine was something Dora would never understand. And never, ever complain about. “Mimi, look who it is. It’s your favorite vet.” She spoke to the dog without taking her eyes off the gorgeous wizard standing beside her. Dora bent down gracefully and scooped the tiny dog up in a single arm, cradling her like a rugby ball – not that Dora had ever taken an interest in the game, or any other sports – and approached the handsome vet. “Mr Townsend,” she cooed the greeting, flashing a flirty smile at him as she walked past him into the office and then waited to be shown to their exam room.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
She felt so tiny standing next to Fin without the added five inches her heels would have given her, though he was absolutely right to force her to change. She never would have made it in her initial attire. The boots and shorts were a necessity and she had managed to transfigure her bag into a little satchel that she could carry over her shoulder without worrying about it slipping and tumbling down the path behind them. Thank goodness for accessories, or else how would she have managed a flask all the way up here? She took the shimmery flask from Fin and took a drink, hanging on to it while she swallowed and looked out over the scenery. Taking another sip, she smiled. “Pretty worth it,” she agreed, resting her head on his shoulder. “So long as you never develop those photographs.” She was only half kidding but in truth Dora would be mortified for anyone back home to see her dressed down as she was, even if her rear end was on display in her short shorts as Fin snapped her picture hiking up behind her. She wouldn’t mind reliving these moments with him privately but if he had plans to share these photos in a slideshow like her mum used to after her vacations with daddy, Fin had another thing coming. Maybe she could cherry-pick the photos he shared. She had looked spectacular on the beach yesterday, and he’d gotten a nice shot of them lounging on the deck of their cabana under the starry sky their first night here. This definitely was a wonderful holiday, Dora was so pleased with herself for planning it.

@isadora & Euphadora Rose Parkinson -- Dora is only 2 years ahead of Izzy and as they were of approximate equal standing in the purity/wealth department, I suspect these two at least knew of each other. Dora would have thought it a shame when news spread of Cora's "condition" but she wouldn't have said anything of it directly. Dora was the pretty, popular, queen bee-type of the Slytherin house so whether or not Isadora was on Dora's radar, Isadora probably knew a bit about her just from her big personality. I'm open to any further sort of relationship you think these two might have, if any. @isadora & Amelia Margaret Greengrass -- Amy was one of the prefects for Ravenclaw the last several years and only a year below Izzy. I bet these two had plenty of interactions while in school, and Amelia would have thought her alright since she was a pureblood, but that bit with her sister being a werewolf likely spoiled any real friendship. @isadora & Hazel Winifred Vector -- My professy! Hazel teaches Charms and would have been the professor while Isadora was in school. She would have also been the Ravenclaw head of house for the last year (maybe two? I'm bad at math!) that Isadora was at Hogwarts. The rest of my characters are older so plots may be limited and nothing is coming to me at the moment, but I have mostly purebloods so there's bound to be some relations or at least family acquaintances that we can work out. She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Frantic, Dora pushed open each of the bedroom doors one by one. Fin’s room was the largest and she gave it a thorough search, not the least bit concerned that she might be walking in on her best friend and some random witch in flagrante delicto. His room empty and her mind not processing as rationally as it should, Dora ran to the room that she had once claimed as her own. Empty. Trying each of the guestrooms in a panic, she failed to recognize that there was no reason for Fin to be in any of these rooms. Not at this hour. Not without company, and he’d have mentioned if he was planning to have visitors; either to keep Dora away or to ensure she came over more frequently to play buffer between him and his family. The Averys weren’t her biggest admirers but they were respectable enough to not be flat out horrid to Fin in front of her. His family most definitely was not here, but the raven-haired witch didn’t know what else to do so she pushed open another door and looked around at the unoccupied space with mounting anguish.
