She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
Feeling satisfied that her best friend found her attractive, Dora grinned and waited for him to pull his own cute butt out onto her patio, waiting for the oh-so-expected bitching to begin. To her surprise, Fin only offered to make her patio larger and there was barely a hint of whining at all in his voice. Dora grinned. “Just hang the plant, Avery.” As Fin began climbing on the little bit of furniture she could fit outside her window, Dora dusted the snow off the little railing that surrounded her teeny outdoor space. She leaned back against the railing, allowing Fin to have as much of the space as he needed to in order to find a place to secure the mistletoe. It didn’t seem to be all that difficult and yet when he hopped off the bench he had a ridiculous look of a man who had just completed a hard day’s work. Dora applauded his efforts.
Fin asked for her to try it out, and he puckered his lips and closed his eyes as he stood just beneath the mistletoe. Dora giggled and let him stand there like an idiot for a moment, kissing the gently falling snow. After a few moments Dora walked all of two small steps to reach him, then reached up and planted a chaste kiss on his lips. “My hero,” she cooed, batting her eyes dramatically at him. “Now I’m all ready for Christmas,” she continued in a fairytale princess sort of voice. He had, of course, come to cheer up her Christmas, so she’d play along . “I just need to know what you want. Money is no object! Also, I’ll need your credit card.” She tilted her head and gave him a clearly false look of innocent, turning back and forth as if to cement her look of purity.

Under the Mistletoe Her kiss was sweet and quick, and exactly what he had expected from her. It might have been slightly more drawn out had they been drinking something other than tea, but as it was, they were both in their right minds and Fin flashed her a snowy grin in appreciation of her sweetness. She might have been a complete whore at times when it came to sleeping around, but she was his whore, and she was adorable and beautiful, and Fin got to see so much of the good in her that he could easily ignore her faults. He expected that she felt similarly about him, because Merlin knew he had enough faults to fill a Gringotts vault all on their own, but she seemed to adore him nevertheless. It was almost as though they were two normal, lovely people standing there in the snow sharing a cute moment, and not a murderer and a harlot with far too many secrets. He liked the facade, and he liked that anyone watching them from the street below or the windows facing would just see them being cute together. She immediately jumped onto the subject of Christmas presents and Fin's grin broke into a laugh. "You can have my card for the weekend, but I'm choosing my own present," he told her, shaking his head. "I'm thinking about putting a lake in my back garden so I can skate," he mused, resting his hands on the balcony and leaning over to look at the ground below. The view wasn't very interesting, but he was lost in images of his garden and where a small lake might fit in to the wild flowers. "So we can skate on it like we used to do at school." He had loved winters at Hogwarts, with the lake frozen over and the grounds looking absolutely magical for months. "Hire me someone who can magic me a lake, maybe get me a pair of flashy skates and I'll be happy." Was that really the best thing he could think of for a Christmas present for himself? No, but he had already bought himself all of the other cool things he'd seen that he liked. There wasn't much left for Dora or anyone else to get. It was selfish, but he liked being able to buy himself nice things whenever he fancied, and he didn't intend to stop... ever. Besides, being able to be as ridiculous as requesting a lake in your garden just so you could skate on it for a couple of months a year was fun! He turned back to the window. "What about you, what do you want? Diamonds? Clothes? A house?" His smirk was blatant with the last comment, and he ducked under the open window to head back inside, making sure to wiggle his bum as he went. "Have a good look, love," he called over his shoulder as he crawled through as slowly as possible. He stood and moved aside to make room for Dora to come through, brushing snow out of his hair and rubbing his hands together for warmth. He didn't know what Dora might ask for this year, but whatever it was he was sure he could get it for her, as long as she didn't ask for her own private island or something outrageous, he wasn't going to go that far for her. He'd get himself one, of course, but there was a limit on what he'd buy friends. A house, sure. A castle? Nah. He had learned a trick or two from his father when it came to saving money and knowing when and how to hold on to it. Maybe he'd get Dora diamonds and some nice clothes. Maybe give her a raise and less hours at the Starlight. There were far too many options, he needed her to narrow it down. _______________________ tag: Euphadora Rose Parkinson notes: <3 template by izzy[googlefont="Allura"]

She was a little bit ruined a beautiful disaster but she was magic
It was his money, if he wanted to pick out his own present then who was Dora to argue, but she would of course put her own touches on it because that was what she did. Like the nicknames she gave her dearest friends, Dora couldn’t be bothered with being average. She had aspirations of grandeur and she wouldn’t settle for just getting Fin what he asked for. She would get him that and more. Though maybe not too much more. How much does a sodding lake even cost? “That sounds like an awful lot of effort. Can we just shag instead?” she teased but made a mental note to start hunting down the best lake person money could buy. Lake designer? Merlin, she didn’t even know the title she would need to look for in order to begin her search, but she would figure it out.
The idea of skating on a private lake was a nice one, and as Fin sent her thoughts to their time at school, Dora smiled. Perhaps Fin needed a giant squid, too, like the lake at Hogwarts held. Or maybe something smaller but equally as delightful to watch in the water in the summer months. The attention was turned Dora and what she fancied for Christmas. Any other time of the year, Dora could whip out a list of hundreds of items, ranging from extravagant to ridiculously extravagant, of all the items and experiences she wanted in that one moment. At Christmas time, however, her list was much shorter. She wanted her brother back. Seeing Theon again would make the holiday perfect and without that there was little to truly cheer up her mood. Fin tried, and she loved him for it and played along so as to not hurt his feelings for all the effort he put in. She knew from experience that she just had to wait. Christmas would pass and the ache in her heart would lessen. “A little more of this view,” she answered instead, giving his bum a playful smack as he crawled slowly back into her flat.
She made it back inside and shook the snow from her hair, then her dress. She looked around the place and smiled. A cute little tree on the dining table and some mistletoe on the balcony. That was more than enough Christmas cheer. “Let me go freshen up, then you can treat me to lunch while I detail my Christmas list for you.” She grinned and gave him a peck on the cheek before disappearing into the bathroom without giving him a chance to argue. A few minutes later she returned. Scooping her handbag from a shelf over her bed, Dora ushered Fin out of the flat as she began running down a list of anything and everything she could think of that would fit in her apartment for him to consider giving to her.