As if the gods had finally had enough of watching her suffer, Dora heard Fin’s voice ring out behind her. She swung around to see him standing at the top of the stairs, her black hair falling limply around her shoulders. The spinning motion made her nauseated, but she forced the sick feeling down as she moved towards him, tears running down her face. Sticking her hand into the pocket of the cloak she still wore, Dora pulled out a small glass vial. “This!” she said shrilly, waving the wizarding pregnancy test in front of her as she closed the space between them, the faint pink liquid sloshing around inside the vial. As soon as he was within reach, Dora wrapped her arms around him and let the weight of her body hang there as she sobbed into his shoulder. Never had she considered this to be a possibility for her future. Unwed. Unloved. Pregnant. She was every bit the failure her mum believed her to be.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Scrambling to collect Mimosa as she snarled and fought ferociously to get at Kit was not an easy task. She likely looked like a baby giraffe learning to walk as she bent over and tottered after the dog, wrestling her into her carrier and pulling the zip closed as quickly as possible before the pup leapt back out and made another charge for the poor wizard. Holding her emotions inside as Kit let her out, Dora could feel the gut-wrenching sensation of regret and self-loathing overwhelm her. She only just made it around the corner and ducked into a secluded alley way before the tears spilled from her eyes. Holding the straps of Mimi’s fashionable carrier tightly over her shoulder, the pup now calmed and whimpering slightly inside the bag, Dora pulled her wand from the garter on her thigh and disapparated from the spot.
Back in her flat, Mimosa seemed content and possibly even a little apologetic as Dora set the carrier on the floor and unzipped it. She didn’t pull Mimi out as she might normally would have, instead she just allowed the top of the carrier to remain open. Mimi crawling out on her own as Dora disappeared into the bathroom, tears still streaming down her face. With a shudder, Dora stared at her reflection in the mirror, hands pressed into the counter, holding her thin body upright. She looked a fright. Her mascara had trailed down her cheeks and her hair was a mess after struggling to catch Mimi. Had she made a mistake in getting a pet? They’d only been in each other’s lives for something close to a month now and Dora had thought it was all going so well, but this morning…
Her body lurched forward as another bout of sobs came. Kit would probably never want to see her again. It was possible he’d already connected with Ollie and the two had decided Dora wasn’t worth keeping around after such a display. They would hate her. Black tears fell on her shaking hands as her makeup continued to run. Mimi’s whimpering apologies could barely be heard through the closed door over Dora’s crying. The pain of her isolation forcing itself out through her eyes. The pain was unbearable and there was only one way she knew to make it all go away.
Dora sat slumped against the wall of the bathroom as a thin trail of blood slid down her thigh and pooled on the tile beneath her. Mimosa barked furiously from the other side of the door, a wholly different sort of alarm being raised.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic The symptoms would come and go but whatever sickness this was, Dora was thoroughly over it. She would feel perfectly fine one minute, then completely nauseous the next. Brushing her teeth made her queasy. The normally delicious smells from the Burmese restaurant down the street made her queasy. Bloody everything made her queasy! She was spending more time in the toilets at work than behind the bar, and when someone jokingly asked if she were pregnant Dora refuted such an idea with the force of the sodding Hogwarts Express. No bloody way was she pregnant! That was simply absurd. Absolutely bonkers. Attempting to ignore the niggling feeling in the pit of her stomach, Dora distracted herself with housework. There were a few plates and glasses left in the sink that she’d not bothered with from the day before, and the clean dishes in the drying rack were already piling up. Tidying up the kitchen only took a few minutes, but the work left her completely knackered, so she decided to take a little nap before meeting friends for drinks. Mimi curled up beside her, Dora stroked the pooch’s head until her hand eventually stilled and sleep had taken her. Sordid memories filled her head, mingling with surreal encounters to create the most bizarre series of dreams Dora could remember in a long time. She slept fitfully on her cubbied bed of the studio flat, eventually pulling the deep purple blankets up over herself as the chill from the open window took hold of her. Barking woke her some time later and when Dora opened her eyes she saw that it was dark. How long had she slept for? The disorienting feeling of having just woken up was interrupted by the overwhelming need to run to the loo. Bent over the toilet, she relieved herself of the contents of her stomach and slumped down against the cool tiled floor. “Bollocks,” she groaned to herself. She could feel a pounding in her head as Mimi continued to bark near the front door. Thank Merlin Dora had had the good sense to sound proof her flat or else the dog’s barking would have given her away. Pets were not allowed in the building. “Mimosa,” Dora whined from the bathroom, not the least bit authoritatively. “Please. Be quiet.” Knowing her request would not be answered, Dora pulled herself up from the bathroom floor, smoothed her hair as she passed by the mirror, and found the pair of shoes that she’d kicked off in her sleep; one on the floor with its mate tangled in the sheet on the bed. Grabbing her cloak and Mimi’s leash, and shutting the opened window to her balcony, Dora took the pup out of the building so that she could tinkle. It was late and despite having slept for several hours, Dora found she didn’t have the energy to go out with her friends tonight. Several long nights in a row of work must have finally been catching up to her. Clearly there was nothing else the matter. Tired, but not wanting to be up with a rambunctious dog all night, Dora decided now was as good a time as any for Mimi’s evening walk. They’d walk around the block and then return home. Maybe she’d start that new book she’d gotten at the library a few days ago. A soothing cup of hot cocoa and a good book sounded lovely. They rounded the corner and walked past an Italian restaurant. Dora turned her nose up at the smell of it as she passed. There was a cleaners and a hardware shop, a little muggle bookshop she’d visited a number of times, and a pharmacy. Dora stood outside the pharmacy staring in through the large floor to ceiling windows. Mimosa happily sniffed around a nearby bush, unaware of the battle currently waging inside her master’s head. *** “Fin! Fin, I need you! Where are you? This sodding house is too bloody big! Fin!” There was a definite tone of panic in Dora’s voice as she let herself into Avery Mansion, dropping Mimi’s lead and letting it trail behind as the dog ran off into another room, happy to be unmonitored for the time being. “FINLEY!” she wailed at the top of her lungs, wandering into the living room and not finding him there. She turned back around and headed for the large staircase that would take her to the first floor, still calling his name. Tears were streaming down her face and all Dora wanted to do was to curl up with her best friend and let him convince her that it was all a bad dream.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic Having spent much of the morning feeling hungover, despite not having drunk anything during her shift at the club the night before, Dora was in no mood to get dolled up and venture out of the flat. If it hadn’t been for Mimi’s appointment with the handsome vet later that day, she might have just stayed in bed all day, ringing for Fin at some point to come take care of her. She didn’t have a fever or any signs of an illness other than being stuck in the loo for a few hours being sick, so she doubted that she was contagious in any way. Maybe tea the night before hadn’t settled with her. She’d never had food poisoning before. Was this what it felt like? As the day went on, Dora found herself beginning to feel better. Opening all the windows in her tiny flat had helped, and she actually had a good solid two hours under her belt without having to rush to the toilet to heave the entire contents of her stomach. Surely there couldn’t be anything left. Mimi barked and scratched at the front door, signaling that she needed to relieve herself. Taking in a deep breath of the fresh air, Dora climbed from her little balcony back into the apartment via the window, and slipped her feet into her heels. “Alright, alright. Let me get my cloak and then we’ll go use the loo.” Gathering up her things, including Mimi’s leash, Dora crossed the room with a few small strides. “Come here,” she said to the small dog as she clipped the lead to her collar. Mimosa licked her face happily and Dora smiled. “Your breath smells awful,” she said lovingly. “We’ll be sure to ask Johnny-cakes about that today.” Giving Mimi a good pet, the pair headed out for a potty trip and to begin their list of errands for the day. *** The veterinary clinic always had a faint smell of wet dog and medicated ointment but today the smell was overpowering. After checking in at the front counter with the reception witch, Dora explained that she and Mimi would sit outside and asked if the vet could come get her when he was ready for her. Standing and leaning against a pillar that held up the overhang, Dora watched as Mimi sniffed at a cluster of pansies. When Mimi started pawing at the dirt near the flowers, Dora gave her lead a sharp tug to curb the behavior.

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Dora was in utter heaven. Breakfast with a handsome Auror who was suggesting “slow dancing” in a cupboard for her birthday! The term easily shifted into something much more sensual in Dora’s mind as she pictured Kit, undressed with his rugged scars on show, gyrating against her in a darkened cupboard. Merlin have mercy! She was going to need a fan to cool herself down. Obviously, that wasn’t at all what Kit had meant for Dora to take away from the remark, the adorable grimace on his face told her as much but she also knew him well enough to know he’d never EVER say such kinky things aloud. At least not to her. Most likely to no one.
His remark about gift wrapping himself deserved a response, a full on one with all sorts of eyelash batting, biting of her lower lip, showing off her cleavage, and whatever else she could do to retort to such a serious rebuke of her affections, but Mimi interrupted them yet again. Standing from her chair, Dora turned to face the dog through the door. “You stop that, you naughty girl. What on earth is your problem today?” Turning to her breakfast date, she sighed. “I’m so sorry, Kit. She’s just being absolutely wretched. I think I should probably take her home. I honestly can’t think of any reason for her to be like this.”

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Fin was utterly adorable pouting over his paper umbrella, or lack thereof. He could be such a princess sometimes, and even Dora had made note of it and she was the most princess-like of any non-royal on the bloody planet. She even had her pup, Mimosa, boarded at a fancy doggie retreat in Scotland while she was away on holiday (on Fin’s knut, of course) and still Fin was the biggest princess of the pair of them. She sipped her drink happily, watching him over the top of her own paper umbrella. He asked about beach girl and snorkel woman, and Dora chuckled. “Well, Casanova, I think you might have to put a little thought into that one if you expect to make it work.” She sipped her drink again, thinking anyone who turned down a tumble with Fin Avery was off their rocker. If he did really want them both, she was sure he could manage it. Having been his housemate for a year and a half, Dora was no stranger to spotting, well, strangers trying to sneak out the next morning. The walk of shame from Fin’s bedroom was a well-worn path, though Dora had little room to talk in that regard.
Hiking didn’t sound like something Dora would be into, but she’d trade hiking with Fin if he gave her snorkeling. The latter came first and in true Dora fashion, the skinny brunette arrived for their lesson in the smallest bikini she could find, with a sheer cover that left nothing to the imagination. She topped the look with oversized sunglasses which were ultimately left on the beach along with her cover and sandals. She wasn’t sure what to expect, never having gone snorkeling before, but after getting Fin to help her with her bubble head charm, Dora found she was truly enjoying herself. Dozens of brightly colored fish, an eel, and two sea turtles later, she had ditched Fin and found a private cove with a cute bloke who was staying a few huts down the beach from her. Failing to notice how eerily similar to her best mate this wizard looked, Dora happily spent the next several hours with him, only finding her way back to her own hut well after lunch time.
Having packed nothing that most witches would have deemed appropriate for a hike up a mountain with a bunch of strangers, Dora stepped out of her bedroom to greet Fin in a pair of platform wedges and a short skirt. He promptly laughed at her, to which she punished him by making him hold her handbag while she browsed the various resort shops, putting together a more sensible outfit. Hiking boots – the world’s most hideous invention – paired with excessively short shorts and a t-shirt that was quite possibly the most comfortable item of clothing Dora had ever put on her body. She looked about as ready to hike in the mountains as a fish was to fly, but her outfit matched and her shoes would get her at least a part of the way there. She told Fin he was to carry her if she found she couldn’t make it, but it actually wasn’t very difficult to reach the gorgeous clearing near the top of the mountain and look out at the entire island beneath them.
